Ipod earased music but itunes shows that it's still on the ipod
I synced my ipod just two days and listened to it yesterday. I downloaded a song on iTunes and when I went to sync it, my iPod was wiped clean but when I hook it up to iTunes, iTunes shows that al the songs are still on there, to include the new song. I didn't accidentally, or deliberately, erase or delete anything. Please advise.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsyncdelete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Hi,
When you receive your new MacPro, haven't you copied your iTunes library on it and all your other files? An iPod is sync with your computer's iTunes library; i.e. it take what you added/remove from your computer library. If your library in no longer there, your iPod will do nothing.
An iPod isn't a backup device to restore your computer's iTunes library. Extracting songs from it isn't legal to avoid people freely copying iPod content; it is considered that if you bought the music, you will have it in your iTunes library.
If you do own the music, there are third-party apps that could help you extract your iPods content however, this could not be discussed here. At this point, you can either search for this on Google or rip your CD again. -
My daughters ipod is disabled and says 'connect to iTunes' but when we connect to iTunes it says ' cannot connect to the ipod because it is locked with a passcode ' but we can't unlock it because it is disabled, how do we fix this???
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Can you find the audio book by using the Search feature on the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync the audio book to the iPod?

Note you have to check the boxes in Books pane for the iPod in iTunes to sync books in general and another box to sync Audio Books. -

ITunes shows a 13019 error when syncing the iPod touch.
Been using my itouch with no problems for 2 months or so but now when i try to sync it goes through fine until the last minute when error 13019 comes up. Doesnt delete anything but doesnt add the new content (all music)

due to the virus attack i had to format my windows laptop...now when i installed new itunes software i had to sync my ipod touch again but it says that if i do it then the data present on my ipod touch will be erased as it is syncd to some older library... how should i protect my ipod touch data?
With all you media (apps, music) in the iTunes library connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup. Do that by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up. Then restore the iPod from that backup.
Note the the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music. -

I bought this laptop over 2 years ago (October of 2008 to be somewhat exact). It's a Windows Vista Home Premium, with service pack 2.

Each time i play the video game, "World of warcraft", my laptop's screen goes completely black but it shows as if though it is still on. I can't see the screen but it shows that it is still on by the little lights on the bottom of the screen.
I took my laptop to a family friend who knows a lot about computers to see if they can fix it for me. They told me that everything was running fine, everything is okay, the ram, memory, graphic card, everything passed the test, and it was not over heating... there was nothing wrong with my laptop. They THOUGHT it could be the motherboard, so they tried it, but in the end, it wasn't. Unfortunately the problem was not solved.
I played World of warcraft on this laptop before. When i first bought it. It ran smoothly and gave me no problem whatsoever. I'm clueless is to though why it's giving me problems NOW.
Could anyone please please pleaseeeee help me? i have given up already. I have done everything i could. Please help me! i believe i have done a total one 1 or 2 system restore to factory settings, the 2nd one was recently (probably a month ago) and i'm not sure if maybe perhaps i needed to DL something else? i have DL all the updates that microsoft offered to me when needed and when it was necessary, but this particularly problem was never fixed.

I think i may have found MY solution but i have yet to test it out... No one helped me. No one at all. I took my PC to a family friend company and they did everything for me: ran tests to see if my laptop is up to date with everything, removed graphic card and put a better one and nothing still. They thought it was my mother board but they ran tests again and everything on my laptop past the test. My graphic card was fine, ram was perfect, memory was perfect, everything everything on my laptop was perfect. They couldn't find out what was the problem. I took it to best buy and not even them could help me. When i was about to give up, my fiance, he did some research and found this guy on youtube who does LIVE recordings and answers people's questions. My fiance asked the question and he got serveral responses. Out of 10, i would say about 2 or 3 of them mentioned, "it's the power cord" the rest said it might be virus, or a card is not working properly, etc. You can give it a shot (buying a new power cord) those who told my fiance that it could be my power cord, said to get those power cord that has a fan in them.
I think this makes sense because my screen goes black only when i'm playing a game. even when i play cityville on facebook it goes that black screen, but it doesn't go black, it does that pixelated, rainbow, warning bar, thingy (i hope you know what i mean lol) and when i touch my power cord to my laptop it is BURNING hot. What i do is, when my battery is fully charge, i disconnect and play my game, and to not lose any docs i left open, i close my games, and plug back in. I've been lazy to find another power cord lol i guess i should start now, huh? lol
i hope this help. I would say (if you've done everything like how i did) buy a power cord that matches your laptop, but with a FAN in it (i was told it's the best and you'll never have that problem of freezing or whatever) -

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I don't have a large library of music on my iPhone 4s since I've only had it since Oct 2012, but since the update to iTunes 11 in early December, my album artwork has been all messed up. Everytime I would try to add new music, it would assign the wrong album artwork to anything new coming in. And in addition to that, it would also mess up album artwork of music already on my phone. Everything looked correct in iTunes, but on my phone, not so much. After trying to unsynch, then synching again, my frustration level was at an all-time high. This problem seems to be everywhere online, but no concrete solution for everyone.
I finally came across your simple solution (at least for me because of my small inventory of music) of just deleting all the music through the settings, and then re-synching to add back my music. Now all of the album artwork is correct again. I'm almost afraid to add new music for fear the artwork will get mixed up all over again! I still think my issue is somehow connected to the iTunes 11 update because up until then I had no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thanks for an easy solution that worked for me. -
I downloaded videos previously purchased for my ipod touch from my itunes account into my ipad 3. The music plays but not the video, only shows a picture from the video. How can I make play the actual video
Then look in the videos app. That is where music videos will play.

iTunes shows that there are no songs on my iphone but there are 274 songs there. The data storage shows up as "other" on iTunes. I just want to clear the music on my phone but I can't seem to do so. Is there any way to do this? You used to be able to swipe and delete a song straight from your phone but I can't seem to do that anymore.

IPod touch full but wont show music or videos
I just downloaded itunes 10 and threw a bunch of movies onto my ipod. I went to go watch them today at work and it says there is no video and no music on my ipod. but when i look at General>About> there are no songs no videos but there is only 178 mb avail on a 16gb ipod. so the Ipod is full but nothing is showing up. any ideas?
Here's what I've noticed with my 2nd generations iPod Touch since upgrading to iOS 4.
I'll download some new content, a couple of podcasts let's say. iTunes shows that I have nine (9) unplayed podcasts. I'll manually tell iTunes to sync the changes to my iPod but when that process completes, I'll notice that the iPod only shows eight (8) podcast present on the device. So I manually tell iTunes to sync again, this time the missing podcast gets transferred to the device and now iTunes and the iPod Touch both show that they have nine (9) podcasts.
But there's a problem. Before manually sync'ing the first time, iTunes says that there is .19 GB of "Other" content on my iPod Touch. After manually sync'ing the second time however, that number grows to .29 GB.
So here's what I think is happening. The podcast that didn't sync the first time gets trapped on the device as "other" content because its transfer during the first sync process fails. Now that space isn't recovered on the iPod Touch device unless you "restore" your device. Not good! I think a bug needs a killing. -

Have checked device sync settings and it is entire music library and their is plenty of space on ipod to accommodate - have restarted both itunes and the computer and disconnected and reconnected ipod to no avail.

I did not realize that transferring files to a new computer was not enough. When the iPod synced I was told I needed to "authorize" my new computer to get my iTunes purchases to sync to the iPod. So after the initial sync, I ejected and disconnected the iPod, went into the iTunes store, set up "home sharing" and then authorized the new computer. When that was done I reconnected the iPod and was able to sync all my books and music. The only thing I couldn't do was rename the iPod as iTunes never asked me to. Is there a way to rename it after it has been set by iTunes as "owner's iPod"?
