IPOD has bars for internet but cant go onilne PLEASE HELP!!
hello i have a problem my ipod it is connected to the internet but it does not let me go onine. I am able to go online at hotspots and ather places but not at home .I have been trying to get it to work by going to a place were i can reset my network settings on the ipod but it no help me get online . Could it be my router i don't think it is because i have had my ipod online before this had happened ofor about 4 months the ipod you could say is new because i got the item for christmas can you help me at all. I HAV DOES Everything like froggeting the netword and reseting my router and turing it off and the ipod for 10 mins but it still does not work. PS i hav restored it too see if it as a applaction and i hav loads of space on my ipod.
That happened to me, if you are with bt,the connection for wifi is down in some certain areas due to a technical fault. I came back online yesturday. Im afraid (IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM) you will have to wait.

Once I've download the 5.0, Youtube has a prewatch setting I cant change! Please help.

The main issue is I do not want to have this set where I am reviewing videos whenever my mouse is over a video icon. I have searched on youtube everywhere and their is no solution to this problem only firefox can fix this. Their was no problem with my 4.9 version.."I believe thats the version I used."I tried the above, and it didn't work, but I did, however find that I went to tools, and someone installed something called ,"Tweektube" Which downloads the videos, and I went to its settings at the tool bar, and un-checked everything, restarted youtube, and the videos started playing automatically, and the pre-watch bar was gone. Hello, My 60gb ipod worked fine til I wanted to switch computers to transfer legal downloads. When I was doing it they told me to update my ipod software and I did it clearly said restoring would erase everything I know I clicked uppdate. Now all my songs disapeared and I tried reloading it from original computer and it tells me it can not read my ipod, please update. I did that and it still doesn't work. Thanks for helping. I work in the music biz and I will gladly send you some cd's for helping!
download the ipod updater software, and instead of clicking "update" there is a button that says "restore" its a lot quicker than the windows xp formatting.

Go to Settings>Brightness and make sure it is maxed out.
Try:

It sounds like a poor data connection. I get the same thing when I try to use AT&T here in my house. It shows 4G and 3 bars but I get little to no data at all. If that is what is happening to you, you can try another carrier if there is one.
Here, I can get LTE at my house and about 10-15Mbps on T-Mobile. Switching carriers can make the difference. -
Ipod has been detected. But WON"T work!
Every time I plug in my ipod nano 3rd genaration, It says:
An ipod has been detected. But could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect ipod and try again.
I've tried this over, over, and over again. This never seems to work.

If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.

I purchased songs from 2 different computers using itunes with the same apple id. I had 1 iPod I used for these but I just recently got an iPhone and I was wondering why it wasn't letting me put my purchased songs on my iPhone?
You can transfer iTunes content from an iTunes library on a single computer only.
Since these songs were purchased with the same iTunes account, you can download the song that is not in your iTunes library on the computer you will be syncing your iPhone with. Or you can download the song or songs direct on your iPhone.

i have the ipod touch 4th generation and the screen is white, i was going to charge it and it turned white. I have tried to reset it but the apple logo will not show up and it will not turn on! i just got it for christmas... can you please help?
The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos.
