Ipod keeps charging does not show full charge

my ipod is only a year old and is not completing the charging cycle showing the full charge have already rebooted???

you might believe that this is too much information.
neither beloved nor i have any idea why belladonna was called belladonna. i only rediscovered that that was her name when i saw that in an event log entry while i was doing a troubleshoot here at Discussions. we've discussed the matter at length, and the best we can come up with is "it must have seemed like a good idea at the time".
mauve did not have a name until attractive beast came on the scene. when i first got attractive beast, i believe i thought "what an attractive beast you are," and the name came pretty easily after that.
beloved had been using mauve on a regular basis prior to that. the "b noir" and "beloved" pseudonyms actually date back to the late-80s/early-90s. beloved's full psuedonym is "m beloved", where the m stands for "mauve". so the ipod that beloved used most became mauve, too.
even though beloved chose the "mauve" pseudonym for herself, she does not like it as a name for an ipod, and constantly refers to mauve as "the mypod".
