I have downloaded the pac man but can't seem to get it on to my ipod video. Everytime I drag it to the ipod it gives me the circle with a slash. Can anyone help?

Are the games still on your old computer? Do you still have access to this? Are you using iTunes version 8 or 9?
Have a look at this article which tells you how iTunes media is organized for both iTunes 8 and iTunes 9. It's just a matter of copying the relevant folder from one computer to another.
You can use you iPod as an external disc to do this.

Cant get ipod game to work on ipod

can't get click wheel ipod game to work on my ipod. all the instructions say is to sync it to my ipod but i'm pressing syncc and the game is not syncing and the games tab is not showing, and i cant drag and drop the games. the games are : Pirates of the carribean, agiers fire, and spore origins both say that they can be played on ipod nano 4th generation, which I have, please help it,s a waste of $16.00, HELP!!

I already fixed the issue, it seems trhat in dreamweaver the fonts ttf , otf, etc must be in a folder named webfonts, and then dreamweaver connects the fonts stylesheet to the main stylesheeet with @inport.I had to unisntall the fonts from my windows and download them again and add tehm with dreamweaver add web fonts feature.

Can I re-download iPod Games that I've purchased?

I bought all the games that were available when they first came out, transferred them to my iPod (5th Generation) using iTunes for Windows, and everything was peachy.
Until I deleted my old Windows XP partition and decided to go with Windows Vista full-time. One day I get a message saying that my Games are no longer authorized to work on this computer, and they all disappear. They were erased from my iPod the next time I synced, too. Huh? I paid for those games (and a pretty penny, too)! Why are they suddenly gone!?
More importantly, how can I get them BACK? They aren't in my "iPod Games" list, nor are they in the "Purchased" playlist, but they do show up in my Purchase History when I look at my iTunes account info. Please help!!

Sorry but I can't reconstruct just what happened to your iPod games. It strikes me odd that they would disappear like that.
Have you searched your computer to see if there's any sign of the .ipg files?

If you don't find the game files on your computer, Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases - songs, videos, games or what have you - can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups . (For most people, this will involve either CD's/DVD's or an external drive .)
That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form on this page:

"iPod Games Library" file in Finder - technical aspects?

Hi all,
After finally figuring out the workaround to purchasing games (Buy with 1-Click), I grabbed a couple tonight.
While adding the actual *.ipg files to my backup drive, I noticed that there is now a "iPod Games Library" file resident in the iTunes folder.
Does this file automatically get created upon adding a game to the Library?
Furthermore, if both the individual game files (.ipg) and this file are deleted, will iTunes recreate this?
No major trauma... just a thirst for knowledge.

I have been experiencing exactly the same problem. I have an extensive library and its getting tremendously frustrating.
I was wondering whether it was linked to the following:
I purchased one of the games - Texas Holdem' when I still owned a PC. I later upgraded to an Intel iMac. I transfered everything to the iMac and everything worked blissfully! A few months later I purchased Sudoku from the itunes store using the imac.
Everything worked just fine until recently when i now get the same message as Sue. Is it possible that the file purchased, downloaded and installed using a PC has somehow corrupted the files? Is there a fix?

The "games" heading only appears when you download a game from the itunes store.

I have a 2nd gen iPod touch. Is it possible & how can or do I delete applications such as Nike + iPod, Game Center, Maps, Calculator, & other similar applications that I absolutely do not want or that I have major issues & prioblems using?

All the other apps can not be deleted but if you want to get rid of the icons go to setting>general>ristrictions>and disable the stuff that you want.

ITunes doesn't want to copy my iPod games

I have a 160GB Classic iPod and I bought some time ago two games, Sims Bowling and Sims Pool. Since then I think I changed my apple account email and changed from one pc to another.
It's been a long time since I synced the iPod and now I have Windows 7. I copied all folders and files from XP to win7 and everything was working fine with my music library.
Today I wanted to sync to the iPod a new album I just added to the library and got one message saying that this computer was not authorized to play downloaded music and I updated the email and the password and worked OK. But I got another message saying that the iPod games were not copied to the iPod because I am not authorized to do that. In fact the games were not copied.
How can I fix this problem? I did buy these games.

Here's what I did.
I have the old XP partition as a dual boot with win7. I started the PC in XP and copied the itunes folder back to the XP partition from win7 (I deleted all user files from the XP partiion), then authorized again that "computer" and synced the iPod. The games were copied.
That is a workaround, not a solution. I need to sync the ipod fully in my win7 partition.
How can I do that?

Where do I find ipod games in the itunes store? It's for a 3rd gen ipod nano.

I go to the apps section in the itunes store and the only games are for ipad and iphone. The iphone apps say they'll work on ipod touch, but nothing about ipod nano. I've found a bunch of FAQ stuff saying ipod games work on 3rd, 4rth, 5th gen nano and classic, but I can't find where ipod games are. I did a search for "click wheel games" and it said that option is not available in itunes US. I just gave my old 3rd gen nano to my niece and she's dying to get games on it, but I can't find them. Some one save me!
I synced the ipod to her parents account and checked for updated software, it said the OS was version 1.1.7 or something like that, and that that was the most current version.

Apple no longer sells games for any iPods except the touch. Sorry, but unless you already had them downloaded to your iTunes account, you can't get them now.

Why are my iPod Games are missing?

I recently noticed that my iPod games were missing from my computer I searched my computer for the files and I couldn't find them anywhere. I was just wondering if anyone knew what happened and how I could fix it without paying another $25.

My ipod games were completely missing from my itunes library after I upgraded to v7.7.
The actual files (phase.ipg, scrablle.ipg, etc) were in a folder on my C: drive named iPod Games. I had to drag them back into my library and guess what, all my game stats got erased, of course. If the library had just lost its place to them (with the ! can't find file) I could have browsed to the folder and restored the links, but that wasn't an option.
Please report this bug to Apple! I did.

Click wheel ipod games

I just bought a new ipod classic to replace my old ipod 5g but I can't copy my ipod games. What do I need to do to play them in my new classic? My mac is authorized to my account and while the games are in the iTunes library it won't copy them when I drag them and I can't re-download them as they are no longer available in the iTunes store.

On Windows XP, yes I have to reset the driver after playing old games (pre-5G). I found no easier solution, I spent hours trying to find one Saturday.
Maybe the problem do not exist on Vista (I have Vista-64 Home Premium). The Nano 5G is recognized by Vista. I can use it as a Flash Disk (even with the problem XP also recognize the iPod, just not in iTunes). I have not installed iTunes on Vista-64 so I cannot say.
I prefer using my XP machine which is a netbook that I carry with me all the time.
If other peoples are getting the same error I would like to know if they are getting it after playing an old game or for some other reasons.
Currently I am not buying more games and will limit the use of the games that is causing me the problem. My iPod is mainly for music, FM radio and movies/TV shows. I am a gamer, so been able to play games was a plus when I decided to buy the 5G.

What happens if you place the iPod into Disk Mode with it still connected to your Mac? Does it then show up in Finder as a mounted drive? Here are instructions for putting your iPod into Disk Mode.

Invalid "iPod Games Library" creates damaged iTunes library

About once every other week when I fire up iTunes, I get this message:
The file "iPod Games Library" does not appear to be a valid iTunes library file. iTunes has created a new iTunes library and renamed this file to "iTunes Library (Damaged)".
All my media files are still on my hard drive, but I have to start from scratch with my library and all of my playlists. And with 160GB of files and dozens of playlists to rebuild, it's no small task.
Is there a way to resurrect my old library once it has been declared "damaged." Or is there some other means of recovering all of those playlists I spend so many hours putting together?
MacBook Pro 15" Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I have encountered the same issue and can't find a stable solution (other than storing 2 - 3 copies of the library file before shutting down).
I have added a new hard drive, imported 27K songs multiple times, exported libraries and still no luck.
I would certainly appreciate any other suggestions to help resolve this.

IPod Games - iTunes won't connect

I've tried bought a couple of the new iPod games from iTunes and I really want to check out the Cubis one, but since day one iTunes has refused to let me connect to it. Every time I click on it in the store I get this message:
"Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy. Check your internet connection or try again later."
All the other games load up properly in the store.
Also: the text in the store under "iTunes Store" (on the left) seems to randomly switch to French on me. So instead of Music it says Musique and Games changes to Jeux iPod.
Where can I contact Apple to inform them of these glitches?

Ipod game preview and the app store

i started browsing itunes, in particular the ipod games. i noticed that there is a "preview" button for some that plays a little QT video of the game play. i'm wondering if there will (in the future since i didn't see an upload option for it currently in itunes connect) be support for this in the app store...

Yeah, a QTime vid would be nice. They can link to our own website if they're worried about the bandwidth.
