My Ipod does not want to open !!!!!!!! it is loaded!

    Not knowing what "loaded" means:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    See:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Run this to help if it identifies the cause

Have you tried on another computer to help determine if you have a computer or iPod problem?

  • Ipod is Frozen:  Does Not Want to Charge and Be Recognized By The PC

Yesterday, while I was charging I noticed that the charging sign appeared and the meter was not moving. The charging sign is black not the colored one that we normally see in the 5th gen. Sometimes the apple logo appears and that's it. It's basically a frozen apple and the pc does not recognize it. I can not reset it either. Anything I should do before i smash this? Thanks.

Try a different USB port, if that doesn't work reinstall itunes.

  • My laptop does not want to charge

My laptop had started to shut off on its own. At this time the battery light and the plug light had been on. As I had went to unplugg the ac adapter from the computer the screen had started to brighten and then dim a few times. Alot like when it does if you unplugg it then plug it back in when you have the settings to dim when not in charge. It would come on for a little while like this and now it does not come on at all. Also the lights for the plug and the battery does not come on when when it is plugged in. Is it the power jack on the laptop, the ac adapter, or is it something else entirely like the motherboard that could be causing this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

All three of those could be possible culprits.
First, what model do you have? There should be a label on the bottom of the notebook.
Turn off your laptop, unplug all wires, remove the battery, and hold the power button for thirty seconds. Afterwards, reattach the battery and connections. If it still won't start, remove the battery and start with just the AC power. Next try without the AC power and just the battery. Also, check that the RAM is inserted securely. Instructions can be found in your user's guide if you need.

  • Z10 does not want to charge with AC after update

Hi, please can anyone help.  After the newest software update (Im now on 10.2.0.424 ) my Z10 does not charge if plugged into an wall socket.  I can only charge via my pc or laptop.  This is very annoying as I charge my phone at night time.  How do I fix this......
    Thank you
    Louise
PS : How do I get into the battery settings ?

It may have something to do with the update and it could also be the night time charging (not really recommended)
Try a reset:   When powered on hold down the power button for 10 seconds.
If it does not help post back, someone else may have another solution.
Also consider the below if you do not find a solution.
You can restore your phone to factory settings if you wish to see if it corrects your issue. Resetting to factory settings will wipe out all your data so you should save it first. To save all your stuff download and install BlackBerry Link on your computer from the link below. Resetting will not back-up the OS on your phone. Once you have downloaded and installed BlackBerry Link connect your phone to your computer and save your stuff. Once saved disconnect your phone from the computer.
To reset your phone: tap the Settings App, scroll down and tap Security and Privacy, tap Security Wipe, tap the blank box and enter blackberry.
Once Wiped reconnect your phone to your computer and install your stuff.

  • My Iphone does not want to charge with laptop. What can I do?

    Hello,
Last August I bought Iphone 4S and i am currently in another country for the summer and I wont be back until september which meqns my 1 year waranty is over and my Iphone is expreincing problems with speker sound and it wont charge with laptop. I am afraid that if I go to a local apple store they wont accept the Iphone due to the waranty. So what can I do? please help and thank you.

Does the iPhone charge when connected to the power adaptor?
Are you connecting the iPhone direct to a USB port on the computer - not being connected to a USB hub of any kind?
The local Apple Store can and will run a hardware diagnostic on the iPhone to determine if this is caused by a hardware problem at no charge regardless if the iPhone is no longer under warranty and purchased in another country.

  • I just got an iPod touch 4th generation. When I plug the USB into the computer, the iPod does not recognize the charge and the computer/iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod. Please help.

The computer I am referring to is a Windows. However, when I use the same USB cord and plug it into a MacBook Pro, the ipod is recognized and the ipod recognizes the computer. Also, it gets charge from the Wall outlet as well.

empire_of_the_sun, the link you provided ois for other model iPods, not the iPod touch. You article refers you to:
If you have an iPod touch, see iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows.

  • My Ipad does not want to charge

Ive used power outlet and computer but the Ipad still has the Not Charging Icon at the top right of the screen, how do I know if its the battery or if i just need to replace the cable.

Could be the cable, could be the power brick, could be the outlet. Also, you are using an iPad power brick? iPhone ones may look similar but don't put out the same amount of power.
Saying 'not charging' via computer is normal. Most USB ports don't put out enough power to meet the iPad's requirements, so it's best charged plugged into the wall.

  • IPod does not charge nor shows up in Windows or iTunes

I bought a iPod nano 2Gb two days ago. After some trouble shooting I got it to work and was able to get some music on the iPod. After using the iPod yesterday I wanted to recharge the battery.
Since the computer was still on I reconnected the iPod the same it was connected when I synced it. This time however the iPod was not recognised by Windows or iTunes nor does it recharge.
    So far I've tried:
    - reset the iPod;
    - restart the computer;
    - reboot the USB drivers;
    - re-install iTunes;
    - restart iPod service on computer.
So far nothing worked. Can anyone help me??

Yesterday I tried to completly deplete the battery so now the iPod really doesn't do anything since it does not want to charge via the usb.
Before depleting the battery I tried forcing the iPod in disk-mode and then connect it to the PC. Results, nothing happened when connecting the iPod...
This evening I'll try the suggestion of adding usbstor.sys and usbsor.inf and restart the pc and see if that works. (link to that suggestion: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=785480&tstart=30)
If that fails I think I'll just return the iPod and see if I can get my money back. It only worked once since I got it three days ago.....
Still open to suggestions if anyone got some.

  • How do i enable a disabled ipod that does not want to restore

the ipod does not want to go into recovery mode or anything and it is disabled for at least 21,883,900 minutes. help

Restore, if iTunes will let you.  Everything except the password will be restored.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  Be forewarned that it takes a long time.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • HT1212 what should I do if my Ipod touch show me the appel sign and does not want to go further than that

    please asking some help
my ipod touch felt down and since show me the appel sign and does not want to go further but it's charging correctly. when I connect it to the computer it's ask for a passcode that i dont remember.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I've run diagnostics. Can't find device. I've tried resetting. The toggle has been turned on and off.

Cable works fine on my other iPod. Reset by pressing menu and center button together for 6-10 seconds. Left it to charge for many hours. Started acting up while running. Suddenly the music stopped playing but my Nike + was still working for the rest of my run. Took it straight it home and plugged it in to the wall to recharge since the battery was fairly low. Looked like it recharged ok but then screen went blank and now does it not show up on iTunes, does not seem to recharge by the wall charger (apple wall charger plugged into a surge protector in India). I have turned the hold switch off and on many times.
Sounds like a repair issue, which is not easy to do in India :(
