Ipod keeps asking to restore when there's nothing wrong
Just got a new 5th Gen ipod for christmas. When I turn it on i frequently get the apple logo followed by a request to plug the ipod into the computer and restore it. When I turn it off and back on, the apple logo returns but then it goes onto the menu and the ipod works normally.
I don't want to have to restore it and start fresh, but it is annoying. Can anybody give me any tips?
No i'm keeping it on the same computer. I haven't restored it yet, i know it sounds lazy but its a bit of a hassle as I update my ipod manually so it would take a fair hour to drag all the songs back onto it.
If nobody has had any similar problems and found out how to solve it, then I may have to try restoreif it gets worse.

Nano keeps asking to restore when I plug it in
All of a sudden my Nano (4th gen) is telling me to restore to original settings every time I plug it in. I have all the most recent updates 8.2.0.23
I even went to the Apple store last night, and of course the iPod synced right up there! I don't know what to do, I cannot get any of my songs to download.
Any suggestions? I am running on Windows XP. Thanks!this is happening to mine too.And then when I plug it in it says it can not be found or error -48.I have done the 5R's as well and tried it on another computer and nothing is working.I think there is a 1 year warranty on all of them so go into the store and ask how to get it.I have heard that the problem is connected to the new version of iTunes

We’ve been using iTunes Match pretty much since the beginning, but recently my wife has turned it off and refused to re-subscribe. I’m fast getting to the same place. It just seems so unstable, wishing Apple would invest some of their billions into it. I read with dismay how many people find Google Play to be so much better. As I write this I see a “Cannot connect to iTunes store” on my iPhone. Noting wrong with our connection … it’s alive and well.
Bearing in mind that I have two Macs, an iPhone and an iPad and my wife has a Mac, iPhone and iPad what we really want is the following.
I want all our music to go up to one location (iCloud or even better our own server). I want an app or web app that I see on the right hand side a list of artists or albums (or playlists) and columns for each device. I want to be able to tick the “matrix” to specify which devices the artist/album/playlist should be downloaded to. When the device is switched on, it must download (no fuss no bother and no stupid I-can’t-do-anything-about error message). A nice enhancement would be to specify three options for each entity (Download, Stream, Not Available). There must be options to easily bulk select.
So … is there such a thing out there?
In my immediate family plus spouses and kids girlfriends/boyfriends there are 11 Macs, three iPads and 10 iPhones. My brothers are very similar. I have nieces and nephews that use Apple. My parents also use Apple. Collectively, we have a bunch of Apple equipment.
Did I mention I'd like it to be stable?Unless you have EE 4G service the UK 3G networks are the base of your problem - they are just far to variable in download and streaming speeds.
Add to the fact that use can/will eat into your Data usage !
ITunes Match as a service is pretty experimental at best over 3G and really i think so long as you have a 32GB or larger iOS device sync'ing via iTunes on a PC/Mac remains the best way to transfer music.
Remember even with iTune Match your music is STILL ON your own PC/Mac HDD !
Usng the devices tab in iTunes you can customize each differing identified iOS device and load as you please.
When we have a competitively priced stable and extensive LTE network in the UK then reconsider Match at that point. -
What could block a script, when there's nothing wrong with it?

I've just wasted some hours trying to get a script to execute. It threw an error saying that the 'object wasn't valid' I decided to give up, wen't home, and later at home started up again to see if I could sort it out.
It executed well on the first run.
Same computer. No changes to the script. ESTK was set to InDesign 5, I checked it a million times.
What could cause this to happen? Caches overflowing? "Blocks" between InDesign and ESTK?
The script isn't callng for any URIs or such.

Either a bad memory/storage location that manifests its infrequently or a intermittent hardware problem like a loose connection.

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Try changing the iPod's drive letter as it may be conflicting with another device that has the same drive letter assigend to here. See here for more details.

Ipod Keeps Asking To Power Off
Basically my iPod keeps asking me to "slide to power off", and it usually happens only when i use the speaker volume. So in order for it not to say anything i have to have the volume off.(which isn't the solution i wanna hear)
Any way I can fix this?
I've already tried restoring my iPod and i have searched Google for a solution, so far nothing. *Returning or Sending it in to Apple is not an Option* But if that's the only answer/solution then thanks.I have this SAME problem. When I'm using my 32 gb iPod Touch, currently, it will turn off automatically, and CONSTANTLY asks me to power off. When i hit CANCEL, it will shut off. It's starting to really **** me off. I have done a restore, and yet, continues.

When I try to import songs from a CD into iTunes it can't find the titles online. This wasn't a problem previously, now it is. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. Any solutions? Help says to try again later but no luck there. I've tried multiple times with multiple CDs.
To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step. -
Constant notifications even when there's nothing to be notified of. Galaxy S5.
Ever since I updated my Samsung Galaxy s5 yesterday I have been getting constant message tones even when there's nothing to be notified of. I have restarted my phone more than enough times to know its not that causing issues.

This definitely seems strange that you are receiving these notifications without having any type of texts, or emails, or any other types of notifications. Since the software upgrade, have you downloaded any new apps? Let's also try to power the device off, remove the SIM card and wait for about 30-60 seconds and then put the SIM back in and power back on. Keep us posted!
