Ipod mini stuck in recovery mode, even after restoring

my ipod mini is stuck in recovery mode. I've tried putting it into disk mode and restoring the ipod but , as soon as it resets after restoring it shows it's still in recovery mode. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

What happens if you try and do a low level reformat of the iPod using the tools provided by windows and the step-by-step guide on this page?

Another good troubleshooting step at this point might be to remove all other USB devices (minus the keyboard and mouse if applicable) and reboot your PC.
Try restoring it on another PC or Mac if necessary.

Currently it is stuck in "recovery mode".
I have followed the steps given by Apple here on a Microsoft Windows system with the latest Apple iTunes software but after step 9 I am back to "recovery" mode where I am given the option of performing the restore process all over again.
How can I restore this iPod Nano?

IPhone 4S stuck in recovery mode even after restore

Yesterday my sister told me she had a problem with her iPhone.
She was on 5.1.0 and updated OTA to 5.1.1. When the update was done, her iPhone rebooted and displayed the 'connect to iTunes' screen. She gives it to me, I do what I can and after several restores the only thing that shows up after a restore is the 'connect to iTunes' screen. In iTunes, it says it's in recovery mode and needs restoring....again.

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes): This issue is typically caused by out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software. Please followTroubleshooting security software issues if USB troubleshooting does not resolve this issue.

My iphone is stuck in landscape mode, even after restore

Help! Today my iphone is stuck in landscape mode, even after restore system, safari, mail, camera and other apps don't rotate! I tried rebooth, restore and, when i open the apps, it turns to landscape and dont rotate. I locked to portrait position, but the camera stays in landscape, for example. And when i unlock the portrait the display of all apps returns to landscape!! My iphone 4 is new, i bought it november 2011!!! Please, help me!

My ipod touch is stuck in recovery mode and wont restore when i turn on my ipod it says connect to itunes so i then connect to itunes it then notifies me that im in recovery mode and to get out i need to restore I go on to restore it extracts the software it starts restoring and about a quarter done it just stops it doesnt give me a error code it just stops someone please help me

IPod mini stuck in recovery mode

After updating to iTunes 7, a message apeard in iTunes after connecting my iPod that it was in Recovery Mode and needed to be restored. After restoring the iPod and reconnecting to iTunes, the same message came up again.
Please help.

I'm having the same issue, also after just updating to iTunes 7.

...But then I tried to update with some new music added and I'm back to being stuck in recovery mode. I've run through those procedures 4 times now, and I'm not getting any results.

so i plugged my ipod touch in the other day and updated itunes, but then my ipod went in to recovery mode and itunes said i needed to restore it...so i clicked restore, then restore and update, then it took 2 hours to download and nothing happened afterwards. its come up with error 1604 a few times and wont restore. i hav tried so many things-i've put it in DFU, i've even tried on another computer and on my laptop that had no memory of it. this is the 3rd time this has happened to my ipod now and it is so annoying !! the other 2 times i hav taken it to a apple store and they hav fixed it but i dont wanna keep having to do that-and i dont see y they can fix but i cant please help me it would be much appresiated.

How to recover from an iPod Touch 2G stuck in recovery mode (even after using DFU)

I have an iPod Touch 2G which is in a mode that requires recovery. When connecting it to a Windows XP computer running iTunes 11.0.2.25(HP) it is detected as needing recovery. I think it has got into this state from pressing random buttons when it stopped working (not a good idea!).
I turn off my AVG antivirus software and Windows firewall and start the iTunes recovery. This fails with error 40.
I now try putting the iPod into DFU mode using iREB-v6. This reports that the iPod is in "PWNED DFU state". I then try the iTunes restore again and this time the iPod screen turns white and then I get an error 21.
I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers (Windows XP and Windows 7) and have also tried different USB ports.
Whilst this iPod was never knowingly jailbroken a visit to an Apple store was unsuccessful in that they claimed it had been jailbroken. Various combinations of buttons have been pressed together but no different firmware installed. I don't want to jailbreak it - just restore the factory settings. I'm not bothered about retaining any contents of the iPod.
Any ideas on what to try next and any advice on what the updater log is telling me precisely about the problem would be really useful.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I-touch will not come out of recovery mode, even after restore attempts

iTouch became unresponsive after charging. The screen dispalyed icons indicating it should be connected to iTunes.
iTunes said that it was in recovery mode and needed to be restored.
Multiple attempts at restore have been unsuccessful. After each restore "completes", the ipod reappers in iTunes saying that it is in recovery and must be restored.
ITouch buttons will only shut it down by holding down the top black button. Power down never appears on screen, home button is unresponsive.
iTouch is only 6 months old.

I've had a cursory look at the SP1 release notes, and couldn't spot anything vital - what critical stuff do you know of in SP1?
I don't want to have to go through all the pain of setting up VM's, reinstalling iTunes, getting all my album art back in etc. (though I could, as I do have Win7 pro). I've also heard that running iTunes in Windows 7 compatibility mode might help. Can anyone confirm whether that actually works?
I think it's in Apple's gift to fix this issue, given that they say that they support Windows 7. So far I've had no feedback from a mail I sent to Apple, and the number of users reporting this problem keeps going up and up.
I want Apple to recognise that there is a problem, and then I want them to fix it.

I did the restore and it cleared and reset the iPod but after it finished the same error came up. I tried this 3 times. Also it no longer shows up as a drine in My Computer.
if it's relentlessly doing that to you, it's plausible that the message is being caused by a Windows drive letter confusion. (that's consistent with the disappearance for My Computer, too.)

Placing your device into recovery (DFU-Device Firmware Upgrade) mode:
