I lost my ipod 4th gen, i found it today and it said it was locked for 23 million minutes. What should i do?

Why is my ipod touch locked for 21,854,788 minutes?

my friend was screwing around with my ipod touch and locked it for 15 minutes, or so he said. but then my ipod died and when i charged it it told me it would be unlocked after the time stated in the title, wich after doing the math equells out to around 40 years (if i did my math right and i think i did) but i just recently got around to trying to reset it but that has not worked either so what should i do? go to the apple store to get it fixed or smash this thing and buy a new one?

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).           and Home buttons.
     3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
         The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
         charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
         start with step 2 again.
     4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
         When this screen appears you can release the Home button.

IPod Touch disabled for 4342386 minutes!

So last night I let my iPod Touch chrage overnight, when I woke up and turned it on, it said it was disabled for 4342386 minutes. When I try to sync it with my computer, it wont let because its says I need to enter the passcode first on the iPod...Is there anything I can do to dump it and restore it? I have tried restarting it 10 times but same result so any help is appreciated.

Try connecting the iPod to the computer you normally sync with. After disconnecting from the computer you normally sync with, you should be able to try again.
