***? ipod headphones  no replacement??? hellp

where the heck can i buy replacement ipod headphones exactly like i got when i bought my ipod?

Any particular reason why? From a technical standpoint, they're terrible. Why not use this opportunity to get a decent set instead?
Seems this is the cloest you can get from the Apple store. Not the exact ones, but they are Apple branded; which I assume is the only reason you could've wanted the exact ones you had before:

  • Without a receipt, but with a bank statement, will I be able to get a free replacement on my broken iPod headphones, bought only two months ago?

    Hi,
I bought a new pair of iPod headphones just over two months ago from an HMV store, and in the last few days, one of the headphones has stopped working altogether. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt for the headphones, but I do have the information booklet, the one year warranty statement and a bank statement showing the transaction of when I purchased the headphones. Am I still able to get a refund or replacement for my headphones, as the damage was not my fault, just a technical fault?
    Thanking you in advance,
    Natasha

Yes. Make a trip to your local Apple Store and show them what is going on. Since the headset is still under a year old, they should swap it out for you at no cost. Unless for some reason they deem the issue the result of misuse or abuse, but that doesn't sound like the case here.

  • Question about the new apple ipod headphones

Apple is selling a new set of apple branded earbud headphones on their website, which are supposed to replace the old ipod headphones.
I want to know if the jacks on the new headphones are shaped the same as the jacks on the old headphones.
I have an ipod case that will only accept headphone jacks that are the same shape as the original ipod headphones, and I want to buy new headphones.
So does anyone have the new headphones? Can you tell me if the jack is straight like the old headphones?

The Apple TV 2 can be programmed to turn itself off after 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 5 hours, 10 hours or even never.
Prior to writing this e-mail I tested Airplay from iTunes to the Apple TV*. I played a single song (3 minutes) through Airplay and after 15 minutes of inactivity the Apple TV turned itself off.
*Prior to streaming music or accessing other content you have to turn Apple TV on with the provided bluetooth remote. This is a major inconvenience when your Apple TV is several rooms away. Apple needs to enable wake-on-lan support.

  • Problems with playback through iPod headphones

I've had an issue when I plug in my supplied iPod headphones that the audio playback is muted and the vocals unclear. I checked the headphones on my Mac and when plugged all the way in...same result. Any suggestions short of returning them?
    PowerBook G4, iPhone   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Thanks for responding.
Yes I'm using iTunes to rip the CDs.
I've tried ripping some songs to AAC 256 kbps without VBR, AAC 128 kbps without VBR, MP3 256 kbps with VBR, MP3 256 kbps without VBR and MP3 128 kbps without VBR. Same problem. Songs play fine on computer when played out of iTunes. Put songs on Shuffle and some will play and other will partially play before skipping to the next song.
The same songs ripped to AAC 256 kbps with VBR played just fine on my first generation 1GB Shuffle. On the new 2GB Shuffle they don't. I wasn't worried when the 2GB Shuffle I bought had a problem I thought it was just a case of one bad apple in the bunch (no pun intended). Now that I've gotten the replacement 2GB Shuffle and it has the same problem I'm left wondering if there's not a problem with them in general.

  • IPod headphones aren't working and i have no creditcard for warranty

Hello, I have ipod video which 1 month has warranty, but my iPod headphones aren't working. If I want have them announced by apple must I to my creditcard number motivate, but I have no creditcard. What do I have do?

I don't think there is any alternative to this. Apple introduced this measure some time ago in response (I think) to the number of people who were requesting replacement headphones when there was nothing faulty with the original ones.

  • Very Frustrated: iPod Headphones continue to break

I'm very frustrated because over the past three years I've had to buy three pairs of iPod headphones, and all have experienced the exact same problem after about a year: for some reason, the audio from one earbud (this most recent time it was the right, but I can't remember whether it was the same one the other two times) will become barely audible, so it sounds like the sound is coming from very far away. This leaves me essentially with only one earbud working, which is very frustrating... and it is all the more frustrating because after it happened today it is now the third time it has happened to me, and this set of headphones only lasted about a year.
So, I have a few questions:
    1) Is this a problem anyone else has experienced with their iPod headphones? If so, is it fixable?
    2) Given the amount of times this has happened to me, I'm sort of sick of having to plunk down the money for a new set of headphones every year... is there any Apple refund program or something for things like this that are obviously not working? Are they aware of this problem?
    3) Does anyone know of other, possibly better earbud type headphones? To be honest and fair, I love Apple and all their products, and love their headphones, but if I have to keep investing in a new pair yearly I may want to buy some that last longer.
    4) If no one else has experienced or has heard of this problem, what might I be doing that is causing it? I do take good care of my headphones and don't do anything stupid like put them in water or anything like that.
Thanks for any help... like I said, this is the only problem I've had with any Apple product in a long time, so I'd just like to see what is going on and what I can do about it. Thanks.

If your original iPod headphones broke within the 1 year warranty you should have had them replaced via the warranty. You could have done this by calling AppleCare, using the online repair assistant (you use the serial number of your iPod), or making a Genius Bar appointment at an Apple Store.
Since you did not do this, and the replacement pair you purchased (Apple I assume) are more than a year old, you will have to buy another set. In all the iPods I have ever had (and it is many) I have never used the Apple earbuds but have used a number of different brands. The only set I've ever used was the ones with the 3rd Generation Shuffle, and only until I could get an adaptor and go back to my Ultimate Ears. I've also used Bang & Olufsen earbuds (my sister and brother-in-law still use them) and many people love the Sony's, Vibe and Etymotic. I'd do some research into these and decide which ones look good to you and fit your price range.
To protect your headphones be careful with inserting/removing the plug and do no wrap them around the iPod.

  • IPod headphone jack faulty

Hi! First time on here, just been having problems with my iPod headphone jack.
The trouble is, when I plug headphones in, it misses half the sound as if it's only playing one ear through both, and sometimes it misses all the words and it just sounds plain weird. If I put some headphones in half way it works, but the slightest movement and then it cuts off entirely, and other times I push the earphone right in, and twist it a bit but the same problem occurs.
First up... any ideas for how I could resolve this issue myself? Is it a good idea to try and have it repaired through some sort of third party type fixey places?
If not, which I presume will be the case, is it worth me paying for a single incident of support thing to speak to someone? Does that cover any repair or just the phone call?

    - The telephone support price is for the call only. It does not include repair/replacement.
    - Does the heaphones pwork OK in other devices?
    - Do other headphones work in your iPod?i
    - If it is an iPod problem and your iPod is withn warranty I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
    - Headphones jacks do go bad.  Apple will aoly excahnge yur iPod for a refurbished one for this price:
Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
    - A third-party place like the following is less expensive. Goolge for more.
iPhone Repair, Service & Parts: iPod Touch, iPad, MacBook Pro Screens
    - Replace it yourself:

  • Ipod headphones part of apple care?

are the ipod headphones covered under applecare? i think they should be but what if they don't believe me that these headphones are the same ones that came w/ my ipod?
i'm planning going to the apple store sf right now but i'm hesitant to make the trip if they're just gonna deny me.
i don't want to spend more $$$ on headphones when the ones that came w/ it broke.

  • My Ipad 2 external speakers does not work and headphones has popping sound. This all occured at the same time as my Iphone and Ipod headphones only played mono (no, the "mono" option is not on). How can there be audio issue for all these devices?

My IPad 2 external speaker does not work and the original headphones have popping sound when used. This all occurred at the same time as my IPhone and IPod headphones only plays mono (and no, the "mono" option is not on) with the original headphones, as well as, other headphones tested.  How can there be audio issue for all these devices at the same time?
As you may have noted from the list of Apple devices I own, I believed in the Apple and the products it was producing; but it is hard to believe from my experience and the other voices within the Apple Community that we are all experiencing the same hardware issues. Especially since I recently, I upgraded to an IPhone 4g (no, my faith in IPhone 5 series is very little) and is experiencing the same audio problem as described above. So now, I am off to the Apple store again to be told that it’s a hardware problem on new IPhone. Really? Apple, what happen to the pride in the product you were producing?

Everyone does things a little differently. I love to "jam " along with iTunes ( or old Lp's) . Always have. That's where/how I've learned to play .
I'm sure leonieDF is giving a proper way to jam along on a keyboard with an iTune. He blows my mind all the time with what he knows. Nuff respects to him !
What I do is make a GB project I call "Jam With". I'll make several new tracks that are blank. Just has a few instruments named in the blank tracks. You can change those per song ...
Because I'm not concerned about changing the pitch / key.... of the iTune or the tempo ... I can simply play along with it.
    Peace,
    P. Dreadie

  • I have just bought an iPod Nano to replace my previous one which died, when I open my iTunes it does not show the new iPod, and refuses to allow me to sync my existing library, the new iPod does not show in my computer only on devices, any suggestions ?

Question: I have just bought an iPod Nano to replace my previous one which "died" My computer does not recognize the new iPod and only shows it in devices and printers. I cannot sync my existing iTunes to the new iPod, there is no way I can do it. Any help please?

    Hey there longislandmacca,
It sounds like your iPod is not recognized in either Explorer, or in iTunes on your PC. That can be frustrating, expecially when its a new device. I recommend you use the following article to help resolve that issue named:

  • IPod headphone-jack no longer making connection

The headphone-jack connection is worn-out. I've tried using 3 different headphones with the same male specifications and music was still audible from the iPod and not through any of the headphones. Thus, I am sure that the iPod headphone-jack is malfunctioning. It was purchased about a year ago, but it only has a one year warranty and I no longer have the receipt.
Any suggestions? It would be much appreciated.

The earphones must be pushed very hard into the iPod. So hard, that the white part of the plug must touch the iPod in order for the external speakers to turn off. You will hear a click.
If you do a forum search, you will find this same solution. If it does not work, you will need to take your iPod to an apple store or call the Apple iPod tech support if still under warranty or you have Apple Care.  You may have a hardware problem.

  • I bought a new ipod touch to replace my old one that did not have icloud.  How do I erase my old ipod?

I just purchased a new ipod touch to replace my old ipod touch.  The reason I bought a new one is I wanted one that had the icloud that I could sync to my ipad and iphone.  I am going to give my old one to my husband.  I plugged my new ipod touch into my computer and put my musice library on it.  I then tried to clear my old ipod touch.  I went to General Settings and told it that I wanted to clear the ipod touch.  It went thru a few things and then it said to plug it into itunes.  I do not understand why?  On my itunes it does not list two ipod touch's on there as devices, so I am scared it I plug the new one into itunes it will clear both.  Please help!

    Yeah, what planb77 said.
Just connect your iPod to your computer, let iTunes come up, and then select Restore to Factory Settings.  This will clear off every thing and install the current version of iOS for that generation.  You can name the device and then set up iTunes to synch the items you choose.
If you have more than one computer, let hubby set up his own iTunes account and Apple ID so you don't get your stuff mixed up.

  • I sent my ipod nano for replacement but haven't had confirmation they have received it - how do i contact them?

Ten days ago i sent my ipod Nano for replacement (using the packaging Apple sent to me).  Since then i have checked the progress online and all it shows is that they sent me the packaging, but not that they had received the ipod.  I need to email or phone them, but can't seem to find either one.  Is anyone able to help me?

You can track it on the carriers site - if you have a copy of the tracking label.
Depending on where it is going - if it is going by UPS - it may be held up due to Weather in Tennessee.
Anyway - the tracking will show when it was picked up, dropped off, and where it is sitting.
