Ipod distorting music when i press the "Menu" button.
When i press the "menu" button and sometimes when i just touch it the now playing song distorts... really crap sound too.. Any help would be greatly appreiated. Thanks.
no, it didnt work, the distortion has just gotten worse. I am hopeful that the warranty will hold out since ive only had it since christmas

You should definetely contact an apple store! If your warranty is valid they will probably fix it for free. Until then go to settings, general, accessibility, assisive touch and turn it on. A circle will appear that does exactly what your home button does.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Android Firefox beta (17) crashes when I press the menu button.
Hi - I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this issue I've been having with Android Firefox?
Whenever I press the 'menu' key on my phone while running FF (tried with 16 and beta/17), the application crashes immediately. I briefly see my Android homescreen, then the FF page asking me to submit a crash report to Mozilla. I've done this, of course, and one of the links is attached.
I'm a bit surprised that I have not been able to find any mention on the interwebs about this issue. Perhaps someone can let me know what's going on?

The problem is that Meizu has modified android.policy.odex in a bad way... introducing a null-Dereference error in it...

Ipod Turns off when I press the center button...
I have a 4G Ipod Nano. It was working perfectly and all of a sudden it started giving me troble. Sometimes when I try the center music to select a category, it shuts off and restarts. Can anybody help?

I have an older iPod that no longer shows up in iTunes or appears to be charging. When I press the Menu and Select buttons, the Apple logo appears and then an icon of a battery with an exclamation point. Is it dead for good?
If it is otherwise working, you can change the battery. If you want to do it yourself, you can buy the part on eBay and other online sources. Just make sure you know the type of iPod you have so that you get the right part.

You can also have a repair business do the work.
If it is just the battery, if you do a Reset (using the Menu and Select buttons) while it is connect to your computer, I think it should still be recognized by iTunes. -
I'm trying to help my sister in law get Itunes on her ipod touch. When I press the itunes icon on the home page it says "cannot connect to the ipod store". Similarly when I press the You Tube icon is says "Cannot connect to You Tube". I'm able to access the web through safari. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

When I press the + and - buttons, the volume icon appears, but the slider is empty. When I receive a call, I hear it ring, and I can hear the ringtones in the sound menu. However, the message/mail notifications don't make any noise, and I can't hear the sound menu.
- During a phone call, if I put the conversation on speakers ==> it works and the volume bar reappears. I can control the volume with + and - buttons. But when the conversation is over, the bar disappears again.
- With the headphones, everything is ok!
- I also noticed (only a few times) that when I do a silent to ringer mode, the volume slider reappears and works correctly during 2 or 3 seconds, before disappearing again.

When I press the iTunes button on my ipod touch I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store' . My wifi is working fine, I can connect to safari & you tube, no parental setting in place, and time and date are correct. Can anyone help please? I have restored my ipod to factory settings and rest it.
I also tried moving the date forward by a year and then moving it back to normal and it still doesn't work. i can't find an automatic update of time zones on my itouch to turn this off.

Have you tried giving your iPad a reset? HOld down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. Sometimes when there's a glitch resetting can clear that up.

Since Lion installation the remote control first generation, doesn't work as usually. On Leopard when I pushed the menu button, it opened a menu that showed music, films, photo. Now it doesn't work anymore. Is there anyone to explain me why this happen? Thank you.
Sadly Snow Leopard was the last OS X to have Front Row and it is no longer offered in Lion or Mountain.

Love Firefox but it's annoying that if I'm using a search engine (I use lots of subscription legal search databases), when I press the back button all the data I entered in the search boxes has disappeared. I'm sure Firefox didn't use to do that?

Small problem on a DVD burnt with DVD Studio Pro: when a track is playing, pressing the Menu button gets the user back to the Menu (good); but if the user has pressed Stop first, DVDplayer refuses to go back to the menu and says "unauthorized".
Is there a setting somewhere in DVD Studio Pro to correct this before I burn other DVDs of my project?

There are no authoring options in DSP to accomplish this.
Replicated disks play nicer with most players than DVD-R. It could be related to the type of -R media. Most studio releases are created in Senaris and many studios make authors sign a contract that says they will not use DSP to create studio released DVDs. -

Some times when I press the home button to read my finger the screen becomes black and it shows the Apple logo, this take a few seconds to get back the screen and this has been happening even 3 or 4 times in a row!
What should I do?Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
