IPod is not doing anything when plugged in...

When I plug in my iPod, it doesn't do anything. It just says "Please Wat. Very Low Battery".... When I've been charging it for a whole 24 hrs.
And on iTunes, it says "The iPod cannot be sycned. THe required folder cannot be found".
What do I do now?

heres a screen shot, is there a file missing?

  • TS1369 I have Windows 8, and my ipod doesn't do anything when plugged in. It doesn't even show it's charging. What can I do?

I installed iTunes, installed the drivers for the shuffle, and synced once. Now, It doesn't charge. It doesn't make any noise when I plug the ipod into the usb and doesn't show anything in iTunes.

  • Ipod is not doing anything

Okay so I'll tell you my situation. I just got my new iPod, it is the fifth generation 80GB. Well the day that it came in I connected it to my computer and then the iTunes came up and was talking about registering it, which I then clicked "Later" because I wasn't sure if I was going to put my iPod on the computer. While this was happening iTunes placed all the songs in the Library to my iPod. Well the next day I plug it into the computer because my other one was not up-to-date and all that has happened is my iPod won't turn on and it isn't being recognized by both my computer and iTunes. Now earlier this morning it was recognized by both so I tried restoring it but it came up with an error because of an unknown cause and now it is back to doing nothing and not even being able to turn on. I deleted my iTunes about four times and re-downloaded it about five times. I followed the five R's thing, I've used all four usb ports, and I've spent the last few hours on the computer looking for some sort of help. So can anyone help me? I'm not too sure on what kind of computer I have because I didn't buy it, but I do know that it is an eMachine, it contains a Windows XP, and the intel sticker says "celeron".

    Re-read your setup manual.
Make sure your battery has sufficent charge!
Try to connect your IPOD to a secure USB port like your computer.
If your running Windows XP operating system try this in the following steps.
Note: If you dont know what Operating System your using; it may be best to seek help first with the following:
Using your Window XP program to: Do ADD/REMOVE ITunes software program.
Note: (ITunes Version 6 is not compatible with the new 5th Gen IPOD 2006-09.)
Then do Windows Update; get all the recent updates.
Download Windows ITunes Version 7.0 or higher.
Restart Computer: and run ITunes program alone.
Toggle the IPOD Hold Button On and Off.
Do IPOD Manual Reset by selecting:
Menu and Center button simultaneously, for about 6 seconds.
You may have to do this several times.
    Re-try IPOD connection to ITunes.

  • Convert Selection for iPod/iPhone Not Doing Anything

I have a ton of TV Shows that I ripped from my DVDs using Handbrake and put into iTunes. When I was ripping the videos, I chose to use the Apple TV preset since that is what I am mainly using to view the episodes. However, I have found that files created with this preset are not playable on the iPhone. I tried using iTunes' "Covert for iPhone" feature, and the file looks like it is getting converted, the progress bar goes all the way and the little success sound is played, but the file is still unable to be synced to my iPhone.
Has this happened to anyone else that was able to find a solution? The only thing I can think of is to rerip all the episodes using a preset that is playable on the iPhone, but that would be a real pain since I have about 600gb of video files to rerip...

Thanks for the reply, but iTunes did not create a new file. I looked in Movies and in TV Shows, and in Music just to be careful, but there is still only one file, the one that doesn't play on my iPhone. I even looked in my iTunes Music folder for a file it may have created an just not imported, but there is nothing there either.

  • Adobe reader not doing anything when opening PDFs

Hi, I have a client who's currently having trouble with their Adobe reader. They have many issues however I suspect they all lead back to the same issue and sorting one should sort them all. The first issue was that when double clicking/right click opening PDFs, nothing would happen no matter what method you used. When I checked the processes in task manager though, it turns out they were opening it's just that they weren't actually visible and I had no way to access them. This has also carried over to other software that this client uses and they can't see PDFs in them even though they actually are open. It's quite tough to explain but I was hoping someone could lend a hand with this, thanks!

    Hi Adam.Sedgwick,
What other applications is your client using to view PDFs? As far as Reader goes, it sounds like a reinstall may be in order. What version of Reader is your client using, and what operating system? If he or she hasn't already upgraded to Acrobat Reader DC, I would start there. Remove whatever version is currently installed, and then install the latest version from this page: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

Your post is abit confusing, especially on getting those weird messages and emails,( assumed in your Windows machine.)
Most likely you have Restored the iPod using the new Macbook pro, using the same name as that in your Windows machine, hence the duplicate name warning, as it is trying to sync Automatically.
If you are syncing your iPod to both the Mac and Windows, you must set it to Manually Manage Music, in the first machine that you setup iTunes with the iPod. Read thsi Apple Support Article
In iTunes, Preference, tick on Prevent devices syncing automatically
Hopefully your music are still in both your iTunes library,
Connect the iPod to the Mac
Restore it (just to fix any filesystem corruption by the Windows end)
Set it to Manually Manage Music
Sync your selected songs in your library.
    Whern sync complete, Eject it
Connect it to your Windows PC.
Select the song in the library
    Sync it.
It should work if your ipod Hardisk is not giving any problem.
    Good luck!

  • HT1339 I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and need to restore to factory settings as want to sell it; however it will not reset and when plugged into my MAC it says firmware corrupt? CAn anyone shed light on what i can do to overcome this issue?

I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and am unable to restore it back to factory settings even when it is connected to my MAC.  I have tried the menu/select hold but is not doing anything.  When connected to the MAC and select restore in itunes it comes up with 'Firmware Corrupt'.  It also states the IPOD is up to date.  I have the latest operating system on my MAC and wonder if this may be part of the issue?
Can anyone shed light as to what i can do to reset it back to factory settings as would like to sell it and ensure it is ready for the new owner.
    Thanks

  • How come my Ipod Touch will only charge when plugged into a computer and not a docking station or wall socket?

My IPhone works with both the charging USB cable as well as the wall socket and docking station.  Additionally, my IPod used to charge using both the wall socket plug in and the docking station.  My IPod will stay play music when plugged into the docking station, but won't charge.  Further, when I plug my IPod into my computer all it will do is charge and is not recognized by ITunes.  I have done both a soft and hard reset.

If the iPhone has no problem with the same cable then

    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
