IPod doesn't work on the iPhone after upgrading to ios4

Well, as the subject text says, my iPod does not longer work after upgrading.
I can open it, and after two seconds it "falls" out. It worked a little longer earlier today, but when I downloaded a podcast it didn't appear in the podcast folder.
I have restarted the phone several times and it still doesn't work

To take the magic out of it, it seems that the upgrade had trouble with transferring data. Not only did my ipod not work, but I also lost my ringtones. I saw a different post that suggested to go back to itunes and to uncheck the sync ringtones box, then sync, then re-check it and sync again. That worked. I tried the same thing for my music. It worked. Unchecking the sync music box will erase the music from your phone, and then when you re-sync, it will load the music all over again. At least it worked.

IPod doesn't work on the iPhone

I can't get the iPod function to work at all on my new iPhone. When the button is pressed it goes to a blank screen, appears to think about if for a moment and then reverts to the home page. The phone is recognised on iTunes and the playlists I've selected are listed as being on there. I then tried buying some music on the iPhone. This went without a hitch and I was able to transfer the music to the computer, (it listed it in a "Purchased on iPhone" playlist). However, there is no record of it on the phone at all!
In the Setting>General>About section it says that there are 0 Songs on the iPhone but the available capacity corresponds with the capacity on iTunes, (which thinks 655MB is being used for Audio).
Help!

I didn't use the term Reboot since there is no such thing term wise.
It is power off and on, then there is a Reset which is a system restart without powering the iPhone off and then a complete Restore.
Basically a Reset accomplishes powering an iPhone off and on so not much point in doing so first.

iTunes doesn't sync iCal with iPhone after upgraded to Mountain Lion. I even tried to use Replace Information On This iPhone and it doesn't work. Any idea guys?

I'm having the same problem. It's as if my iPhone and MacBook Pro now have two separate calendars.
Basically, I have a MacBook Pro (Mountain Lion, 13", late 2011) that I sync via USB with an iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1). Before upgrading to Mountain Lion, all of my iCal events would sync flawlessly. But none of the events I've created in iCal (Calendars) since upgrading have synced to the iPhone. Likewise, no new events that I create on the iPhone Calendar will sync to iCal. Also, changes to an existing event (even one created before upgrading to Mountain Lion) don't get synced either.
Everything else seems to be syncing just fine though (music, apps, contacts, etc).

Will ipod car adapter work with the iphone??

I bought my iPhone yesterday at an Apple Store and the guy who helped me said if I already have a car charger for my iPod then it would work with the iPhone and I wouldn't need to buy another one.

3g doesn't work if the iphone asks for wi-fi connections

If I try to connect to internet and the Iphone asks if I want connect to wi-fi and I don't want, the 3g doesn't work. Only after turn the iphone off/on the 3g works again.

Old iPod doesn't work with the newest iPod download

I have a 20 GB iPod, model # MP102. I decided to restore it because it was not syncing well with iTunes. When I did that, I also updated my iPod software . Now it won't work at all. Sometimes I get the error 1429 message, but mostly, iTunes just tells me that the iPod is corrupted and should be restored, which I've done 8 times now. I'm thinking that my iPod is so old that the newer iPod software messed it up. Is that right? Does anyone have any ideas about what might be the problem. It worked fine yesterday.
P.S. I even put the iPod into disk mode and tried to restore it that way, and that didn't work either.

Thanks, I've actually done that several times now--holding down menu and select. It hasn't worked. I also took it to my local Apple store and learned that all they'll do is replace the battery, which doesn't help since it works fine. They don't work on iPods in my area. I suppose I'll have to mail it in.

Do ipod video videos work on the iphone?

I dont mean do they work like show picture but do i have to reformat them or re-rip my dvds or do the regular ipod video format works 100%. I am asking this because the iphone has a better resolution then the ipod video which i have and the videos are formated for the ipods resolution. Can the iphone clearly display these same videos?

If you compare the Tech Specs pages for both devices you will see all have the same limitations. However, as with any such devices, any particular movie may have problems depending on normal variations in hardware manufacture, movie content, the manner in which you converted the content, and the amount of "headroom" specified in your settings. All of my iTunes files play equally well on iPhone, iPod and TV using the iPod/iPhone targets with the sole exception being alternate language files which I created for test purposes in May of last year. These files, of course, currently only play properly in players updated to handle alternate language switching.
Can the iphone clearly display these same videos?
Quality is a matter of perception. They look fine to me, but then I am not a "perfectionist" when it comes to viewing my files -- especially those coming from 50, 60, 70, or 80 year old media sources.

Photo Stream Doesn`t work on the iPhone

My iPhone share it`s Photos with my iPad and iPod, but does not receive any photos from them. The iPod and iPad share the photos between them perfectly.
iCloud and Photo Stream on my iPhone are on.

I would not expect anything to download, since streaming only starts when you turn on photostream on the device and you just turned it on. Once you make first picture it will stream right away. Check out photostream FAQs.

in order to get all pictures from old phone, you need to create old phone back up and restore new phone from that back up.

Chrome doesn't start half the time after upgrading to Lion.

When I click on the Google Chrome icon either on the dock or from Applications, nothing happens half the time. The icon on the dock doesn't do the bouncy thing any more, it just sits there like a smug little twit, taunting me, daring me to do something. If I logout and login, it often starts working. Sometimes I need to reboot the machine. Lion is updated on a daily basis, so it isn't old OS libraries that's causing the problem. Any suggestions?

try this..(i assume you have installed this under applications and no other google products installed)
remove google chrome.app
remove <username>/library/google
remove <username>/library/application support/google
remove /library/google
after that reboot and try to reinstall google chrome

Delete button doesn't work in tabular form after upgrade from APEX3.2 to 4

I just upgraded the APEX from 3.2 to 4.0. However, my application is not working anymore.
First of all, my delete button in tabular form is not working. When I select a row and click the delete button, the row is not deleted, however the message showed 1 row is deleted.
Could you anybody tell me how can I debug this problem?

I had the same problem. I first tried the solution above, but that didn't work. I also had a derived column for a custom popup and some display only columns. I removed the derived column and took out the display columns from my query. I then made sure my column order matched the source query. I applied changes and the delete button worked. FYI. I found out by some testing that it was actually trying to delete from the table, but with the wrong id. My first editable field was qty so if the qty was equal to 2 it then tried to delete from the table where pk=2(I had to restore that record). I believe it is related to the bug above. Backup your app first. I always do before I mess with the tabular forms.

My iPhone is very unstable after upgrade to iOS4 and one major failure is that iPod music doesn't work properly, some song (recently purchased from iTunes) cannot be played even if it is in the list. There are a lot of new space in memory after upgrade, seems songs are removed or compressed in some stupid way.
Spotify is also working like **** after upgrade to iOS4. Also big problems with the phone being slow and hanging in many different kind of modes.
From being a real iPhone fan, I am very disappointed. Maybe Apple think they are immortal now and think they can release any kind of crap and still keep their customers...

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
