Ipod hangs in the middle of sync

I bought a IPOD 30gb and the same is generally recognized by windows and the ITUNES.
However when it is synchronizing the music, when it comes hangs around 1.3 gb, and gives an error -69. Then you can not manually or put songs into it.
Already restore a thousands of times and error continues.
If someone can help ... Thank you

Have you had a look at this troubleshooting page? It may be of some help: iTunes displays a -69 error when syncing iPod

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

  • What to do when my Macbook air won't load from startup. It hangs in the middle during the black apple screen at the beginning

my Mac book air will not start up it hangs in the middle of the status bar when I turn it on and will not move.

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
To restart an unresponsive computer, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the power shuts off, then release, wait a few more seconds, and press it again briefly.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.” The article refers to starting up from a DVD, but the procedure in Recovery mode is the same. You don't need a DVD if you're running OS X 10.7 or later.
    b. If Step 1a fails because of disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to salvage some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external drive with OS X installed, start up from it. Otherwise, if you have Internet access, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external drive and install OS X on it. You'll use the Recovery installer, rather than downloading it from the App Store.
    c. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use the technique in Step 1b, 1c, or 1d to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
    Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 4
If a desktop Mac hangs at a plain gray screen with a movable cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Press and hold the button on the side of an Apple wireless keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you're using a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.
    Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
    Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 11. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
    Step 9
If the startup device is an aftermarket SSD, it may need a firmware update and/or a forced "garbage collection." Instructions for doing this with a Crucial-branded SSD were posted here. Some of those instructions may apply to other brands of SSD, but you should check with the vendor's tech support.
    Step 10
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 11
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 12
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 13
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

  • Itunes 7 will not install; it hangs in the middle of "registering"

I cannot install itunes 7. It hangs in the middle of "registering" and will not proceed any further. Can anyone please help me? I am so frustrated! Thank you very much.

I spent 6 hours last weekend with this installation problem and came up with a process that seems to work - I've posted it a number of times and no one has said it failed for them. Lots of people have said it worked.
First go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and uninstall Quicktime and iTunes.
Next go to the Microsoft web site below and download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Install it, run it, then uninstall Quicktime and iTunes with it, if they appear in the list.
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301
Go to apple.com and download the iTunes setup to your hard drive.
It doesn't hurt to disable or pause your virus scanner before installing, just remember to enable it again when you're done.
Try installing iTunes. You might still have problems installing iTunes because of QuickTime registry key access errors. If that happens, go to the link below, scroll about half way down and CAREFULLY follow the steps to change both Owner and Permissions on the keys that fail.
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=688433&tstart=0
NEVER DELETE REGISTRY KEYS MANUALLY USING REGEDIT!
If this doesn't work, please re-post your problems. The more information we have to work with, the better we can understand the flawed installation process apple uses for iTunes and Quicktime and we can come up with solutions. It seems that the install problems are really with Quicktime rather than iTunes.

  • Ipod freezing in the middle of songs, have to wait until the battery dies.

Help me, my ipod freezes in the middle of songs and i have to wait until the battery goes out until i can do anything with it. And the harddrive has started to click and it sounds like a fan that starts spinning after two clicks. What should i do ?
Pc   Windows XP   Ipod 5th generation

you know what its funny because my ipod just did this last weekend. its been freezing on and off for the last couple of months. I have had it for a year and a half. It would freeze and i would try and do the whole thing where you hold down menu and select and that worked for awhile, but then suddenly last weekend it froze and it started making a weird clicking sound too. i got ****** and just left it at home for the weekend. when i got back home the battery was dead of course and i just plugged it into the charger and it turned on again. im guessing that sometimes you just have to leave it alone. when it made that clicking noise, it wouldnt do anything. you just have to let the battery die and then recharge it.

  • Desktop Manager shuts down without prompt in the middle of sync

    Hello All,

    BB 8830
    Windows XP OS

I have been getting the "DM has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" message each time a connect my device (pearl).  Have tried several of the tips I have harvested from these forums:
    Delete the intelisync folder (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/dynamickc.do?externalId=KB11703&sliceId=SAL_Public&command=show&forwa...)
    FIXPST (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&message.id=...)
    Uninstall and Reinstall DM

  • HP DeskJet D1660 hangs in the middle of a print job?

My HP DeskJet D1660 occasionally hangs in the middle of a print job.  No error message appears but the light in the power button is blinking.  I have tried opening the printer queue and deleting the job.  The queue switches from status "printing" to status "deleting" and hangs with the queue never deleting the print job.
Solutions tried: turning off printer, unplugging printer, unplugging and replugging the USB cable.  None of these clears the queue or restarts the printer.  Restarting the machine also did not unclog the queue initially, however, after a lot of cable unpluging I got it cleared and was able to use the printer again.
Today It stopped in the middle of a print job again this time with an Excel spreadsheet (the first was printing a web page).  After trying some of the same fixes again but before powering down the computer I somehow got the HP Guided Solution up (I"m not sure what I did to trigger it).  Using this help system I managed to get the queue unclogged and the printer up and running following about ten different steps.
Why is this problem starting to reoccur.  Is there a permanent fix or will I have to struggle thru the process of stopping and starting the print spooler every time it happens.

    Hi hp_issed & TXGabe,
I understand that both of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 printers are not able to print correctly and quit in the middle of jobs.
What is the firmware version of the printer? click here to find out how to retrieve it.
Which Windows operating system are you running?
Is the printer connected via USB, ethernet or wireless?
Is the power to the printer connected directly into a wall outlet or a surge protector?
    Thank you,
I worked on behalf of HP.

  • IPod freezing in the middle of a sync!

This happens to me almost every time I connect my 5G Black Video iPod to the computer.
    1. I connect the iPod and iTunes opens and then the iPod shows up. And it starts to update.
    2. After a while it stops on a file. Still saying that its updating. And everything looks OK, except that it doesn't load. If I look at my iPod it is the "do not disconnect" screen but no spinning loading thing in the upper left corner and the red thing doesn't blink. And if I try to lock and unlock the little lock doesn't show up either. I left my iPod like this for a while and all that happens was that it got warm. If I put my ear to the iPod I can hear like latching sounds really loud and it sounds wrong.
    3. If I press stop on the syncing nothing happens. If I eject the iPod iTunes freezes. And if I force quit iTunes the whole computer freezes!
    4. If I pull out the plug from the iPod I get an error saying that I should not disconnect it before ejecting it. But then my computer works fine, but the iPod is still showing the "do not disconnect" sign. And it is not blinking.
    5. If I reset the iPod everything works fine, except that since I pulled the plug on it, none of the music/video have been transfered so it is useless.
    6. If I try to connect it again, it goes back to stage 1.
This never happened on my old computer (PowerBook G4) but since I got this new iMac with Intel it happens all the time. I have read somewhere that it is iTunes and the new iPod software that is the problem but how do I fix it?
    Any help will be appreciated.

I'm having pretty much the same problem...
After not using my ipod over night and then plug it into my computer (macbook pro core duo) the "Do Not Disconnect" logo pops up, and then immediately freezes.. Only unplugging it then resetting it (push and hold the menu and select buttons) does it start to work again. Afterwards it will sync and connect fine with me computer.
I have tried completely reseting the ipod and reinstalling its software via itunes, and it did not help.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • 8330 Disconnecting in the middle of sync from Desktop Manager, but still connected to computer

I am new user.  I love my Blackberry 8330.
However, yesterday I ran into a problem where the 8330 consistently disconnects in the middle of operations with the Desktop Manager.  It often does not occur in one place.  I have received multiple types of errors: Connector Specific Error, 0X80040fb3, Unable to Complete Synchronization, etc.  The spontaneous disconnections are not limited to calendar, tasks, or address book - it has happened during all of these and sometimes before it has even begun to sync.  I have pulled the battery once.  It synched fine after that just to have the same issues the next day.
This happens in the middle of other operations using the Desktop Manager as well.  Like backing up the files.  It will disconnect in the middle of backing up one of the files, or will only stay connected long enough to backup one file.
Throughout this, the computer recognizes the blackberry as being connected and the blackberry continues to display the "Connecting to Computer" screen.
The Start Menu and Taskbar will often hang or disappear after the Desktop Manager ceases to recognize the Blackberry and while the Blackberry is still connected.  Once the Blackberry is disconnected, the start menu and taskbar is released from hanging or reappears.
    Windows XP
    Office 2007
Facebook, IheartRadio, Pandora, Slacker, Google Maps, and a few other apps installed, Google Search, My Verizon
Also experience some spontaneous restarts but I think that has more to do with the apps than anything else.  Some JVM 102 errors upon restarts.
Feel free to ask me questions.  Love the Blackberry but frustrated.  Have tried other things looking through the forum, but none have solved the problem.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    JVM 102
this is your primary issue, resolve it first, will most likely resolve everything else
hopefully you have atleast 1 good backup to restore after

    ::iPod Skips Music::
Is the iPod skipping all purchased music from the iTMS? If not, skip down to Part 2. If so, follow these directions:
Do you have the most recent version of iTunes? If not, download it from here:

Still having trouble? Follow these steps suggested by top forum member, Jeff Bryan:
    1.) Deauthorize the computer.
2.) Create a new user in the system.
3.) Download the free song of the week from the iTMS in the new user account. Play the song to authorize it.
4.) Restore the iPod in the new user account.
5.) Sync the free song to your iPod and determine if it plays on the iPod.
If the song plays, you have a corrupted iTunes Library file. You'll need to recreate your iTunes library file in your normal user account:

If you are only having trouble with a small number of song files from the iTMS or songs you've ripped from a CD, follow these directions:
    iPod skipping songs?
First off, make sure you have the most recent version of iTunes, iPod Software, and Quicktime.
For those of you who get zero playtime from songs (i.e. it doesn't even start the song before starting the next one) try this:
    Resetting the iPod
and if that does not work, this:
    Restoring the iPod
For those of you whose songs are skipping after getting partway through the song, two questions.
Did you rip these songs from CD's you own? If so, try reripping the affected songs.
Are the songs that are skipping iTMS store files? If so, we'd like to know the following, because there may be a problem with the song file:
1.) Song Name, Album, and Artist
2.) iPod Model (Identifying the iPod Model)
3.) iPod firmware (this can be found under Settings>About>Version)

  • ITunes "drops" recognition of iPod Touch in the middle of restore

Hi. I have been attempting to restore my iPod on my PC (Dell Inspiron 6000 running Windows XP). It had issues in the middle of an iOS software update and went into restore mode. I plug in my iPod and it displays the connect to iTunes screen. iTunes recognizes it as "iPod" and a message pops up that says I need to restore my iPod. I click "restore" and it says it is "Extracting Software". At some point in the middle of this step, iTunes stops recognizing my iPod. It contines with the "extracting software" step, but at the end of this step it gives me an error message saying "The iPod 'iPod' could not be restored. The device cannot be found". When I click "OK", it immediately recognizes my iPod again and goes back to the initial restore screen. I have followed all steps in support pages including updatinge iTunes to latest version, checking my usb cable, restarting the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, updating the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and finally uninstalling iTunes and all its related components and reinstalling. I have also tried disconnecting and reconnecting the ipod during the "Extracting Software" step to see if iTunes will re-recognize it. Please let me know whether you have any insight into my issues. Thanks!

Did you also check your security software settings? iTunes has to be able to contact Apple during the process:
