IPod Nano 1st Gen doesnt sync with Nikeplus (US, GER)

Folks,
I´ve found 189 saved trainings on my old ipod nano 1st generation. I tried to sync it with nikeplus, but itunes doesn´t sent any information. If I connect the ipod with itunes, nothing happened. What can I do to sent all the data to nikeplus?
Hi Leute,

  • Ipod nano 1st gen not syncing

My ipod nano 1st gen is not syncing properly. When I plug it in and itunes starts up, it begins the syncing process, but gets stuck midway through. I have it set to only sync checked songs and a specific playlist. Also, it still has enough memory. Cannot get it to sync and stays busy so long i cannot eject because computer is busy syncing! I've also tried to reset and restore, but it wouldn't restore because it was busy syncing!! Help please!

I have the same problem. I have an Ipod Nano 1st generation that won't sync also. I tried downgrading Itunes version and that didn't work. I installed the latest Itunes and firmware but I'm still having the problem.
The only solution I have found is to reset the ipod, then do a restore in itunes then run the sync. It works then once and you will need to do it again everytime you sync otherwise it won't sync. It is rather disapointing considering that the Ipod is supposed to be a premium product.

  • IPod Nano (2nd Gen) wont sync with Itunes 9

I haven't had to sync my iPod for a while, so I think it might be an issue with Itunes 9, but I am not sure.
I have a 2nd gen nano, and itunes recognises it when I plug it in, my iPod display the Do not disconnect thing, but it doesnt sync. I have it set to manually manage music, but that won't make any difference will it? Under "file" the option to Sync Songs on iPod is greyed out.
Does anyone know what to do about this? i'm really annoyed as I do not want to restore my iPod as I have some music on it that I can't find anymore (think it went missing when I moved my library 2 years ago)

i didnt realised iTunes had been changed so you had to physically drag the music you wanted on the iPod onto there yourself.
You don't have to. Only if you want to manually manage the music yourself.
i decided to just automatically sync it, but now it has wiped everything off, and is putting it all back on again! will it do that every time
    No.

  • Ipod nano 6th gen. not syncing with itunes match

After the new itunes 11 release I cannot sync my Ipod nano 6th generation with Itunes match without downloading all the songs I want to copy to my ipod to the computer first.
It is a little compersome to download 8Gb to my mac just for syncing and after sync delete them from my computer so that I just stream it again (airbook simply does not have enough space)

iTunes 11 won't even recognize my 1st and 3rd gen nanos. They've just rendered all the devices I love useless.
You can send feedback on the upgrade here:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html. I'm hoping enough legacy iPod users will speak up that they'll rethink and/or fix it.

  • IPod Nano 1st Gen Wont Charge With USB Cable

I just purchased a brand new 4 gb white 1st gen iPod nano. From the moment I took it out of the packaging and tried to charge it with the provided USB cable I noticed it was not working. No response at all, nothing was getting into the iPod. I tried multiple USB cables with equal luck.
I have a Dension I.C.E Link Plus in my car, I figured I'd try it, sure enough the iPod Nano began charging and booted up. I finished charging it to a full charge in my car.
After a few days of use, I went to charge my iPod via USB cable and when I plug it in, it connects to the computer I can transfer songs perfectly but it constantly states that the iPod is "charged" displaying the plug battery icon not the flashing thunder bolt. So I figured it was charged, when I unplugged it from the USB cable the battery meter was clearly not charged.
So, I assumed it was my computer USB ports being messed up so I purchased a A/C Wall Charger Adapter. Once again it would only display "charged" so far the only thing that will charge my nano is my car.
With the A/C wall charger I have even tried multiple cables with no luck.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!?!?!? I thought it was suppose to charge with the provided USB cable? Thanks!

Yes you have a one year warranty from the date of purchase from Apple. Go to this link and on the bottom right hand side it will ask you to enter your serial number and will tell you if you are still under warranty. http://www.apple.com/support/
If you are you can take it to a Apple store, or request service online here http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
If it is out of warranty you can google a third party service provider and get it serviced out of warranty. There are two that I know of that provide free diagnostic service. You only pay for shipping and they will tell you what is wrong and what it will cost to fix. They are ifixipodsfast.com and ipodmods.com but there are others also (I just have no experience with them) Good luck and as was stated it should charge from your usb. and just for grins, look at the docking connector on your ipod and see if there is any obstruction that is obvious.

  • IPod Touch (1st Gen) not syncing with iTunes 11.0.4

I own an iPod touch 1st generation and for some reason it won't sync music properly with the latest version of iTunes. This problem has been going on for about 6 months. I have found some way around it but it involves wiping the iPod entirely and then syncing it with my iTunes. This, however, is a very long process and I want to know if there is a solution. I do understand that this is a very old iPod (c. 2005) but I've had it from new and other than this problem it works perfectly fine and has a decent battery life. I don't really care much for apps I just want to be able to listen to my music on the train without having to fork out for a new iPod or iPhone.

    I would try:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP

  • Ipod Nano 7th Gen not syncing with Itunes

My 1 week old nano wont sync with Itunes anymore. I have tried rebooting it and reinstalling Itunes too, but nothing is working. It is connecting at random time but not everytime I try connecting it. I once plugged it into a different desktop and it shut down, after that it isnt connecting properly with my system. Is this the problem here?

    Hey VandanaR,
Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like you are unable to sync your iPod because it is not connecting to iTunes. If you are experiencing this issue on a Windows computer, you can follow the applicable article from this resource:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3716
    Windows

  • Ipod Nano (3rd gen) not syncing with Microsoft Outlook 2007

I previously upgraded computers and now I can't sync my ipod with my outlook calendar. I upgraded to 2007. Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any thoughts or help. Thanks.

iTunes 11 won't even recognize my 1st and 3rd gen nanos. They've just rendered all the devices I love useless.

  • For the iPod nano 1st gen replacement program what generation of iPod nano will it be replaced with?

For the iPod nano 1st gen replacement program what generation of iPod nano will it be replaced with?

8GB. Nice little unit when used by itself. BUT don't even think about connecting to any docks or other third party interfaces 'cause IT AIN"T GONNA WORK RIGHT!
Both of my Pioneer car stereos have the same problem with both of my 6th generation iPod Nanos:
The first time you connect the iPod, the radio recognizes the it and works. BUT THE NEXT TIME YOU TURN THE RADIO ON THE DISPLAY FREEZES. The only way to get it working is to disconnect the dock connector from the iPod and reconnect it. THIS ***** AND IS NOT THE WAY THESE UNITS BEHAVED WITH MY 1ST GENERATION NANO. Both of my new 6th generation ipods have been restored (several times) and have the latest firmware which, as of this writing is 1.2 and still the problem persists.
My two Pioneer car stereos that don't work right with the iPod Nano 6th generation:
    Pioneer DEH-P4900iB
    CD-i200 iPod cable for above
Scion XB iPod enabled head unit T1808
I've made an AppleCare adviser aware of the problem but I doubt that this information will ever make it to engineering so I don't have much hope that this will ever be fixed.
I would suggest that all 6th generation Nano users check it's compatibility with any third party interfaces they have and report their findings on this discussion board. Perhaps we can get Apple to FIX THIS SERIOUS PROBLEM.
    Apple are you listening??

  • IPod Nano 1st Gen not connecting to my computer

My friend's iPod Nano 1st Gen won't connect to my computer (i have previsily added songs to it since last month) and now my iTunes won't show that ipod on my devices lists (I did NOT update iTunes because of the problems other people were getting)..... it will charge on my computer but WON'T sync....... WHATS UP WITH THAT???
THANKS IN ADVANCE TO THOSE THAT HELP.

Could be any number of reasons.  One of them just may be your refusal to update iTunes.  Just because others are having issues does not mean you'll have them!

  • My new iPod nano replacement isn't syncing with all my songs...

Like the title say, my new iPod nano replacement isn't syncing with a number of my songs. They aparently aren't the correct format, however they range from imported CDs to purchased music from iTunes... They all appear to be the same 'kind'. Infact, it looks like none of my library has synced. What could be causing this? (The library worked on two different iPod touchs and the 1st gen iPod nano)
         Thanks guys!
-- I had an idea shortly after posting this to restore it to factory settings... It seems to have fixed it.

Theis is the iPod touch forum. I requested moderator move your post to the Nano forum.
BTW, my 7G Nano synces fine with my WIn 8 PC.

Yes.  There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync with one computer, iTunes library or account.

  • Ipod nano (1st gen) not charging/not showing up on computer or itunes

I recieved a 2GB ipod nano (1st gen) as a gift back in December 2005. It's worked fine until recently. Yesterday, I tried to charge my ipod. However, when I connected my ipod to my power adapter to charge it nothing happened. The charging symbol didn't even show on the screen. So then I tried plugging it in to my laptop computer. Same result: nothing happened and worse still, it didn't even show up on My Computer or in iTunes. I then tried connecting it to our regular computer. Same result as the laptop and still no charging icon. I tried my 2nd generation nano thinking that maybe something was wrong with the USB cable or with the power adapter but it worked fine with everything. I also tried another cable. But still nothing worked. I've tried the 5 R's thing but it didn't work. I even tried leaving my ipod alone for awhile to no result. Finally I tried putting it into Disk Mode and that's where it is now. I've tried to run through the steps again with this but it didn't work. So now it's in Disk Mode and it needs to be charged but I don't know how to do it. I'm starting to think that I just need to get the battery replaced. Unless someone else has a fix that will work?? Please help!!

It sounds like the port or cable is having a problem. First try a different cable.
If the cable doesn't fix things then try resetting the PMU (Power Management Unit) then see if the iPod will show up.
