IPod music screen freezes after not using it for a while.

If I exit the music screen (while a song is still playing) and then return after a while, the screen will be stuck where I left it. It will show the same song even if another one has started and I will have to wait for a few seconds before it finally shows the new one. If anyone has any idea on how to fix it, i would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

- Try a reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- If problem persists the try a restore from backup
- If it still comes back try a restore to factory defaults/new iPod

What do you mean it "freezes". After 36 hours of inactivity the mini will go into 'deep sleep' mode. When awoken from deep sleep, the iPod will appear to reset. Is this what yours is doing? If so, it's normal.
Also, Apple still has a stock of minis available for warranty claims, so you wouldn't get a nano.

I went on iTunes after not using it for awhile and my old playlists are all gone. My library seems intact, but I don't have a record of my playlists, except for what's in my iPod. I'm afraid to sync them to get the playlists back into my computer, becuase the last time I synced my iphone it erased all my contacts from both my iphone and my computer, and I don't want the sync operation to remove the playlists from the iPod as well.
I don't have any music on my iPhone, so the two devices in question are just the iTunes program on the computer (it's a Dell with Windows Vista) and my 160 GB iPod classic.

After not using itunes for several months have lost prior purchases

I have lost my purchased music library. I dont use itunes regularly and had some trouble with access after forgetting my password ! While my access is restored and i have been able to purchase music since then, my original library still eludes me.
Contacting itunes seems difficult,and as I'm not savvy with computer technology, any advice with regard to my,or itunes shortcomings would be appreciated.

It sounds like something went wrong with the drive. Did you drop it? How long has it been sitting around unused?

Dry printer cartridges after not using printer for 20 days

I have a HP Photosmart Prem C310 using # 564 black ink cartridges. I use the printer infrequently (every 20 days or so). In between the printer is shut down. It appears that the ink drys out during this down time. Is there a way to extend the cartridge life? Should I pull the cartridge and store with original cap and plastic wrap or is there a way to preserve the ink in the printer? Thanks

Just set up my TC after not using it for a year. I've moved in that time, so naturally my IP address has changed. My question is, why does my airport utility still showing the old IP address?

And does this mean that my internet is still coming from the AT&T router, or from my TC?

System freezes after connecting usb harddrive for a while

I do not know when this actually started, but it has been more than one month since the first time I realized it.
It works nicely when I connect my usb hard drive, but after approximately 10 minutes (or maybe 5 minutes), or after I have done something (copy/read some data), the whole system just freezes, and I can do nothing except reboot with the power button.
In the meantime, using usb mouth/keyboards and webcams are perfectly fine.
What is the problem and how can I fix it? I do not want to test it too often as it may destroy the data...

Try the following fixes in order:

Passport screen freezes after a long call

I've got my PassPort since fall october.
Although I am quite happy with it, I have noticed that after a long call, say 15min or more, the screen becomes slowly responsive. It doesn't fully freeze, though it is very slow to bring back the unlock screen. After unlocking the screen, the device behave nearly as expected although I have also noticed that the keyboard doesn't light. And if it locks again, it stays slowly responsive until I unlock the screen. To bring back the normal behavior there is nothing to do but restarting the device.
OS is : 10.3.0.1418
Radio is : 10.3.0.1419
Device is full encrypted as well as the SD card.
I've got very few third party apps, say Whatsapp, BBM meeting, radio.fr, beta zone, device switch.
I've removed everything on the device and did a clean, full install with link but I still experienced the same issue.
Any idea ?

Thanks for replying. No, I did no test without any third party apps. I'd prefer not being forced to uninstall WhatsApp because I'm using it a lot ... I was using it in the past with BB OS 7 and had no issue so far. However I saw a lot of threads dealing with screen freezing after calling but none of them mentionning issue with WhatsApp. Do you have any link about this?
