IPod mini screen is frozen as either apple symbol or external charge screen

Hey,
Just a little problem here; I can't make my iPod mini (old and gold) play music, readable by the computer, or anything useful. I tried the 5 R's and after changing the mini to disk mode it asked to be charged externally. I bought an external charger, but it will not remove the screen of the Apple symbol or the external charger. When unplugged, it refuses to turn on, except it will show these two screens when you attempt to restart it. Also, I tried many ports on this computer, a new USB wire, and anything I could find in six hours of searching online in support...How do I make this problem disappear without using the my expired warranty?

Hello Norm,
Try a hard reset of the iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear again. Keep in mind, this troubleshooting procedure may take a few attempts.

Hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time until the iPad restarts.
If that won't work, just let the battery completely drain before you plug the iPad into a power source again.
Lastly, you could plug the iPad back in, startup iTunes and do a full restore.

Whenever i start my macbook pro the screen remains gray with the apple symbol and the circle timer below. The screen stays this way even if i leave it for hours.

When i turn on my macbook a box appears telling me i need to restart my computer (in different languages) and in order to do so i have to press on the off button for a lil while. Even after doing this the same box appears and it never restarts correctly. This box appears every single time. I rarely turn my computer off. I just place it on sleep mode and restarts it only when i get prompted to. I brought it to genius and they couldnt figure out what the problem is so i was told it needed to be shipped to get fixed. I didnt have anything backed up. All i want saved are the pictures because i went to 2 events where i was the assigned photographer and i didnt get to save it to an external memory. Genius said that when shipped i cant give instructions like make sure to save the pictures and if they are unable to, call me if they should go on with the process. I was wishful thinking that to fix the problem they might not even have to touch the pictures memory part. I brought my MBP back home hoping it will miraculously starts and id be able to back it up but now all it does when i turn it on is the screen remains gray with the apple symbol and the circle timer below. The screen stays this way even if i leave it on for hours. Please help me fix this!!! cant i really specify to the technicians at apple to please make sure not to erase the pictures? Is there no other way to turn on my mac? I only need it to work ones.

That's not a good sign, take your iPhone to a premium reseller or to an Apple Store.

Hi You may have a hardware fault take ipad to Apple Store. Ring then first to make an Appointment take box and you purchase paperwork they may give you A replacement. Before you do that Try a Reboot hold down power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo you may need to hold down for up to 30 Seconds But you may need to do this more than once. If it doesn't work take back to Apple Store. Cheers Brian

Apple symbol appears on the screen but then nothing

When powering my Apple TV the Apple symbol comes on the screen but then disspears. I think it should then go to the menu but I have a blank screen.
The resolution indicator on the TV changes from 720 to 1080 and then slowly alternates from black to dark grey.
The TV is a Panasonic TXL55DT50B which seems to be working fine in all other aspects.
Can anyone help please.

Welcome to the Apple community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

Recently I've had a problem where my iPod Touch has been stuck on the apple symbol. I took the advice of people and tried putting it in recovery mode, but nothing happened (when i pressed restart it did nothing). However, today I tried restart again and it did restart (the screen went black), but then it went onto the low battery symbol. This has now happened every time i restart it. Because it's on low battery it mean I can't carry on with putting it in recovery mode (i.e holding down the home button). I have tried charging it loads, but it still doesn't work

Ipod mini not quite frozen...but won't take me to my menu

Hi all, I have been pouring through the forums but don't think I have come across someone with the exact same question--perhaps I have missed it.
I have had my mini for about a year and 6 months and just the other day, i noticed the apple was on the screen as if it were starting up. Problem is, the apple does not leave the screen. I have toggled the Hold button and done the restarts. When the apple reappears after a restart, it still remains there. I did have a full battery but let it charge for a day just to make sure and still no change. I let the battery drain way down too and when I do the restart, the low battery icon comes up. It also is not recognized on my iBook. I am hopeful to be able to fix it...is this naive? Is there a solution? Thanks for any input! (it has had such a well-cared for life too!)

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with their iPod touch. It recently just decidd to conk out. By conk out I mean it's a black screen with the Apple symbol. I've tried turning it off and turning it on again. But that doesn't work. I even left it off for a couple days but that didn't help either. I had a couple of apps on it...do you think maybe it has a virus? Is there anything I can do myself to fix the problem?

TS3274 My ipad wont turn on. The screen is frozen with the apple icon in the middle.

It is frozen on the screen that shows when you try to turn it back on. Also, my back camera isnt working. Only the front one is working and I havent done anything to the back camera. Please help

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should re-appear and it will hopefully reboot - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it does boot up properly and the camera is still not working then try closing the Camera app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
