IPOD keeps saying to restore

I added songs to my IPOD and then disconnected. When I went to listen IPOD was blank. When I plugged it in again to I-Tunes it said that IPOD is in recovery mode and must restore. I've done this numerous times but still says to restore. I get an error message that says windows - Delayed write failed. Windows was unable to save all of the data for the file H:
Is there some way to fix this myself?

Maybe this article will help you.

Do you have anything connected to the dock connector of the iPod like a dock or cable?
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:

Why does my ipod keep saying 'your apple ID has been disabled when i try to get a free app???

If you rest it on your computer's iTunes then try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

  • IPod Mini says must restore on one computer but not another

I have two computers. The one where most of my music is stored is running Windows XP. Each time I plug in my iPod it says I must restore it. I do this and it still says I must restore it again. I have tried a different cable but no success. When I connect same iPod to Windows Vista computer (has very little of my music) it connects fine. Any ideas?

Have you had a chance to look at this troubleshooting page? If not, have a look at the bottom section that covers what to try if the message keeps reappearing: iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore
Towards the end it says "If after restoring your iPod, the message described above reappears, the iPod drive letter may need to be reassigned. See the "Change the Drive Letter" section of this document for steps to assign a different drive letter" which contains a link to this article: Windows confuses iPod with network drive

Now when i plug in my nano it keeps saying do not disconnect and although the ipod symbol appears on the itunes, no instructions have popped up to explain how the music transfers even though it says it in the booklet and when i click file the update ipod button isn't clickable. I'm just wondering if there's anything i could do

  • Why does my iPod keeps saying "Trust Computer?" and iTunes doesn't recognize my iPod?

I connect my iPod to my laptop, and everytime my iPod keeps showing up this "Trust This Computer?" I always answer "Trust" , but when I connect again it asks the same question. Also when my iPod is connected it doesn't show up in iTunes. It shows up in my laptop in "Devices and Drives" as 'Apple iPod'. It doesn't even show up as the name I gaved it. Please help, I want to add music to my iPod but I can't because of this problem.

  • HT1926 I have an ipod touch and recently updated my itunes and now my ipod keeps saying it is in recovery and needs to be restored.  I keep attempting to do it (as it takes about 45 min.) and afterwards I get the same message.  The screen tells me to plug

I have an ipod touch and recently performed the latest updates of itunes.  It said there were problems with my ipod and it need to be restored.  I did that and now it says it's in recovery mode and that I need to restore it.  It takes 45 minutes and I've tried it several times and keep getting same message.  My ipod is now unusable and it has a photo of a plug with an itunes icon telling me to plug it in.  It is plugged in???  I restarted the computer, tried another computer, reset my ipod and nothing.  Help!

  • Ipod wont restore it just keeps saying to restore again

i changed the password on my ipod touch 5 and i forgot it almost immediatley! It said connect to itunes after so many password attempts so i tried that! i had never actually synced before so it required a password to connect and obviously that didnt happen because the ipod was disabled...
i tried the advice on this site and set my ipod to restore mode, and itunes began to restore it, but every time it finished, the itunes store told me that it needed to be restored again! So it just kept going in this loop although nothing was actually happening! What should i do? Please i need an answer asap

    Did you already try this?

  • My iPod keeps saying "Downloading 46 of 94" in the photos

I recently restored my iPod touch 4th generation running on 5.1.1 and in the photos app it says Downloading 46 of 94" when I don't have 94 potos. How do I fix this?
It looks like this, and it won't stop, I already tried resetting it, and also my photo stream is not turned on so don't say anything about that. Please help, this is really annoying

Try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all setting
Next would be to restore the iPod. (again).

  • Used IPod Updater - IPod keeps saying Do Not Disconnect

I had to restore my IPod because of an issue with it. Now when I plug the IPod into my computer it says I need to use the IPod Updater to update my software. I did this last nite at 6 PM and it still says Do Not Disconnect. It has been almost 12 hrs. Help! I would like to use it on my business trip coming up.

Updating the iPod software shouldn’t take any longer than a few minutes.
First of all, try clicking on the little x in the top corner, which might take you to the next stage in the process. Sometimes it gets stuck.
If this doesn’t work, shut down the computer, disconnect the iPod, restart the computer, run the updater again, and connect the iPod when prompted.

  • Ipod keeps asking to restore when there's nothing wrong

Just got a new 5th Gen ipod for christmas. When I turn it on i frequently get the apple logo followed by a request to plug the ipod into the computer and restore it. When I turn it off and back on, the apple logo returns but then it goes onto the menu and the ipod works normally.
I don't want to have to restore it and start fresh, but it is annoying. Can anybody give me any tips?

No i'm keeping it on the same computer. I haven't restored it yet, i know it sounds lazy but its a bit of a hassle as I update my ipod manually so it would take a fair hour to drag all the songs back onto it.
If nobody has had any similar problems and found out how to solve it, then I may have to try restoreif it gets worse.
