That's likely the problem. The battery is shot and in need of a replacement. Apple can swap it out for you for a flat fee or you can send it to a third party service center to have them do the job as well for a little less.

Try deleting the temp files and then downloading iTunes again as described here:

When the window pops up asking if you want to run or save, choose save. Then run the installer after the save completes.

Yes, your battery is likely toast and in need of replacement. Not much else for troubleshooting here. Sorry.

Does the ipod nano 7th gen work with Belkin Blue tooth In car hands free? Customer support said it did when I bought it, but the box doesn't say it does and I dont want to open it in case I have to return it.
If the Belkin supports the A2DP (Stereo Bluetooth) profile then it will work.

If you do not find a solution in the iPod nano (6th generation) - User Guide, suggest that you call AppleCare if still under warranty or take a trip to your local Apple Store or AASP.

Yesterday I tried to play my ipod nano and nothing worked. It is on and the main screen comes up but none of the buttons will work. I charged it then went online and did the hold button back and forth trick and holding the menu and select button down but nothing makes it unfreeze. I can't play it in the car or anywhere. It just stays on with no buttons working. What can i do?

iPod nano's are not waterproof. It's almost certainly dead. Time for a trip to the Apple store to buy a replacement. Try and keep the new one dry!

I seem to recall that another user has this problem and found that it was because of some corrupted music files they were trying to sync over.
Try syncing smaller bunches of tracks till you come upon the ones that cause the error. You should be able to find out which ones are causing the trouble this way.
The other user said they used something called MP3Diags. I cannot vouch for this software at all, I have never used it.

As soon as I eject it from the computer it powers off and all i get is a black screen and nothing else. It will not power on at all? Try restoring the iPod to rule out a software problem. First restore from backup and then to factory defaults/new iPod.
Then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
