Ipod nano 4th generation won't sync required file not found!!!

I had my computer fixed and so I had redownload itunes again. All my my music got saved to a folder as a backup.Well when I downloaded it,I put all the songs on itunes and tried to sync my ipod to add new music. But,it kept saying it won't sync since required folder is not found.I've looked everywhere online to see what to do.I tried uninstalling everything and again multiple times. The same error kept popping up.I switched to Manually manage music to see if it fixed the problem but no.A different error "the song....could be copied error ..." I switched back to sync.Nothing worked!!I tried restoring but it took so long as if it couldn't work it out.Previously I had this same computer fixed and when I downloaded again itunes it worked perfectly fine until now.Can somebody please guide me what to do?I cannot afford a new one.

That can sometimes indicate a photo cache issue. If you remove the current ipod photo cache, does that get you past the error?

my ipod nano 4th generation won't download newer podcasts from itunes

If you use automatic syncing, select the iPod in iTunes.  There is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary).  Click on Podcasts there.  This is the Podcasts tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync podcasts.
Sync Podcasts is checkmarked for automatic syncing.  Below that, set up the Podcasts tab to sync podcasts as desired.  For example, you can set it to Automatically include all unplayed episodes of selected podcasts.  The "all unplayed" option gets new podcasts episodes to sync automatically. Select the podcasts below.
When you click Apply, your selection on the Podcasts tab (and the other tabs...  Music, Books, etc.) sync to the iPod.  If the iPod was NOT previously set to use automatic syncing, its existing content is replaced.

  • My ipod nano 5th generation won't sync. It says disc cannot be found.

My iPod nano 5th generation won't sync for some reason. It is almost like my PC is reading it as a regular mp3 player. I have to manually open itunes when I connect it.

The computer won't see them as the same iPod despite the name.
You might want to reload Windows on your computer or reinstall the USB root driver.

  • My ipod (nano, 6th generation) won't sync to a new computer with different stuff on it. It *appears* to sync but when it's done it still has the stuff from the other computer on it. What to do?

My ipod (nano, 6th generation) won't sync to a new computer with different stuff on it. Itunes on the new computer doesn't give the usual warning that you are about to lose all your existing stuff and the ipod *appears* to sync but when it's done it still has the stuff from the other computer on it. What to do?

  • Cannot Sync, Required file not found!

Plz help. I just updated itunes and now when i plug in my ipod, it wont sync,it says, "The ipod "name withheld's ipod" cannot sync. required file not found."

It's possible that the iPod Photo Cache folder on your computer, which is created from syncing photos to your iPod, is interfering with the syncing.
Try deleting the folder from your computer. See this for details:
Photo Sync creates iPod photo Cache
Then, try resyncing your iPod with your computer, and see if it is sucessful or not.

  • My ipod nano 7th generation won't sync ratings to itunes. What can I do?

    Hi,
I have an Ipod nano 7th generation bought about a month ago and usually has no problems.
I've been having an issue with it where it won't sync songs' ratings from the Nano to Itunes. My Ipod is set to manually manage Music and Video. And no ratings are added to the Itunes Music library when I press sync.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
    Thank-you.

This is literally driving me crazy.
I spend days, or more likely months rating my itunes library.
I was happy to get this new ipod as it would permit me to finish rating my songs, as I used to with my old ipods.
Its only about 3 weeks after buying this new ipod do i realize that it is randomly changing song ratings. It has therefore changed all the ratings i painstakingly had made. After trying many different ways to find out where the problem was coming from, I even did the drastic move of unrating all my songs, both on the ipod and itunes. Sure enough, when i plugged it back in to sync it, it was giving me new random ratings for about 40 songs, even though they had previously been totally blank.
I'm extremely surprised I can't find any information about this. This bug has killed all the work I had spent trying to organize my library, and leaves me feeling quite disgusted.
    edit:
There seems to be an all around problem with this new ipod. It isn't showing the play count for songs I know i listened to, and it's adding random songs in my top 25 most played that i never listened to.
An answer would be very nice.

  • IPod Nano 6th generation won't sync with iTunes.

I replaced the battery in my iPod Nano 6th generation and now it won't sync with iTunes. It shows in the list as iPod recognises that it is in recovery mode, so advises to restore. Press the restore button and after a time a message says can't find the iPod

do you ever unplug your iPod without ejecting it first?

  • My iPod nano 7th generation won't sync video

My iPod nano 7th generation will sync music but not video. I have updated iTunes and restored the iPod even gone into the Apple store and nothing has helped. How do I get around this problem???

Not all iTunes video can be transferred to iPod, If the video resolution or video bit rate beyond iPod limitation, you can't upload them to iPod. For example, some iTunes purchased movie are High definition movie, the resolution is too high to play on iPod. If the videos are in your iTunes, you can right-click the video to highlight it, and then select "Create iPod or iPhone Version". iTunes will automatically convert the video to iPod compatible format. When the conversion process has completed, sync the new version to your iPod. For more info, here is a guide about how to convert and transfer video to iPod nano. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.

  • Need Help ASAP! TV Show won't sync, required disc not found

I need some help!!! I am trying to sync a TV SHow to my iPod and I can't get it to work. For some reason in iTunes, I have to completely unplug and plug in my iPod anytime I want it to sync, pressing the sync button does not work, neither does pressing the apply button after checking the TV show that I want to sync. SInce I don't have to update any settings for music, this isn't a problem, I just unplug my iPod and plug it back in and it syncs automatically. The error message I get when trying to sync Shows, or videos or anything where you have to update is Can't sync iPod required disc not found. If someone could respond to this right away, I would appreciate it as we are going to be traveling today, and I would love to have something to watch during my four hour flight!

  • Ipod Touch 4th Generation won't sync- Help?

    Hi,
I have an iPod 4th Generation.
I understand that the iOS 6.1.3 software update is the most 'updated' this generation of iPod can be, but I have noticed that I am unable to sync with the itunes currently on my PC.
I have been using Pandora for music (being as I have no music on my iPod) but I would like to be able to get music on my ipod as to use it outside of my home.
I have not yet synced this iPod to the itunes on this PC, it would've been the first time had I not run into issues.
    Thank you for your help

What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
If the iPod was synced with another computer/iTunes library then yo can:
    - Sync only music and vidoe susing the manual method specified in the link above.
    - Make this copmuter/iTunes library your syncing computer in order you to sync al media to the iPod.

  • Ipod won't sync. File not found.

I got my iPod touch right after Christmas and it's been fine.
In the last week, however, it won't sync to my computer. When I plug it in and try, I get the following error: "The iPod "iPod touch" cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
    Please help!

  • My ipod nano(5th generation) won't sync or show up in itunes

i've been trying to sync my ipod but it won't do anything. i tried reinstalling itunes 4 times but that didn't help. i also tried a bunch of other things from the support page and that didn't help either.

If you connect it to the Mac with iTunes NOT running, and run Disk Utility, does it appear in the sidebar as a "disk"?  Also, you can run System Profiler or System Information (depending Mac OS X version).  It is in Applications/Utilities/, but you can also run it from the About This Mac window.  Does the shuffle appear as a device under USB?
The red light when you move the power switch to ON means very low charge in battery.  That probably means the battery is not getting charged when connected.  In terms of hardware, that could mean a bad USB port on Mac, a bad USB cable, or a bad connection on the shuffle.  In any case, power is not getting to the battery.  It might be a bad battery, but if that was the only problem, I think the shuffle would still appear in iTunes when connected.  That's why asked if it appeared in Disk Utility or System Profiler/Information; if it does, the connection is working (even though iTunes does not see it for some reason).
You can make sure the USB port is working by using something else that is similar (like a USB flash drive) on the same port.  If you happen to have another USB cable, you also try to rule out a bad cable.

  • My ipod nano (3rd generation) won't sync to my computer anymore. I share the computer with other family members and there ipod's sync fine to their iTunes, but mine won't work. How do I fix it? :)

    .

Why won't it sync anymore? Does iTunes still see the device? If so, are you getting any error message during the sync process?  Need a bit more detail in order to assist you.
