IPod Headset with Remote weird gieger counter sound in ear

I just watch Lie to Me on my Macbook and when music with a lot of bass comes on, I get a weird sound a bit like a Geiger counter, is this a problem?

Never mind!
I knew to check for lint stuck in the iPod and I had cleaned it out but figured "screw it" and gave it another try. Turns out I didn't go deep enough and there was still lint stuck in there. Got it all out now and it works perfect!

I get sound on my ipod touch with headphones in but no sound through the built in speaker on my ipod touch. I got it in December so it's a new model.

    Welcome to the discussions,
can you see the speaker icon and the changing of the volume bar if you press your volume buttons?
Try this with the headphones plugged in and then unplug them and see if the volume for the speaker is displayed.
Is your volume limit set to max?
Set a volume limit for music and videos: Choose Music > Volume Limit and drag the slider to adjust the maximum volume

  • Which Stereo Bluetooth headset with remote supports for Iphone3Gs??

please anybody can tell me which is the best Stereo Bluetooth headset with remote support for Iphone3Gs??
    thanks in advance

    Hello thomulusmax,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums
As long as your device is running software version 4.2.2 or higher it supports A2DP. (You can verify this under Options >> About)
Keep in mind that not all Bluetooth headsets are A2DP enabled. As long as your headset supports A2DP and it pairs and connects with your Pearl you should be able to listen to any supported audio format.
    Cheers!

  • Ipod touch with remote buddy.

    Hi All,
was wondering if this was possible .
when you use the remote buddy to open front row do you get front row come up on your ipod ? or does it just open it on your computer ?
and can you use the ipod touch to play the music on, or is it just a case of using it as a remote .
if you are in front row mode can you still pick what speakers you send the music to like you do in iTunes ?
    thanks
    Simon.

  • IPod Volumes with Sound Check on

Out of these two charts (below), i havent decided which one is more accurate yet (which one do you think?), but I'm thinking of sticking to a 60% volume level
    http://www.generationdeaf.com/whysetvolumelimits.html
    http://www.hearinglosshelp.com/weblog/?p=86
But I think it's a bit redundant when you consider that most songs are all at different decibel levels. So I use Sound check to equalise them to one level. However, when you put sound check on (that is, so that all the songs play at the same decibel level), technically that changes everything in that chart as the volume is noticeably lower than when turned off. So what is the decibel level that the iPod changes all the songs to, when Sound Check is turned on? So that I can figure what is a safe volume level while having all songs at the same volume.

    Fixed it.
Quit iTunes.  Make sure it is really not running (not just invisible - I had a script running that stopped iTunes from actually quitting)
Then hold down the Option key and click on iTunes to open it.  It will ask you to "Choose iTunes Llibrary".  Click on "Choose Library...".  Then choose your normal "iTunes Library.itl" file which is in your personal iTunes folder under ...user/Music/iTunes.
This will force iTunes to rebuild its working library info and fixed my weird volume changes.  Now turning on and off Sound Check works as it should.  The song with the 1.1 dB volume setting did not sound different.
    Good luck.

  • Ipod Universal Doc with Remote Issue

    Hi Guys
Wonder if you can help, I have a 80GB black classic iPod and have bought the Uni Doc with Remote - The Remote will only control the sound and nothing else. I have tried re-syncing the remote but with no luck
    Any ideas??

Hmmm, good question. Its at home right now and I'm at work... I want to say that it is a flat receiver. I bought it with the iPod Touch, it came with about 8 different plastic pieces to fit a few different iPods, and it doesn't have the S-video connector in the back... just an audio out, and the same dock connector slot in the back which is hooked up to my component cable. It works with both my iPod Touch and iPhone 3G, it displays tv shows and movies perfectly on my tv, but it won't jump back and forth in my play list. I think I've got 3 or 4 different remotes lying around; I assumed that they were all the same, but is it possible that the remote that came with the dock is different than the remotes that came with the Mac Mini, MacBook, and MacBook Pro?

  • Listening to iPod functions with a bluetooth headset?

I paired a motorola headset with the iPhone and was able to use it to take a call. Is there a way to use it to listen to podcasts and music through the iPod function?
    Thanks!

The iPhone does not support bluetooth stereo, also known as the A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) or even AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Maybe future updates might include bluetooth stereo support.
For more info on A2DP and AVRCP, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A2DP .

You can sync with onee at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.

  • Trouble-shooting no sound through the right side of Apple earphones with remote...

Hope this story of trouble-shooting this problem helps someone in the future.
For some strange reason, when I listened to a podcast using the Music app through the Apple earphones with remote on my iPhone 4, the right side has no sound.  However, when I pull the earphone plug out one notch, I get sound from both sides, but the remote controls no longer work.  At that point, I was sure I had a hardware problem, but where it lay-- earphones or iPhone 4, I didn't know.
    1.  For my first step, I tried the earphones with another iPhone 4, and got the exact same results.  That convinced me that it was a problem with the earphones, but then I tried them on our iPad and they worked fine!
    2.  That ruled out the earphones and got me wondering if both iPhone 4's earphone jacks were flakey or misbehaving.  I had read about the old fuzz in the jack problem, so I used an air blower to clean it out, but it made no difference.  I still figured that maybe both jacks were stressed in some way, although two of them?
    3.  Then I read that some people found different apps worked--and even specifically that running Skype could solve things.  That didn't work.  However, it led me to try various streaming apps (e.g., Portal to the Universe, NPR) and everything was fine-- sound from both sides and remote controls fully functional.
At that point, I was convinced there was something odd going on with the Music app.
    4.  Finally, it occurred to me to try other podcasts-- and even other episodes of the particular podcast.  They all worked fine.
So, it ended up being one particular podcast-- and, while I still do not know why, it means that the earphones, the headphone jack, the iPhones are all in fine shape!  Yay!
In any event, the bottom-line is that it's really smart to consider *all* the variables that could be affecting the situation--especially the most obvious ones that you wouldn't even think about it.  As it turned out, in my case, I had tested the very same podcast on both iPhones, so no wonder I got the very same results!

I think you're right-- however, I always thought that mono recordings played through both ears--always worked that way on my old stereo system!
This podcast does that, too, but only if one pulls the plug out a bit!  That's what's confusing to me.  Why does it change from both ears to only one ear depending on far the plug is pushed in?  (And especially as it behaves opposite what one would expect-- both ears when not plugged in all the way-- only 1 when fully embedded!)

  • Using headset with ipod touch and Skype

Trying to use headset with jack adapter on ipod touch using skype. Audio out is fine but mic doesn't seem to work. Will this work, or will I have to switch to the Apple earbuds with mic?

I have successfully tested Skype using a $20 pair of GE ear buds with microphone. It used the correct iPod Touch earphone/microphone jack.
I've also used this with voice recorder software, and so has my wife.

  • 6682 and bluetooth headset with no sound - Here's ...

    Hello,
I had an 'no sound' issue with a 6682 and a Jabra BT250 bluetooth headset. I've had the phone for 2 months and used the BT250 with it every day.
My problem started when I connected a POP connector and wired headset (not the standard Nokia version). From that point forward, when I connect my bluetooth headset all of the correct icons appear on the phone showing the BT headset is connected and the bluetooth connection is functioning, but the sound does not come out of the headset. It comes out of the handset (like a normal call) instead.
I searched through the forum and found this procedure listed for the N70 and other headsets.
    - Take out the battery
    - Take out your sim
    - Leave it for at least 2 hours
    - Put another SIM into it
    I'm adding these steps
    - Turn on the phone
    - If prompted, enter the correct time and date
    - Pair the headset with the phone
    - The headset should now work correctly
    - Power down the phone and replace the borrowed SIM card with your own.
    - Pair the headset with the phone.
    - The bluetooth headset should now work correctly.
This procedure correected my problem. A thorough cleaning of the connector contacts did not help.
I hope this helps someone else.

Did you ever figure out how to use the headset? I am having the same problem
