IPod Nano 2ed Gen will not sync my songs.
I have recently bought a Saosin (Bonus Track) album for a single song. I got the song and am extremely happy, so as I'm about to go to town earlier today, I put my iPod in to sync and update my songs. (Also, I originally couldn't download the album because it required the latest iTunes, I downloaded it, installed it, rebooted my PC, and all was fine.) It says its syncing and just instantly stops. I check to see if my iPod software is all up to date, and it is. (2ed Gen Nano) I manually hit the sync button on the bottom right, and it says "The iPod "Trent's iPod" cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." I also noticed that the "Updating, do not disconnect" thing doesn't come up on my Nano as I've told it to update, and it originally has, so I'm even more confused.
I need help, I actually have a fair amount of new songs I need synced onto my iPod. Music is my passion, my iPod is with me at all times, not being able to update my new music onto my iPod is a bummer.

I've encountered the same problem as this recently, but unfortunately i haven't worked out how to fix it yet.
I tried to fit too many songs on my ipod nano from itunes, and it told me it would create a selection of these (titled my songs) and put them on the nano, which it did. I then went back onto itunes to delete some songs so that they would all fit on the nano. I also deleted the "my songs" playlist, knowing that all the songs were still stored under Music on itunes. When i tried to sync the nano it said that it couldn't be synced as the required disk cannot be found.
HELP, PLEASE!

My ipod nano 6th gen will not sync.
My ipod nano 6th gen will not sync. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes; I have reset the nano; I have used a different USB port and connector; I have rebooted my computer. Any suggestions?
I just did the same. Spent at least two hours trying different actions. Then uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. Also used a different USB port, etc. Also rebooted computer. No option for syncing is showing up on Itunes and when I run diagnostics it says there is no device detected- yet it is plugged into a USB port and the screen on the Nano says connected. HELP

IPod Nano (6th gen) will not sync.
Okay, I have an iPod Nano (6th generation) that won't sync. I've reset the iPod many times, uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, done all the suggestions given by the troubleshooting assistant, and still nothing. When I plug it in, it turns on and begins charging, but the computer doesn't do anything. It doesn't make a little sound, it doesn't say it recognized a device. It just does nothing. I'm not in a serious rush to fix this, but I recently got some new podcasts that I REALLY want to sync on there. Does anybody have suggestions? I seriously need help.

My ipod touch 3rd gen will not sync to pc.itunes file menu sync my ipod is greyed out
my ipod touch 3rd gen will not sync to pc.itunes file menu sync my ipod is greyed out.and i cant sync or put any new songs.please help me.
I've gotten the iPod to sync after restoring it and not changing ANY of the music sync settings. I didn't even click "sync music", I just have it on manual and clicked autofill.
After it synced all of the music successfully, I tried to sync a playlist (my recently added), and it's gone bonkers again, it won't sync the playlist's music, or any new music now. -
New ipod suffle 4th gen will not sync with cd import
my new ipod suffle 4th gen will not sync with cd import, through itunes, other computer has no itunes
I'm not sure how the "other computer" is relevant, but on the computer with iTunes, you probably need to update the iPod's settings for automatic syncing, or load the new songs from CD manually.
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. The shuffle appears in the sidebar, under DEVICES, when connected. Select it there. The shuffle's Summary screen is shown to the right. There is a checkbox for Manually manage music there. Is that setting currently checked or not checked?
If it is checked, your iPod is set to add and remove songs manually. It does not use automatic syncing to update content. This is how to manually add and remove songs from an iPod.
To add songs manually... Show a song list in iTunes. For example, select Music under LIBRARY in the sidebar, to show your main music library list. Drag a song from the song list to the iPod in the sidebar. You can do this with more than one song selected, such as the songs from that "CD import." Alternately, right-click on the selection and choose the command Add to Playlist -> [name of your iPod].
To remove songs manually... Click on the small triangle to the left of the iPod's name (in the sidebar) to drop down its content list, indented below the iPod. Click on Music there. The list of songs on the iPod is shown to the right. Select the song you want to remove and press Delete on the keyboard. You can do this with more than one song selected.
NOTE: If Manually manage music is currently not checked, your iPod is set to use automatic syncing. Please post back for info on setting up or updating the iPod's automatic sync settings. When automatic syncing is enabled, you make iTunes responsible for keeping your iPod "in sync" with your iTunes library. -
My Ipod nano 7th generation will not sync.
My Ipod nano 7th generation will not sync, I have updated itunes very recently. Everytime I try to sync anything, playlists, music, podcasts, or even photos from my computer, It does not sync. However before It syncs it tells me that I need to authorize my computer so that I can play purchased songs, so I log in with my apple ID and it says that the computer is now authorized but then when I press the sync button again the same message pops up over and over. Can anybody fix this?
Hello stowie10,
I would make sure that music is checked to sync, or any other data at that. Check out the following article to get the squared way with this setup.

My ipod nano 7th gen. will not advance to the next song, it will keep playing the current song until manually changed. All updates are current.
I had this issue with my 6th generation nano. It was driving me nuts, until I realized that somehow locked the repeat button on. Selecting one song rather than a selection will cause whatever song you have selected to play over and over and over and over..

Any suggestions I have not thought of?Just tried again after an hour and the situation seems to have resolved.

After Updating to IOS 5, My Ipod Touch 4th Gen will not Sync!!
I updated my Ipod Touch 4th Gen to the ne IOS yesterday, and as soon as I did, I ran into a BIG problem. It will not Sync up with my Apple content on my Itunes what-so ever. I cannot even install any of my Apps, download my music, nothing! I do not even know what to do at this point!
Contact a lawyer if you want to sue.
Otherwise try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
