Ipod dock that includes an rf remote

Dear Apple Community,
I am in need of an ipod dock that includes a rf remote control with an LCD screen.  I am using a keyspan tuneview right now.  I love it.  I would purchase another one except they are discontinued.  Any ideas?

Or just buy a new receiver from say Yamaha, Onkyo, etc. and purchase the optional iPod dock with it.

  • New $400 iPod dock that plays video games!!!

I just spent $400 dollars on a new iPod dock that also plays video games. You can hook up your iPod via USB2.0 to a Xbox 360 and it works great. You can view your iPod contents through the Xbox 360 dashboard and play it through your home theater. You can also stream music off of your iPod while your playing a game. Too Cool!!

  • I am trying to connect an IPOD NANO 7 GEN to an IPOD dock that has a 30pin slot.

I have an ipod nano 7 gen that i would likee to connect to my Panasonic audio system. They supply a dock with a 30 pin socket.
What do i need to connect the two?

    Hi pat599,
I had the same problem - what worked for me is to buy a Apple Lightning to 30 Pin adaptor. Works like a charm

  • How do I transfer existing ipod playlists that includes my own CD songs from a former computer to a newly authorized computer that ONLY has the iTunes songs I purchased appearing in my library without losing my ipod FULL song lists?

Worried if I sync, I'll loose all the songs on existing ipod that don't appear in new library.  I backed up my former FULL itunes library (purchased songs and my own CD's I burned into library) from old computer to an external hardrive so I have the music files.  Is there a way I can load from external drive former itunes library directly into new itunes library?  THANKS!!!

I just had to do this very thing.  I'm sure there are other ways but IMO the easiest is to haven the old computer set up on the same network as the new computer then turn on home sharing on both computers and move the old library into the NEW computer.  if the old computer is not available anymore you can plug in the external drive and go into itunes and under the file tab there is an option to add to library by file or folder  I f your library is big this can be a tedious process.  Good Lucl

  • 3rg gen ipod dock connector not working with new imac on leopard 10.5.1

Recently found that my 3rd gen ipod is not working properly when i connect it using its dock. itunes just freezes and comes out with some "disk insertion error". however, when i don't use the dock and connect the ipod to the imac directly using its own firewire cable, everything is ok and working properly.
it seems to be the ipod dock that is the problem. but am wondering why wouldn't it work? any ideas? I'd still like to be able to use the ipod dock...
    thanks.

I also have an Ipod dock that was universal, it had the attachments to attach any ipod needed. It also has a USB port but when I plug in my ipod shuffle, and change the settings to 'ipod' it doesn't work.
The make of my Ipod dock is a TEAC ipod dock, model GR-7I, 2006

What model w/iOS does not work?
Does the manufacturr say it will work with your model iPod and its iOS?
Not all iPod models and iOS are compatible.
That is all I can say since you did not identify the specific dock,

  • Cannot get any sound forn iPod nano 3 on my JBL iPod dock, it used to work fine, but I haven't used it for awhile.  Appreciate any suggestions for non technical grandmother. Thanks

I have an older iPod nano.  I have a JBL iPod dock that worked fine with this over a year ago, but I tried it recently and I cannot get any sound to come out.  I am a technically challenged grandmother so this stuff does not come naturally.  Help would be appreciated.  Thank you

Turns out there was a topic on the forums there with guy having same problem and they linked him to topics that saved his iPod too.
Thank you so much, it works now

Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free.

  • HT3176 What is the numerical remote code for the apple remote? I would like to program another manufacturers remote to control my iPod dock

I would like to control my iPod doc with my Denon remote.  Does anyone know he numerical remote code for an apple iPod doc?

    Hi kwg06516,
This remote(RMT-B126A) doesn't have programmable codes because its not a universal remote. It is exclusive for your player(BDP-S3200) only. It may control other devices such as TVs but with the same brand only.

  • Front Row Using iPod Dock - Is it possible.

Hello there. I've been trying to find some info on the iPod Dock only because I've heard from some that it includes the Apple Remote, but can not seem to get this confirmed on either the apple store or amazon.
First off is it even possible to use the remote with the iPod Dock? From my understanding it is, so if that's the case wouldn't it then be possible to use Front Row on the Mac Pro since the IR port is now technically there?
I mean mainly I use my Mac Pro for doing work, but as the system is in my bedroom I think that it's kind of silly that I can't lay in bed at night and watch a movie without having to get up out of bed or something. That's really my only complaint about the system.. you pay a fairly larger amount more for being able to use a feature that's already built into the system the only means to access it is to purchase a separate ~$600 system.
Oh well sorry to rant off. Anyway, can you control Front Row on the Mac Pro using the iPod Dock?
    Cheers
    -rr

I'd like to be able to also do this with my iMac G5, the iPod dock connected to it and my Apple Remote. Unfortunately, a search of versiontracker.com finds lots of apps to extend functionality on Macs that already are supported (ie have built in IR), as well as apps that let you use Bluetooth devices as a clicker on any Mac.
    Anyone got a suggestion?

  • IPod dock vs Nano dock

Other than the fact that the iPod dock can be used with most iPods is there any real benefit of getting it over just the Nano dock?
also, can you get a black dock of any type, because a black one would look a whole lot better with my black Nano!

And if you use the universal dock you can also use the remote!
Except the menu button only works with a Mac:
    Apple Remote with iPod
If you connect your iPod to a home stereo, powered speakers or TV set, the Apple Remote lets you experience your songs, slideshows and more from across the room. Just plug your iPod into the Universal Dock and choose a playlist, slideshow or video. Then, sit back, relax and enjoy. Ready to move on to the next song? No need to get up from your sofa--just press the forward button on the Apple Remote. Phone ringing? Just click pause, then pick up where you left off.
The Apple Remote offers play/pause, volume control and forward/back buttons.
    Apple Remote with Mac
Included with the new iMac G5, the Apple Remote gives you total command of your music, photos, videos and DVDs from anywhere in the room. It combines with Front Row - a menu-driven, full-screen interface - to make accessing your iMac's digital bounty from any seat in the room as simple as navigating your iPod. When you click the Apple Remote's Menu button, your desktop fades and Front Row's sleek interface takes its place to give you control over your music in iTunes, your photos in iPhoto, the videos in your Movies folder and whatever DVDs you want to play. Turn up the volume. Shuffle. Skip to the next chapter on your DVD. Play a slideshow, a home movie you made in iMovie, even a movie trailer. Just sit back and enjoy the show.
