IPod missing from box

So I bought 2 iPod touches for my kids for Christmas from London drugs and on Christmas day they opended them up. My boy had one and my girl Nothing in the box, so I waited till boxing day to phone London drugs and when I did the guy said that they would fix it when we went. By they way I couldn't go to solve it out till today because I had to go into the city where I bought them, an hour away. So I got there and the I told the lady what the guy said on the phone. She said she didn't think they could do anything and she went to talk to the manger. When she came back she said that they couldn't do anything. I talked to her and gave her heck. Now what do I do!? That was my girls christmas present and now she is sad. She also said the guy on the phone didn't know what he was talking about.

Hi Marlnen: I assume both of the iPods were the first generation? Yes? Is it possible that the serial number on the box matches with one they have in a diplay case at the store.

  • "not on this ipod" missing from ios 6

Did iPod Touch 4th gen really lose the ability to download previously purchased songs from the Purchased > Not on this iPod screen?
The screen is just gone now. in IOS 5 there was a Purchased button at the bottom of the ios iTunes app, now the only Purchased option is really just a shortcut to the playlist named Purchased.
Even with the redesign of the core apps in ios 6 this seems like an oversight compared to ios 5.
There are a lot of songs I've purchased from iTunes that I have not downloaded to my 4th gen ipod Touch, but having the option to do that was great - and was a desperately needed feature before it came along.
The screen doesn't appear to have been moved or merged into anywhere else. it's just gone.
    sad
    maybe 6.01 will fix?

Ok, so the option is there in ios 6. It's been so long I think I forgot I had customized the taskbar icons in ios5 and they got reset to default in ios 6. It's not available on the task bar by default, but listed under the More menu. you can customize your task bar menu to include "Purchased" instead of TV Shows or Movies (iPod 4th gen limits you to 4 task bar icons, perhaps new iphone and itouch support itunes in widescreen now (like the ipad) and allow you more than 4 icons...?
IOS 5 : iTunes > Music > Purchased > select "Not on This iPod".
IOS 6 : iTunes > More > Purchased > Music > select "Not on This iPod".
the tricky thing is that Purchased was not displayed under the More menu by default.
to enable it: iTunes > More > Edit > from the Configure screen, drag the Purchased icon down to the taskbar over TV  Shows to add Purchased to the taskbar and automatically move TV Shows up out of the way to the More screen.
Then press Done, select Purchased from the newly updated taskbar > Music > Not on This iPod.
Phew. I knew it had to be there. After all, Apple would be working backwards away from the post PC scheme by disabling content cloud features.

  • IPhone 6 arrived - PHONE MISSING FROM BOX

My iPhone 6 arrived two days ago via FedEx.  Unfortunately, while the packaging, charger, and headphones were in the box, the actual physical phone was missing.  Has anyone had to deal with this same horrible issue?  If so, where, and what did Verizon do to rectify this issue?  I've been given conflicting information by Verizon representatives who are not willing to work with me to figure out a fast and fair way to make me whole.  Please help.

I suspect most problems not necessarily yours, is actually the buggy iOS 8.0 and the slightly better 8.0.2

  • Install Disk DVD missing from box

My recent new (June 19, 2013) MacBook Pro did not ship with an "Install Disk" DVD. How do I replace the System Software if I need to do a clean re-install?

Since the Lion launch, Macs don't come with DVDs to reinstall Mac OS X and iLife apps.
Instead, new Macs (and all Macs upgraded to Lion and Mountain Lion) come with OS X Recovery, that allows you to reinstall OS X and access to some utilities in order to fix problems with your Mac. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
There's a Recovery partition in the hard drive, and to start up in that partition, hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting. To start up into Internet Recovery, hold Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting. The only difference between them is that Internet Recovery reinstalls the original OS X version that came with your Mac, and the Recovery partition reinstalls the current version

  • Artists missing from Ipod

Artists that are in my computer Itunes library are missing on my Ipod after synching. Songs are all there under the Ipod Songs tab listing the Artist but under the Artists tab the Artist is gone.

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song is incorrectly marked as part of a compilation (and you have Compilations enabled on the iPod) or 2) the song has no album name associated with it.
if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. If you are using iTunes 8 and view the multiple items info box the compilations setting is in the "Options" tab. Setting "Compilations" on your iPod main menu prevents you getting lots of single artist entries when you load an album by various artists.
Also if the tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances (for instance I read somewhere that if you have at least two tracks with different album names the rest will appear), however the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. See this link for more detail: I don't see some of my songs when browsing by artist on my iPod

  • Having synced my ipod, there are certain artists missing from the list on the ipod, but the tracks are there under the songs list.  Any reason why and how do i correct this.  Thanks.

Having synced my ipod, there are certain artists missing from the list on the ipod, but the tracks are there under the songs list.  Any reason why and how do i correct this.  Thanks.

We'll assume for now, that all the songs and albums in your iTunes Library are correctly labelled (dangerous assumption, by the way!), and that a Compilation album is one with songs by different artists. Unfortunately, the music industry (bless their little cotton socks!) often mark an album by one artist, that has a collection of their songs from old albums, as a compilation! iTunes doesn't think it is!
The missing artists will be those who only appear on Compilation albums. For example, if you have one song by Fleetwood Mac in your Library, and it's on a multi-artist Compilation album, then Fleetwood Mac will not be listed in the Artists menu. But, if you then import a Fleetwood Mac album (or even a Fleetwood Mac single) into your Library, then not only will Fleetwood Mac appear under Artists, but the song by them in the Compilation album will also be listed.
One way to sort this out is to remove the Compilations option from the Main Menu and the Music Menu on your iPod. To do this, go to Settings/Main Menu/Compilations and press the Select (centre) button to turn off the tick. Then repeat this in the Settings/Music Menu/Compilations.
You should now find the missing artists listed in the Artists menu.
By the way, I now routinely check all albums I import from CD into my iTunes Library. Before I start the import procedure, I make sure that Compilation CD is turned on (highlight the album in the import window and right-click/Compilation CD) if it really is a multi-artist CD - and off if it's a single artist CD. Once imported, I manually change the album info to; (highlight album and select ) File/Get Info/Info/Album Artist has "Various Artists" in the box. Make sure it's the Album Artist box, not the Artist box.

  • Odd... songs missing from iTunes, but still on my iPod

I came across an odd situation, where certain songs (burned and purchased) are listed in the iTunes library, but do not connect to a file on my PowerBook. I don't recall any situation where I would have accidentaly removed the files. For example, I might have songs from seven albums for an artist listed in the library, but only two of the album folders still exist in the iTunes Music Folder.
Although missing from the PowerBook, the song files are on my iPod. I feared that on the next sync, those files would be removed, as the PowerBook autosyncs and supposedly conforms the iPod to the iTunes library. But... no, the files have remained on the iPod through several syncs.
I can find a way to restore the purchased music (although the new purchased music sync on iTunes 7 didn't do it). I can't use my automated backups, because this situation seems to have been around for some weeks, without my awareness.
The problem started on iTunes 6, so it's not a quirk of iTunes 7 (which works fine for me so far).

I seem yo have a similar problem, this is where I have purchased the songs via iTunes, and they are on my iPod but do not appear in my iTunes library, nor are they in the artists folders.
I have recently upgraded to the latest version of iTunes v7.0.1, and I have only experienced this problem since I upgraded.

  • Print Preview is missing from Firefox 6 on Mac OSX Lion in both File Menu and Print Dialog Box

The question says it all really. Print Preview option is missing from both the File menu and from the Print dialog box when you select Print. I use Print Preview a lot to avoid wasting paper.
A relevant issue might be that the Mac OSX app Preview is currently having trouble with various printers including my Xerox and so, temporarily, the default application for all Preview items is now Adobe Reader until Apple get their act together. Perhaps this is affecting things?
    Thanks for any help

It's moved to the PDF dropdown, "Open PDF in Preview"

    omijh,
It will not work no matter how many times you choose to restore your iPod touch. If it is blocked than it is blocked. So prern do not restore your iPod. It will take up your time and will be a waste. Listen to stedman1 and Dave Sawyer. An by the way, Facetime is available on iOS 4...so again you are wrong.

  • Items Listed In Library, But Missing From iPod/Hard Drive of Computer

I recently had my latest disaster with iTunes wiping out the content of my iPod. I hooked up the iPod to the computer to charge and to add on a few more items. When it updated, it started from scratch and updated some 1700 items or so directly from my computer hard drive into the iPod, as if they had never been on the iPod in the first place. Further, there are still something like 2000 more items that were on the iPod before this, but now are missing from its list. These items are songs that are no longer on my computer's hard drive. These items are still listed in the iTunes library, however.
What do I do to get these items accessible again on the iPod itself? Whatever I have tried so far with updating does not do anything but have the iPod/iTunes deal with the items that are still on my hard drive of the computer. How can I get the full listing of 3700 items to play on the iPod again? Or do I have to start from scratch (this will be the third time I will have to do this if so) and reload all those hundreds of CDs back into the iPod manually?
Thank you for any advice you may be able to provide!

Were any of those exception edited with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements? If so and you can identify them, download the "Embed sRGB Profile" application from Toad's Cellar, unzip it and place on the desktop. Then take those files and drop onto the application. After the profile is embedded in the files try importing them again.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
