Ipod music to imac20
ipod (formatted with windows PC) music needs to be transferred to itunes on my new iMac.iMAC recognises my ipod but got no idea how to transfer across, the ipod library shows all of the tunes but grey background. How do I pick up and transfer across to iTunes library
Any advice would be appreciated. Since I havent the internet running on iMac yet cannot download any utility etc. Any help would be appreciated. returning to Macs after many years but this is giving me some frustration

Have a look at this article for the methods you may use to transfer your iTunes library to your Mac. You cannot simply transfer the library by connecting your iPod to your Mac, unless you are using your iPod as a hard disk. The article contains instructions on how to accomplish this. I hope this helps.

i purchased a song on my Ipod Touch 4 GEN. and i listened to it not 5 mins before i synced it with Itunes...then i looked in my Ipod music library and itunes library...GONE. but when i go to download it, like with Apps when if you have purchased an app and it get's deleted...you can have it back for FREE

As it should have been transferred to your computer when you synced, you can contact itunes support and ask for an exception.

I just got a new laptop and i have an ipod touch 4th gen, and i want to sync my music, and it told me its gonna delete all the music from my ipod if i proceed and it will replace it with whats in the library, yet nothing is in the library.. I setup a separate itunes account for my iphone. I put my ipod music onto it. The music will not sync to my iphone. It tells that all info will be lost if I do it. HELP! The music is showing in the library.
you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere. Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

You can only sync with one computer/iTunes library. If you sync with another iTunes library/computer the media from the iPod will be deleted and replaced with the media on the second computer.

I keep my laptop music on an external drive. Today the drive accidentally got disconnected and thus iTunes (latest version Win XP) does not recognize it. OK, simple I thought and so I went into ADVANCE and set the directory to:
G:\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
No change in iTunes not recognizing the tunes.
I have keep iTunes Music organized and Copy to iTumes checked.
Help!Not answered but too old.

Why is the column browser greyed out when viewing iPod music?

I can not display the "column browser" for my iPod Touch, like I can for my iTunes Music Library (iTunes for Windows)
To confirm we're on the same page: the column browser is the specific display/view with "Artists" and "Albums" filters (and optionally 'Genres" , "Composers" and a few other not-so-useful options) in Columns at the top of the screen: selecting different combinations allows you to easily filter the "results" panel below, which displays all the individual songs that match those filters.
I have seen other questions on how to display the column browser, which relate more to the iTunes Library Music, opposed to the iPod touch music. (FYI the fix for the Library is to click "songs" and then the option for column browsing is available in "View/Column Browser/Show Column Browser")
If i display the sidebar, and select 'Music' under my iPod Touch, it just displays ALL songs. The option for "show column browser" is greyed out and not selectable. If i hige the sidebar, and click "Music" in the top left column under the name of my iPod, i get the same view. If i click "Music" from the big centered bar at the top of iTunes (but below the standard File/Edit menubar) this just shows my Sync options...
So question is: How do I display the column browser for my iPod music?
If i can't, question is: Why did you hide this feature and can you please bring it back?
And a general comment: Please let the brilliant Jony Ive loose on the iTunes design ASAP: it desperately needs a designer's eye to make this interface more intuitive. There are about 5 incongruous button/menu themes utilised at different places, and none of them are particularly well thought out. I'm a student of the school of thought where you can (if needed) utilise a few different interface design styles on one application to suit different users and different scenarious: but they need a talented designer to harmonise. The current iTunes is like years of changes piled on top of each other with no clear direction. Not an enjoyable experience!Hello,
All outputs from the SCXI module are measured in differential mode. You can still mix differential and single ended measurements (if you use the remaining channels of your daq board).
The easiest way to mix modes is with virtual channels. All SCXI analog input channels will be differential, while you can make other virtual channels differential or single ended. If you don't want to use virtual channels, you can use AI Hardware Config in LabVIEW to change the mode.

Hi, I lost my entire music library when my hard drive crashed 2 wks ago. It's all on my iPod, though..but the songlist appears gray. I just cannot figure out how to download my iPod music list BACK into my iTunes library. All they seems to address is Library -> iPod transfers. I'm not an iT geek.. Help meeee!

2nd day w/my ipad2. Have spent 5 hours trying to get my ipod music to play on the ipad..it has been downloaded and synced. When I click on itunes , I get a window that says "Apple mobile device service is not started." I get music symbol when click ipod.
