Hola, participé en el programa de sustitución de los primeros iPods y esta misma semana me ha llegado el nuevo, el de 6ª generación de 8gb, pero NO ME CARGA ni es detectado por el ordenador haga lo que haga no hay manera, como si no lo enchufara, estoy intentando que reaccione con un conector del iPod shuffle, por lo que debería de ir, y he probado en distintos ordenadores y enchufes, y ese mismo conector si detecta otros iPods.
¿Quiere decir que estoy de nuevo ante uno defectuoso?

How many it wil hold depends on the bit rate for the song and how long the song is.
In iTunes right click on one of the songs then left click on Get Info. You should be able to see the bit rate (128, 256, etc.), length of the song and file size.

I think the nano 4th gen. Comes with games but with the newer 6th generation out that no longer supports games, the games are no longer made

Ipod Nano to I touch 8GB

Is their a way to be able to make the I Touch my new main ipod on I tunes? I lost my Nano and bought the I Touch, I really don't want to lose any of my music games or videos. Any help would be appreciated.

You just need to connect your new iPod to your computer. If the songs and videos etc. you had on your previous iPod are still in iTunes they will load onto your new one. Follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like.

Yo creo que lo que tienes es ir al appstore (registrarte sino lo estas) y elegir el juego que quieras si prefieres gratis solo los buscas las top charts, luego a las top app gratis y listo!...espero que esto resuelva tu pregunta y sino suerte!!! 

Apple shipping upgraded ipod Nanos!

Wanted to report to everyone, that apple is starting to ship replacement iPod nano, however from serial numbers reported as shipped. Seems apple is upgrading model to current iPod nano, Got confirmation email with tracking number. Apples the best. Looked up serial and indeed this seems to be the case
Seems only first people to send them in got refurbished units.
Anyone else reported got similar confirmation email?

I too, was reluctant to send in my 1st gen Nano when an Express Support rep couldn't confirm what I'd get back: a refurbished 1st gen (someone else's)? My own refurbished 1st gen? A newer gen Nano? They also couldn't confirm that my orig memory size would be matched (4GB.) Didn't get a warm fuzzy about that, either.
But I figured, what did I have to lose? I was using a 7-yr-old Nano in my car...what's the worst that could happen? I sent mine in for replacement (via UPS packaging) the week after Christmas. I checked Repair Status tonight plus scheduled a call w/Express Support. The agent told me Apple purposely didn't say in the orig email what model customers might get back because they didn't know how deluged they would be with return 1st gen Nanos. He put me on hold, contacted 'dispatch' and came back with the good news that I am scheduled to receive a 6th gen Nano (new one!) via Fedex (also good news) sometime this coming week. He said they ran out of refurbished 1st gens and now are shipping new models. :-)
If it helps here was my timeline: Returned 1st gen Nano via UPS to Apple on 12/29; Repair Status on Apple site says it was received 1/11; was scheduled for shipping via Fedex last Thurs, 1/12. Fast turnaround! Thanks Apple!

it states
Set up the Nike + iPod Sport Kit on iPod nano:
1 Connect a Nike + iPod receiver to the dock connector on iPod nano.
2 On the Home screen, tap Settings.
3 Tap Fitness, and then tap Nike + iPod Sport Kit.
You see this option in Settings only when the receiver is connected to iPod nano.
4 Tap the accessory you want to set up (Sensor, Remote, or Heart Rate Monitor).
then I should be able to link up my HRM
I do not get the menu item Nike+ipod sports kit under fitness undersetup or anywhere else. I also do not see extras which I have read I always should have. not sure about that.
Thoughts on how to fix this?

How to free disk space on ipod nano 6th gen

Okay so I have 86 songs on my ipod nano 6th gen capacity 8GB and it says it's full. I've deleted a huge number of files from my itunes and also on my media folder. It did not reduce the disk space on my ipod. I presume that the 86 songs are taking up all the space on my ipod. Does this mean I'll have to unclick and unsync some of the tracks to make room for new songs?

I think you need to restore through iTunes to change an unknown password. Here is a link to the manual.

Can't find drivers for ipod nano 8GB for windows vista HELP

I am trying to find the drivers for my ipod nano 8GB. I am running Windows Vista on my laptop. I have tried absolutely everything listed on this webpage and others. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and still nothing. I downloaded usbstor.sys and usbstor.inf. I have gone into my computer and clicked on the ! next to my ipod in file manager and have gotten nowhere! This has been 5 days of frustration. I don't understand why apple would not just SUPPLY the software for the nano. I am beyond frustrated now. Can someone please help...

Something is going on with your Nano if Vista doesn't see it anymore. Did you use device manager and try to uninstall your Nano? Perhaps this will work. Once uninstalled, the next time you plug it in, Vista will see the Nano as a new device and install the proper USB drivers.

Why is it that i am unable to buy an ipod nano 16gb in germany? In the stores it is advertised however not available, the store only has the 8gb and I can't ship it here? Is it a case of not yet launched, patent infringement or apple just being annoying?

I am trying, thus far with no success, to buy an ipod nano 16gb here in Germany. However whilst the stores advertise it they don't have it in stock and can't tell when it will be. The german apple store only has the 8gb version. Should i try to order from a reseller then they will only post within the uk. iSo my question is - whats going on? Why are there no 16gb ipods to be (apparantly) had in Germany? Not launched yet? Patent infringement? Apple being very annoying?

One of the episodes that i had on my IPOD NANO 8GB was removed off when i put a new episode of that tv show that i bought and put it on my IPOD NANO 8GB. How do i get the first episode that i bought back on my Ipod Nano 8GB with the new episode on it?

Double check your iPod's sync settings from under it's TV Shows tab in iTunes. Make sure it is not set up to sync only unwatched episodes.

there is a good chance that this can be related to bad contact in USB lead.. e.g not enough power from IPOD to PC so that pc cannot recognise it. Where I work I get alot of USB devices on pc's that are not recognised and most of the time it is the connection to the device that is not good enough because the flat end of the USB adapter has been gradually bent over time just slightly and now contact is not good. It can also be todo with drivers or If you are using it through a USB hub.
so if it is not working through USB hub try direct. also try in back of PC as these Ports or direct access to main board to pc and would be less trouble some if there was a voltage loss from mainboard in pc to front of unit.

IPod Nano 8gb problems with iTunes/iMac

Bought a brand new iPod Nano 8gb last night. I am trying to use it on an iMac G4 1 gigahertz with OSX 10.4. This computer is not online. I downloaded itunes 7.0.1 from a neighbors computer and installed it on my imac and it seems to work fine. I can hook up the Nano to the iMac with no problem. Itunes recognizes the Nano and seems fine UNTIL I click anywhere in the itunes window woth the Nano plugged in, at which point itunes disappears from my screen. I can relaunch it, but the same thing happens again. Itunes works fine without the Nano plugged in, but not with the Nano.
I called Apple Support, and was told I HAVE to be online to use both itunes and the new Nano I am online at work on a PC, but don't have internet access at home. I have no desire to download songs online, or do anything else online at home, I just want to be able to put my own existing CD's on my Nano to listen to away from home.
Any ideas? Do I HAVE to be online to use iTunes 7 and the new Nano?

I guess I'd better clarify this for my own sake. By "update" are you referring to changing music, folders, artists, etc? In which case, I realize that I would need to update my Nano to reflect any changes I make to my music files. If by "update" you are referring to making a software or firmware change through an internet connection, then I would think this would be a rare occurrence that could be done at a friends computer.
The Apple "help" person on the phone said that I couldn't even USE my Nano without being online. Period. That the new Nano and new versions of iTunes REQUIRED an internet connection to function properly.
At the Apple authorized dealer where I bought the Nano, they said there is no need at all to be online, as long as I have the proper versions of everything (OS, iTunes, etc) installed, it should work fine, there is no need for an internet connection. (Unless I want to actually download songs, of course) They have burned a CD for me with the required updates they feel I will need, which I will install later this evening. Hopefully that will work.
It makes no sense to me that I would be REQUIRED to be connected to the internet in order for the Nano to simply be able to playback songs I have stored on my iMac, as I was told by the Apple help person the phone. He made NO effort to help at all, saying repeatedly that as long as I was not "online" with my iMac, the Nano and iTunes would not work, saying "What part of this don't you understand?"
Then he hung up.

HT1339 I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and need to restore to factory settings as want to sell it; however it will not reset and when plugged into my MAC it says firmware corrupt? CAn anyone shed light on what i can do to overcome this issue?

I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and am unable to restore it back to factory settings even when it is connected to my MAC. I have tried the menu/select hold but is not doing anything. When connected to the MAC and select restore in itunes it comes up with 'Firmware Corrupt'. It also states the IPOD is up to date. I have the latest operating system on my MAC and wonder if this may be part of the issue?
Can anyone shed light as to what i can do to reset it back to factory settings as would like to sell it and ensure it is ready for the new owner.
