This section of the Apple WebSite isn't shown properly under windows internet explorer 7 when the language is set to spanish. Please website developers take a look to it.
Ther's another issue even bigger when QuickTime Plugin for windows internet explorer 7 is working Apple's websites work very slow.
(This issues were tested in diferent computers and diferent locations)

Generate another of those error messages and click the "Click here" link in the error message box. What modname and modver are showing for the error? (Precise spelling please.)
If the error is a BEX and thus doesn't show an modname or modver, let us know what P1 through P9 items are showing for you instead. -
How can I download an ipod touch update from apple website?
I am having trouble updating my ipod because when it was updating my cable fell out now i cant get on to my ipod everytime i plugg in my ipod it comes up with "new hardware found" then it continues (recovery mode) however it comes up with
"no device found" and tells me to insert a disc but i dont have one or other options which also dont work and on one of the bit of advise it says download device software from manufacture but i can't find how you download it.

Depending on your iPod model and iOS you can also update "Over the Air" by going into Settings/General/Software update. You'll need a Wi-Fi connection to do this and your iPod has to be connected to the adapter. -

I signed up to get my iPod repaired but when I completed the forms I got some alert windows talking about SQL errors. And I never got an "email with further instructions" like the website said I would. You guys are all about computers and software and your website doesn't even work properly? Kinda scary.
PS -- Invest in a support ticket system or something.Same here, and my warranty runs out in a month so I need to send my iPod off as it is f**d, but how am I meant to do that when I haven't got the emailed I was supposed to receieve with further instructions??!! HELP!

i want to see a list of all the products registered in my name.You cannot find the ipod using the serial number. You can give it to the police, so if they find it they can identify it.

I currently have Mac OSx and looking to upgrade to Lion (sounds like I need to go through Snow Leopard upgrade first). Is there an easy way to simply download these upgrades rather than order via the mail? Any way to avoid updgrading two separate times and have the ability to go direct to the Lion upgrade?
Thanks!You cannot download Snow Leopard. You have to buy it on disk.
Once you've installed that, and updated it to 10.6.8, you can download Lion from the App Store.
Apple also sells Lion on a USB stick, but I don't know if it is possible to install that on a disk with just Leopard.

So I'm unsuccessfully trying to update my itunes on my windows laptop. If i were to update it from the 'Download itunes' page on Apple website (even though I already have it) would that update it, or instead would I lose all my music?If you are still having problems see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

My iPod is stuck on apple logo and I get a 1434 Error when trying to restore it.
Hello, I hope somebody can help me. I have a 120 gb ipod classic (6th generation). I purchased it a long time ago. It was working fine for a few years and then suddenly it's been stuck on the apple logo ever since.
I tried to restore it by putting in on disk mode and connecting it to my Mac. My iTunes recognizes the device (But my Mac doesn't!). On iTunes, I tried to restore it, but I get an error message 1434, stating that the restoration could not be completed.
I read that I should try to erase the drive with Disk Utility, but when I get there, the button to erase the drive is unclickable. I tried to partition as well, but it also did not work (maybe I am doing it wrong? Could somebody direct me with better instructions?)
I'm wondering if the hard drive is dying, or if I have a bad ribbon, or if the logic board itself is broken. Not sure what method of action I should take. I can't even get into the diagnostic screen.

I just got an iPod 4th generation and Im trying to sync my iTunes songs and books from my dell laptop on to my iPod but it says I need iTunes 10.6.3. So I tryed to download it on the apple website but it keeps saying that there is an error. I have already tryed uninstalling all Apple Inc. programs on my laptop then trying to install iTunes again but that has had no success what so ever. I have started to get very frusterated with this . I already tried to restore the iPod, and I tried unchecking and checking every option for what I want to sync to my iPod. I restated my computer as well as iTunes, and I feel like I am out of options. goto itunes and hook up your ipod
click on the ipod in itunes and goto music tab in right hand screen
untick sync music option
apply / sync
go back and re-tick the option
apply / sync

HELP: iTunes crashes (won't open), and Apple website crashes Explorer too
I've had an iPod for years, and have 16G + of music in my library on my old desktop computer. That computer is EXTREMELY slow, however.
I got an iPhone last week. So since I want more ease of music access, I thought I'd install iTunes on my laptop (which is so much faster), and move my music from my old desktop.
Last weekend, I only got around to installing iTunes on my laptop, and authorizing that computer so I could download some apps.
This weekend, I tried to open iTunes on my old desktop computer again, so I could start the process of moving my music library to the laptop. I was surprised to discover that iTunes won't even open anymore, at all. I just get the standard error message, "iTunes 8.0 experienced a problem and had to close." Believe me, I've restarted the computer several times, and it still won't open. I've run Norton, and there are no viruses identified either.
So, I thought I should go to the Apple website and download the program again. Not possible! Anytime I even try to go to www.apple.com or www.apple.ca or www.itunes.com/downloads, my Explorer browser window crashes. In fact, it crashes any and ALL open browser windows, not just the one that I typed an apple URL into.
I'm fortunate that can use my laptop to access this apple forum, or I'd really be at a loss.
Is this happening because I authorized my laptop? It seems more like an evil Apple-hating Microsoft virus somehow...
What can I possibly do to get my iTunes library (all 16 gigs of it) to my laptop, WITH all my carefully organized playlists, etc?Sounds a lot like a virus I had on my desktop..it finally forced me to wipe everything and go with the laptop.
However you could try to download Firefox, or another browser, and then try to log onto Apple. Maybe its completely an Explorer issue? Cant hurt to try at least. Firefox is quick and free to download.

My daughter has an iPod touch using my apple ID, I just purchased an iPhone with the same ID. Is there a way to keep my stuff seperate from her ipod but still share the iTunes account? I was looking through the photo section on my iPhone and found pics my daughter has taken from her iPod. I do not want my pics, emails, etc to show up on her iPod. Is there a way to stop this from happening or do I have to create a different Apple ID for her to use instead?

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -
When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. I want to bring over music from my iTunes library on iMac to an ipod touch with another apple id. please help. Is this possible. In former versions of itunes this was posible. I can't find the solution is iTunes 11
Perhaps those apps require a newer version of iOS than is compatible with your iPod.
