Installing Itunes from CD, Ipod has been formatting for 36 hours?

Recieved Ipod as gift pre loaded, am installing Itunes from CD recieved in box. Was asked to format ipod, clicked format button, message appears 'waiting for ipod' progress bar is active and hard drive light is flashing. Have now been waiting 36 hours. Is this normal? The ipod says do not disconnect, I am anxious not to lose my pre loaded music.

Im not sure how you get an iPod pre loaded with music, unless the person who gave to to you has a gift preloaded it, but when you formatted/restored the iPod that wiped the iPOd clean. its not normal to be waiting that long. more on restoring can be found here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60983
It depends on what type of iPod this is but if its a current one like a nano or 5G (Video) iPOd, it will have to be connected to your PC using a USB 2,0 port or a "High Speed" usb port (USB 2.0 has afew different names may be slightly different name in the UK compared to here in the US where I am).
You will have to manually eject the iPod using the "Safly remove" feature in windows with iTunes closed if its open. this shows up as a lil icon with a green arrow in the bottom right corner of windows.
After that you will disable any antivirus programs that may be interfering with the iPod and iTunes during its first setup on your PC. Download the latest iPod updater here install it and then run it with the iPod connected to restore the iPod and update the software on it http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

IPod has unknown format, cannot be read

i have an interesting dilemma here. my 20g ipod photo has suddenly and unexpectedly stopped working with both my macbook and my pc. my ipod is not read in my macbook, however when i check devices in my pc, my ipod is shown. unfortunately, my ipod is not read in itunes and therefore it is extremely hard to do anything. the main problem here is that my ipod is read as "disk drive" in windows under device manager, not as "apple generic device" like all my other ipods. also, when i go to the about section in my ipod, it tells me that 0kb are available of 0kb, and when i do disk checks and scans of my ipod, i get an error telling me that the device could not be read. i have literally tried everything under the sun to fix my ipod, including reinstalling the device driver and updating it, all with no prevail. its interesting that my ipod works normally when i turn it on, but theres nothing on it and i cant seem to get my ipod to connect properly with my computers to put music on it.
so what i would like is to have an expert help me with this.

Excel 2013 Save as HTML Has Wrong Formatting

I have an Excel file with 6 worksheets and some simple styling of the fonts. I use "Save As" html type, and select Entire Workbook. When I view the html page on my local machine (Windows 7 64bit, IE 11), it all looks fine.
When I copy the files (filename.htm & subdirectory) to our Win2008 Web Server and view in IE11 browser, only the first worksheet looks correct. The other 5 worksheets have wrong font size and strength and some garbled text.
When the Excel file is Saved As html, it creates a sub-folder named same as file name. This directory structure already existed on the server and was working fine with the last version from several months ago.
I have done this many times in the past without problem. The only thing changed is a new desktop computer (Win 7 64 bit - same as old one) with
Office 2013 instead of Office 2010.

Please try to use the following motheds to check the issue:
1. The Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check for any performance issues which are common with the Internet Explorer on the computer and

a. Press “Windows Logo” + “W” keys from the keyboard.
b. Type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar and press “Enter”.

e. Click on “Advanced” and then click on “Run as Administrator”.

Please understand that reset Internet Explorer to its default configuration. This step will also disable any add-ons, plug-ins, or toolbars that are installed.

This cannot be done if Windows doesn't recognize the device. Is there another way to set the device back to the factory settings directly on the device without using ITunes?

Ipod touch is not formatted one way or the other at all.
Just sync it to the new computer using itunes.

Please help me with my ipod. Ive been trying for so long to get it working( More than 4 Months) but with no luck.
The problems started when my friend asked me to plug his ipod into my computer to get my songs because his ipod wouldnt load songs from his computer. Well I tried that and it didnt work. Anyway, the next time I tried to update my ipod(which is an ipod mini 4th Gen, i think)it wouldnt update my songs and came up with numerous messages that said something about a corrupt file run chkdsk. Well I looked up what to do and I did run the chkdsk thingy and it said that it fixed a few files so I no longer get those messages. Despite the slight improvement Im still having problems. When my iPod is plugged into my computer it slows the computer right down until iTunes is automatically opened. The ipod then starts to update, but at an incredibly slow rate. It takes it about one hour to update 50 songs. In addition, the ipod gets super, super hot. Now im no computer genius, but i know the USB port that I use with the iPod is a 2.0 thingy so thats not the problem. I have also tried resetting the ipod by pressing the "menu" and "select" buttons on the ipod, as well as restoring it using the ipod updater. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing itunes with no luck and even went back to itunes version 4.0. My ipod has the latest ipod software on it so thats not the problem either. There is one thing I have noticed about my ipod that is rater unusual: the circle (located in the top left-hand corner of the screen) with the arrows on it that rotates when updating keeps flashing on and off in non-regular intervals when updating. Sometimes that little icon wont even appear and its when that icon doesnt appear that the ipod doesnt get recognized by itunes and the computer sees it as a portable storage device and not an ipod.
I know thats alot of infomation to swallow but does anyone have any ideas what the **** is going on???
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could try to format the iPod in Windows. It does the same thing as restoring and you would need to restore the iPod as normal (using the iPod updater) afterward. This can work when the iPod is recognized by the computer, but not by the updater.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". When that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
You can also check the iPod's hard drive for errors using Windows ScanDisk.
Put the iPod into disk mode as previously mentioned. Go to "my computer" and right click on the iPod then select "properties", then "tools". Select the option to scan the disk for any errors.
To exit forced disk mode, reset the iPod.
If that doesn't work, then the iPod needs repair. (to be honest, I think it does)

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Smartform form {T_HEADER} has wrong page format

I have a header window that contains a table for column headings just above my main window. Somehow in the process of inserting a column and adjusting the size, I caused the following error to continue each time I attempt to print preview the form:
Form T_HEADER has wrong page format.
I have reviewed the details of the table to verify the width and the total of the line type column widths match. The header window that contains the table also has the same width. I am confused as to why I continue to get this error, but it is keeping me from testing any other changes to the form. I am stuck here.
P.S. I searched this forum for "form has wrong page format" and found one similar post that did not answer my issue.

the easiest thing is that you download your form and upload it here, so I got a chance to import it and have a look at exact the same dataset as you do. OF course, delete all the stuff you don't want to share and is unnecessary to fix this issue.
You can try one thing before, delete the table and create a new one with the same formats. Sometimes the compiler interpret it wrong because... I don't know why, but I realized that just delete helped

No changes were done to any of the DC's. We are running Window 2008 and 2012 wins and they are replication partners.

No luck. Anything I can look at or do to stop these errors?

By the way, in case you do not have an application that does not support DNS, it might be worth to rely only on DNS resolution in your environment.

My mistake, it was nothing to do with format. It woldn't sync because my movies were HD. HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod. Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions. Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

I bought some music videos and tv shows on itunes. however, it says they are the wrong format for my ipod. i have the 5th generation video so everything should be okay. i also tried reformatting and it said there was an error. it shouldn't even need to be reformatted since i bought it from itunes, right?? HELP!

I think you hit it right on the head I can't seem to get CNN podcasts to run either and I'm sure it has something to do with them not putting them together properly. You would think that a HUGE corporation like that would get it right

My mini iPod has a picture of a folder and an exlamation point next to it,and it won't turn on! Even when I connect my iPod to my computer or an outlet, it still shows the folder and doesn't charge (well, at least it doesn't show that its charging)I don't know what to do because my computer, iTunes and the Updater doesn't show that my iPod is even connected, so I can't restore my iPod because the updater says "Please Connect iPod" when it is already connected...Iv'e tried everything i can do that the iTunes help pages say to try...but it still hasn't fixed anything!!! I'd say that the only thing you can do is send it in for repair. But, are you completly positive that you looked for the answer everywhere: MSN, Yahoo, and Google might help. Also you might want to look for a Hard Disk formatting program. This "A folder with an exclamation point."generally means that your iPod's Hard Disk is formatted in the wrong way or format. Also, try letting the battery drain out and you will loose all the data on your Hard Disk, but that may let you reformat it with the iPod Updater. Don't worry, this does not mean that a phisical error has occured with the iPod, just something wrong with the data.If that dosen't help either, it needs service.

Can't Open Numbers file, wrong format

I have a friend who has created 3 numbers spreadsheets. I can not open them on my mac.
On my Mac with mavericks , I get error can't open file. What does this indicate, they can take the same file and make it an Xcel and I can open.

Update #3 .. I tried to install an old version of numbers. Interesting enough files still error, but they error with the error reported on iCloud.
