Ipod IN-EAR Headphones, worst product ever made?

I bought a set of the in-ear headphones the other day from argos. i love other in-ear headphones as they never fall out. But the iPod ones don't actually fit in anyones ears (Have gotten all my friends to try and they don't seem to fit anyone). the worst part is that you cant return them due to hygiene reasons but now i have a product that i spent £25 on that i cannot use. and of course i can't use my iPod now as i cant handle the headphones. Even if i lay on my bed with them i actually have to hold them in (never mind walking or anything else with them). So the question, What can i do, i feel that i have been cheated out of that money with an incredibly inferior product. who do i contact to get this sorted out.

I had the same problem; I solved it temporarily, at least, by purchasing ear bud covers; the ones I got are made to fit over the earpiece. they work pretty well while in your ear but the bud covers do not fit very tightly and they tend to fall off the earpieces when not in use. that is pretty annoying. the earbud covers normally come in a set of three pairs in one package - small, medium and large; I don't understand this as I don't expect my ears to change sizes! good luck...

  • Blackberry Pearl- Why it's the worst phone ever made

Here's why I think the Blackberry Pearl is the worst phone ever made.
    1. I can't get photo's off of it. My G1 takes a few seconds. I've worked with this Pear for hours upon hours cannot get my photo's off of it. The Desktop manager really bites too no help there. I really dislike this phone. The software just as bad. I guess they were on the move when Desktop manager was getting written.
    2. The phone on occasions would lock on letters instead of numbers. There wasn't an intuitive way to get it unlocked. I found it more intuitive to get a my return from the IRS than it was to get the phone back to dialing numbers.
I'm having my kids dress up as a Blackberry Pearl for Halloween. I'm going to make a Halloween Movie Freddy Kruger attacks people with Blackberry Pearl the topper scene features unsuspecting Pearl user getting tied up and has them attempt to copy their photos off to a PC and the video gets put on Youtube for Christmas.
    Very unsatisfied with your product.

I want to join the fun here and list all the different reasons why I'm very unsatisfied with this phone.
The actual phone part of this phone is pretty slow.  It accepts a phone number almost 3 times slower than I can type it in.  Even typing a name on their handy search bar takes forever to get a result.  If I type to fast, it just ignores a couple of my numbers so I have to delete and retype, at the same super slow pace.  I'm guessing that it searches all sorts of contact and history lists to give me cool suggestions, and that's what makes it so slow.  Either way, it irritates me to no end that the basic reason I have this thing is slow as dirt.
All 3rd Party and Blackberry apps require the Blackberry data service.  Even though there's WIFI on this phone, you simply can't connect to anything except the Browser (and even the Browser requires some setting changes to bypass the upsell screen).  This phone CAN do 3rd party services and other applications without the Blackberry data service, but they just don't allow you to.
Sometimes my phone just turns off.  I don't normally mind the 3 minute boot up process, but when I'm in the middle of something and my phone turns off for no reason, it just compounds my frustration.
The keyboard freezes up all the time.  After a good 1-5 minute "please wait clock", I finally get a message saying there was an error and my input application had to be reset.  Sometimes it doesn't quite reset all the way and I have to pull the battery and again wait for the long boot up process.
Its a little unreliable.  Besides the phone turning off at random and the keyboard freezing, I still have problems other problems.  My bluetooth turns off and sometimes doesn't come back.  Once I had to get a new phone sent to me in order to correct that problem.  Pressing buttons doesn't always get a response, especially the green "call" button.  If the phone is bogged down, it just ignored commands, which is pretty frustrating especially if you press a button and accidently double enter a command that is both the "on" and "off" options.  Also, sometimes the screen fades out (like its suppose to) but doesn't come back when you press keys.  Or the external notifications just don't turn on.  It somestimes just doesn't read my memory card.  The zoom feature on my camera also got stuck.
Other small gripes involve having no caps lock, the SureType never learning from my typing ("Hey" always goes out as "Get"), its overall slowness, the looseness of the back casing, the low quality camera, and so much more.
I don't suggest this phone to anyone.

  • IPod in-ear headphones

I just bought the new iPod in-ear headphones today and I'm completely dissatisfied with them. They constantly fall out and I don't know if I'm wearing them right. You're probably asking how can you wear them wrong? but I switched the sizes and they just fall out? What should I do?

Hi MPasquAVA182! And WElcome To Discussions!
You have posted your inquiry, in the Discussions Forum, that is intended for discourse about the use of Apple Discussions.
You will get more focused attention to your issue, if you select a more appropriate location from this page Discussions Forum Home.
    From that page, select iPod.
Then choose an appropriate iPod Forum.
For example, if you have a Fifth Generation, you would click on Using Your Fifth Generation iPod.
That one, is just the first on the page. There are different forums for each iPod model.
You will then be able to Post A New Topic

  • Ipod in-ear headphones are crap

Purchased the relatively pricey €40 Ipod in ear headphones a number of weeks ago to replace the standard ipod set that I lost. I really wanted to have a high-quality pair to listen through. None of the rubber tip sizes will remain properly placed in the ears and the resulting sound is horrendous. It's probably the shape of my ear canals, but that's no help. I'm going back to the €10 headphones that have been laying around at the bottom of my desk drawer. They sound phenomenal compared to these.

Nope, try as I might I can't see a technical question here at all. : )

  • The New Ipod in ear headphones

Will those headphones work on my iPod classic 80GB ?

    Hey there,
Yes, the headphones are supported in terms of audio, but not for the remote and mic that come along with it. Hope this helps.

  • Apple iPod In-Ear Headphones

Im leaning towards these earphones and I would like an opinion. There are many mixed reviews about this product and I think I can trust this forum. Is the bass quality good? Does it have a slight noise canceling effect? Please don't tell me to get other ear phones (shure, v-moda etc.) they are too expensive and in my opinon over-priced. I'm already spending ALOT on this new iPod (Warrenty + Case + new dock + soon to be new earphones = TOO MUCH MONEY)
    Oh and heres the link
    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=DB1 04028&fnode=home/shopipod/ipod_accessories/shop_bytype/ipodtouch1&nplm=M9394G/C

I like mine. I'm no audiophile but they sound good to me. They come in a Apple-esque case with space to store the earphone cable (about the same as the stock earphones) and the spare two of three sizes of earpiece to fit different ears.
They aren't very secure in the ears but I can and still use them for running. They do seal nicely when still and block out a good amount of ambient noise (I have to take them out to speak to someone). They seal better than my Phillips £35 of active-noise-cancelling 'phones. Perhaps my like for them is improved by the fact that I am typically sat still on night shift or at home when I use them and not on the move all that much. If you move around too much I can see they would get frustrating. To be honest they aren't worth the money Apple wants (£25) but I managed to get a new pair on ebay for £7 about a year ago and have used them nearly daily since.
    cheers

  • Apple tv is the worst product ever, why can't I play movies I have purchased through iTunes?? It's terrible

Apple TV is NOT ready for use...I have movies and TV shows I have purchased that won't play on Apple TV, what good is it?  I have authorized, deauthorized, logged in, logged out reauthorized until I am blue in the face and is still won't work.  What is APPLE trying to do with this product???
The concept is great if Apple could get it to work.

Unbelievable.  I just played the movies on every laptop around our house but Apple TV won't.  How can they even put their name behind a product like this?
BTW our house has 2 iPads, an iMac, MacBook Air, a MacBook Pro, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, 3 iTouches, 3 Nanos and an orginal iPod so we are not novices to Apple.
    Unfortunate.

  • On my 2nd Time Capsule-- worst product EVER

After buying a time capsule when it first came out and having nothing but problems to the point I had to throw the device out after taking it to an Apple store and they also threw up their hands (3 hours and 2 different "geniuses"), I can't believe I actually went out and bought the newer ones, the ones with supposed "dual band". Ha. I am an idiot for buying the same cruddy product twice. (Apple will most likely remove this post in order to hide the fact that Time Capsules and Apple routers are generally the WORST ON THE MARKET. It violate their prescious user agreement to disagree with them. This is why I'm posting this also on my flame blog.
Problem: The set up alone comes with so many different problems you want to kill other humans before you're done. It took me 2 hours to finally get my 3 computers and 1 iPhone to actually access internet via this terrible product.
Once I finally got it to work, it didn't work right. It certainly creates two different networks, one for our family and one guest network. But if you choose to operate a guest network, you can't access you family network (the one with a password) with an iPhone. The iPhone will only use the Guest Network. Is that safe? Sure doesn't seem like it to me. The iPhone will alternate seeing either network, but if you have a guest network allowed, but try to log into the family network (password)it won't let you in, even tho you enter the password correctly. It's a glitch for sure, on a brand new product. If I eliminate the guest network, the devices will work (haven't even gotten to the back-up stuff which didn't work at all on my first waste-of-money Time Capsule), or if I ignore the passworded network it will work. But to operate two networks, family and guest, at the same time? IMPOSSIBLE.
This ratty piece of technology has just cost me my entire Saturday to set up. All my equipment is new within the last 18 months too.
I went Apple with 2 computers, an iPhone, and 2 cruddy router-back-up devices. Never again Apple, you've ripped your last dollar out of me. I don't care how pretty your devices are, I'm thru. Tell that to your "just works" engineers. Just works? nah, JUST SnCKS.

The port is under powered.. this is often the experience people have.. you need to use a powered hub to get things to work. Why they worked on Gen1 and not Gen4 no idea.. but your experience is not unusual.
The TC is also pretty picky when it comes to hubs.. so not everything works even then.
Are you running SL as per your info..? That should be no problem but for Lion you need to download airport utility 5.6 to even see what is connected. There also could well be some issues in 7.6 firmware for the TC.

  • In-Ear Headphones Replacement?

Ok, I received a pair of Apple's iPod In-Ear Headphones for Christmas last year and now the sound in the right earbud has decided to essentially quit. I've wiggled the cord and squeezed the earbud and checked the balance in all of the relevant preference panes, but I've gotten to the point where I've given up on these headphones every working correctly again.
I'm wondering how I can get them replaced / fixed online. I bought my iPod in 2001 so it's way out of warranty, but the headphone are not. I've been to that iPod Service page (http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod), but I can't find a serial number on my headphones or in any of its documentation (and I can't use my iPod's serial number).
    Can anyone help me out?

I finally got my headphones replaced by Apple. I was on the phone with them for 3 days getting bounced between departments over and over again. The wait times made the process horrible.
The reason I had so much trouble, or so I was told, was that because the headphones don't have a serial number on them it's hard for them to just enter the stuff into their computers and automate the process. I was also told that no one had ever tried to get theirs replaced. Some of the people I talked to had no idea that Apple sold headphones independent from the iPod (and they kept asking me for my iPod serial number - which they don't need). Then I was told that my product didn't come with a warranty.
I eventually talked to a lady in the Disbursments office (I think), explaind my problem and what a horrible time I had had with the customer support process. She finally helped me. She asked me to fax her the front page of the warranty booklet and then she sent me a new pair of headphones (but not a brand new box, just the headphones inside the plastic container with the additional earbuds - you should make clear that these are the In-Ear headphones with addition earbuds.) Because of the terrible time I'd had she didn't require me to send back the defective headphones.
When they ask for an iPod serial number you should be extremely clear that you ARE in the right department (do not let them transfer you) and that they know exactly which product you are talking about. When they tell you they can't help you in that department, and that another department can help you, they're wrong. Sales and all those other departments can not help you.
I guess the easiest thing to do when they try to transfer you is to demad a supervisor. I'm glad I got my replacement headphones, but it was hard to do.
    I hope this helps.

  • Reak or fake Apple in ear headphone

HELP, i have found an Apple in ear headphone on yahoo auctions. it says 100% real from Apple, but i've been searching from the apple on line store and i was not able to locate such ear phone. i would like to know if this is been made by Apple or they are fake.

Nobody here can say - fakes can be very convincing. If you are worried about that then don't buy from an auction. Buy from an authorised re-seller or from Apple themselves.
Remember, if the price makes the offer sound too good to be true, then it probably is.

Beats Solo HD On-Ear Headphone red has a 5 stars review compared to others, are they the same products ,same quality of sound?

First, there are plenty "Fake" Beats headphones and earphones, they are almost looked the same with the original, but the sound qualities are basically poor.
Beats is good for people who likes strong bass.
Recently, I am in love with the new Apple earpods, they perform good, and particular with an app. called "Dirac" lite.
This is a great review for most of the top quality headphones and earphones
