Ipod Login Reset

I havent used my Ipod touch for months. I have de-activated the e-mail account that was initally used with this ipod touch. Everytime I try to use my updates, it asks for my e-mail password. I have no clue! How do I reset this with my new apple account?

If you're talking about your Apple ID, it's impossible to deactivate it.

All items obtained from the iTunes Store are PERMANENTLY associated with the Apple ID that was originally used to obtain them.  You MUST enter the password of the original Apple ID.
Apple IDs can not be deactivated.  Apple IDs can not be merged.  Items obtained on one Apple ID can not be transfered to another Apple ID.
Go here to investigate what Apple IDs you have.  Do not create a new ID as it will add to your aggravation.  You might wish to change the passwords of the IDs that you already have so that they're all the same.  That will minimize your aggravation.

  • IPod shuffle Reset Utility for my iPod IS NOT WORKING

Last night I get a ipod shuffle (1st gen) by second hand
and when I first try it is still playing songs.
But when I put it on my PC, and Install iTunes and putting songs in etc.
    IT DOESN'T PLAYING ANYTHING ANYMORE.
I used all soluions on the web site, also the "iPod shuffle Reset Utility"
it still cannot reset my iPod.
now my iPod shuffle is ver 1.1.4, and the lastest iTunes(7.5)
anything I can do is NOT WORKING.
does anyoen can help me or do I need to buy another one NEW?

How are you resetting the password?
Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
    In Terminal, type:
    resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.
    Good luck,

  • IPod shuffle Reset Utility & older "error 1418" thread

As you probably noticed, there's already an announcement about the iPod shuffle Reset Utility on this forum. As the announcement says, this utility indeed solves problems that were, until now, unsolved. One example is the "error 1418" problem discussed in the following thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3191414
I think it would be really useful if there was a reply on that thread linking to the announcement, since people searching about that issue will most likely find that thread, and not the announcement (precisely what happened to me). The problem is that the thread is locked, but perhaps a forum admin can do it.
If that's not possible, the author of the announcement could at least edit it so that it includes the term "error 1418" (to increase the chance of people searching for that term to find that page).
I apologize if this has been suggested before.

I did not touch my shuffle for 3 days, tried it in my computer again, and it still failed. All the same problems. No lights and none of the programs acknowledged it, except the reset utility, which gave me the same error message.
So, I returned here, praying for answers. Nothing. For some reason, I tried turning the ipod on, and BOOM, I got a green light and it seemed okay. Tried it in my computer again, and now it works! I've reset it anyway (through itunes), and all seems well.
I guess time does heal all wounds. Thanks to everyone who tried to help. Assume all worked out unless you hear from me again.
No more radio for me! (again)... yeah.

  • Dock + Remote apple in the ipod 3g reset while viewing videos

    Hello.
I have the following problem is my ipod nano 3g 1.1.3 connected to the dock of apple and driving with the remote apple.
The problem is that the iPod is reset when you press forward or play / pause while playing videos, I have tested with the podcast "Apple Special Event, October 2008", the reset is random.
Any idea? in support of apple I have sent this url, but I have not managed to solve the problem http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1517?viewlocale=es_E
the iPod is connected to the apple tv composite video
Os the functional dock + apple + remote video components with the iPod nano 3g, when playing videos? are you reset the ipod?
    Thank you very much.

This rather depends on whether it broke because it was faulty - in which case it would be covered - or it broke because it was damaged - in which case it most likely wouldn't be.
In any event the best thing would be to deal with Apple directly. Please see this page:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/#repair2
and please particularly note the caveats in section 3 about not retaining the data and the possibilty of a replacement having a later OS.
    Also please note http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/#warranty5

  • How do I get back into my ipod without resetting it? Its disabled and says I have to connect to itunes

How do I get back into my ipod witout reseting it? It says I have to connect to itunes becuase its disabled.

Restore.  Note that it could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without be charged again.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • IPod keeps resetting while playing an album

I recently purchased the new Kings of Leon album, Only by the Night, on iTunes. However, when I try to listen to it on my iPod, after certain songs the iPod will reset itself and show the black screen with the white apple. This is the only album that this has ever happened with. I tried deleting the album and reloading it, but it keeps happening.

Hey, just had this problem but its been fixed.
    This was my question.

  • Strange message on ipod - Wont reset????????

I got an message on the ipod with video. It says "accesorize test plug FW" and a bunch of letters.
Anyone know what this is? My ipod wont reset either???
    cheers

It seems as if you have accidentally entered the iPod diagnostic mode. A reset is the usual way to exit that. It may take quite a few attempts and is best done connected to power. If not then you may have to restore it.

  • IPod 60GB resets each time it turns on?

Is it normal for a 60GB iPod to reset...so the apple logo shows up...each time the ipod is turned on? It's never happened to me before and its annoying. Also, how loud is the ipod's HDD supposed to be, I find that when I tip my ipod from side to side, I hear a faint screeching noise.

After 14 hours of inactivity, the iPod goes into hibernation mode. After this, it will appear to reset when started again.

  • IPod Nano resets for no reason

    I have an 8gb 3gen Nano.
Until about 5 days ago I had encountered no problems. In the last 5 days though the iPod has taken to randomly reseting. I have tried resetting, restoring and reinstalling both the iPod and iTunes.
When connected to my pc, it starts iTunes, syncs and then disconnects automatically, generally after this it restents (and I have to select my language again). Some songs (specifically purchased songs) won't play from 'Cover Flow' trying causes the iPod to reset, however the same songs will play ok if they are contained within a playlist.
    Any suggestions?

It might be a litle more complicated as I discovered it's not a hardware bug, but something that afects a lot of iPod Touch around. Here is another thread in this forum:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7070990
Best regards, and cry for HELP to Apple. C'mon, this is WAY behond expensive device to have this stupid bug. Apple should solve this NOW.

HI my sons iPod touch has disappeared from my find my iPhone account and it can't be located in the house is it possible someone has stolen the ipod and reset it? Please help a confused mum...

Could be. The battery could also have died or it is no longer connected to the internet

No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
