IPOD nano 4GB Sleeps and wakens on its own

Question

I have a nuciance problems hopefully someone can educate me on how to fix.
I have 60+ hours of audiobooks on my Ipod Nano 4GB which I listen to non-stop in my car using an iTrip connector.
The Ipod goes to sleep:
1. every 18-20 minutes of use
2. it always has 0.12 or 0.13 on the time left at the lower right of the window everytime
3. it stay asleep 40-50 seconds every time
4. it picks up exactly where it went to sleep!
During this sleep period the Ipod beeps when I try to use the keys but nothing happens and nothing changes when it awakens. I have found the best solution is to do nothing and let it awake on its own.
Any suggestions anyone? Thanks from a new user....

That's a new one (if you like to be the first at things, then congrats!). Uh, let's see.
1. After hitting play, turn the Hold switch on. Does that fix it?
Also, try Restoring the iPod.
