IPod earbuds don't work

Before I bought my iPad, I called Apple and checked to see if my iPod earbuds would work with my iPad. The answer was "yes". Tried it today and no good. It did not mute the speaker and no sound thru the earbuds. Any one else make this mistake.

Just a note if you have the Apple Ipad case.
The case I have stopped the plug from getting pished all the way in.
I just pushed the case a little to the left and the buds went in just fine.

iPod nano's are not waterproof. It's almost certainly dead. Time for a trip to the Apple store to buy a replacement. Try and keep the new one dry!

I just bought A FREAKING NEW iPod Nano 2G, and installed iTunes and stuff on Vista RC2, it all worked well & fine, until now. I tryd to start it, but nothing happend.. *** is this??? When i connect the ipod on my windows xp pc, it also don't works, nothing....

The information is too vague. How did it stop working, when did it stop working. Does it turn on? Do you get a blank white screen? Does it not turn on?
Did you accidentally slide the HOLD switch on the top of the Ipod to ON? hehe.

Forzen Ipod, resets don't work

So I clicked a song last night and my ipod forze. I did the reset and it went to that little gray apple and froze there. It has been there since. Resets don't work. Connecting it to the computer won't work, I can't do anything. Now when I reset it, it comes up with a sad ipod, an exclamation point and the address www.apple.com/support/ipod, and I can't figure out where to begin to find info there. What is going on and what can I do to fix it?

If that works, connect it to the computer. If you can get iTunes to recognize it, you should probably do a Restore (in iTunes) to erase the iPod and initialize the iPod's software. Then, resync the iPod to your iTunes library.

Ipod nano 5g and nike + ipod watchremote don't work

Hello! My nike + watchremote seems not to be working with my new ipod nano 5g. I tried rebooting the ipod (with and without the nike+ receiver plugged in). I also replaced the watchremote battery. I don't know what to do.Needless to say that I know how to sync it properly. The question is that the ipod doesn't recognize the watchremote while I'm on the "push any button to sync" phase. Any suggestions? thank you very much

Earbuds don't work

I can see music playing on my ipod nano, but I can't hear the music through my earbuds. They were working yesterday. I tried another set of earbuds and they didn't work either. Has anyone experienced this?
I checked the volume and it was high.

My brand new earbuds don't work. No music will play.

Just received my brand new Ipod Nano. Charged it, Added an album from Itunes. Can't get it to produce sound. It looks like it is playing, but no sound. Tried another pair of earbuds. Same thing. Am I doing something wrong? Defective product? Please help this non-techno person who doesn't have a teenager around to help. Thanks.

Also, if your iPod is a new device, not used or refurbished. You have a 1 year hardware warranty and 90 days of technical phone support. As long as there is no accidental damage to the device it can be replaced without a fee.
You have generally 2 options for mail in replacement, depending on your area. If you have an Apple Store in your area, you can schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar and they can take a look at it. Here are some helpful links and information to assist with this process.

My ipod buttons don't work

Also my ipod volume jumps to as loud as it can go and sometimes refuses to turn down ,but my up volume and power/hold buttons no longer work ;if by some miracle i can turn it off it automatically dies and won't turn back on , is there anything i can do for this? i got my itouch in december, is it covered by any sort of automatic warranty?

Have you tried resetting your iPod? To do this, turn the Hold switch on, then off and press-and-hold the Menu and Select (centre) buttons for ten seconds. The Apple logo will appear and then the iPod will return to the main screen.
If this does not fix the problem, try resetting a couple more times and if that doesn't work, try a Restore. Be aware though, that Restore will remove all the content from your iPod, so if you have deleted songs etc. from iTunes, you will lose them.

So have 5s for 4months. Have tried my earbuds twice now. First time sound there off and on. Second time on for about 3seconds then nothing. Moving the pin or taking it out then in again,nothing. Bad ear buds in the package with my phone? Please help. The audio on the phone does work. B

Have you tried any other headphones? If other headphones work it's probably defective earbuds which are covered by the phones 1 year limited warranty. If other headphones do not work, then either your headphone jack is bad (also covered by warranty) or your settings need to be adjusted.

a friend used my pc and delete a lot of programs that i didn't use no more
and during this operation i disinstalled the program of the i pod.
i collegate the ipod to the pc but the pc was without his program, so the pc didn't recognize the ipod.
i re.installed the program of the ipod
but if now i try to collegate the ipod to the pc,
the pc still don't recognize it:(

warranty. first of all i did not break them myself this has happened to the last 2 ipods that i own. is it possible to get replacement earphones, if so how do i get them and who do i contact.

Where what is? The Apple store? There's many. There's also a list on the homepage of all the Apple stores worldwide. You can also send them in to Apple. They hand them out like candy. Just send in your old ones, or go to any local Apple store, show them your headphones, explain your problem, and you're guaranteed new headphones.

Please help. These are the only pair of headphones I have left. A few days ago. I tried then and they worked on both sides.

Try out the Acoustic-speaker/microphone/receiver of the iPhone hardware troubleshooting article below. If you have warranty on your iPhone and these are the headphones that came with your iPhone, there would be coverage for it as long as they are not damaged.

Click wheel and buttons don't work on 5th gen.

I have had my iPod for about half a year and for some reason my iPod buttons don't work. If I move the hold button it turns on but none of the other buttons work. It charges and everything. Does anyone know what to do?

There isn't any problem with your ipod, theres just a different way of going about when you put video games on your ipod. First, plug in your ipod. when your ipod icon appears on the left side where it usually does, click on it. Look at the top on the ipod screen that appears. The screen should give u info about your ipod. At the top look for an icon that says games. Pictures and a few other things are there but click on games. Once that screen appears click on the check mark that say sync games. After that it is pretty self explanatory. GoodLuck

My earbuds volume control don't work with my iphone, but it does on my ipod?

I've done everything from blowing in the headphone jack to cleaning it with an q-tip and restoring the iphone. i know my ear buds work since the volume up and down and the play and pause controlls all work with my ipod touch but when i try using it with my iphone the controls still don't work. i'm about to go over to apple and get this replaced. the iphone is pretty much new too. i might've gotten some water inside it when i was putting on my screen protector but it wasnt that much.

Count me in. I have the "Backup ccould not be completed" error since november.
Yesterday it worked once right after I restored my iPad while iTunes transfered all the data back to my iPad. So it is definitely not a problem on the iCloud side but on the iPad's Apps side.
My guess is that it might be just one app's data which blocks iOS from backing up correctly...
Any ideas?
