IPod Nano dock connection

Does iPod Nano has a dock connection? I am still using iPod mini, wish I can use all my other accessories. Thanks Alex

Apple Universal dock & ipod Universal Dock will work with any iPods with dock connector slots.
I have found that all the dock-connecting accessories which I used with my iPod mini will work fine with the new 3G nano.
I suggest you visit <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300233> for more info.

As long as the dockings station has a headphones jack on it, you can attach speakers.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

Is there another way to charge iPod nano besides connecting it to computer?

There's various kinds of power adaptors available: for mains power from Apple and third parties, and for charging in a car from third parties. Plenty of options available to allow for shopping around.

have u used the CD that came with the iPod because that does a lot for helping with reconization of the iPod.
but your biggest problem is that your using a Pentium not mention Windows and Acer! are you that cheap???

• Ipod Nano Not connecting to Windows 8, Itunes

I am unable to get my Ipod Nano to connect to Itunes. My computer is operating with the newest versions of Windows 8 and Itunes. I have completed ALL the steps in the troubleshooting guide through Apple. I would like to use my Nano during the delivery of my son next week. I have looked for answers all over the internet, with no luck. Can anyone help? I see that many people have had the same issue. (My Ipad also did not work). Again, I have completed ALL of the troubleshooting items

Hello again, Pheobesmum.
Thanks for the update on your issue. Some users that have had the issue you're describing have found that removing and reinstalling iTunes has helped them with the issue. The following article provides the steps on how to do this:

• Can the new ipod nano be connected to a dock?

I recently just got the 7th gen Ipod Nano and I was wondering if it can go onto a dock and if it can be played out loud without a dock or headphones.?

Yes, buy the lightning-to-30-pin-adapter in an apple store. And Ipod nano does not have a built-in speaker, so it will not play out loud without a dock or headphones.

• Unusual iPod Nano Dock Connector

My iPod Nano 4GB Black (Second Generation) appears to have an unusual dock connector on the bottom. All the accessories that seem to be available have a wide connector on them bu the connector on my iPod Nano is very small.
Does anyone know why this is please?

where did you buy the "iPod"? To know if it really is an iPod, look on the back, it should have an Apple logo. Look for a serial number. Does it have a click wheel? Do you need to use iTunes to update it? Is the headphoone port to the right of the iPod Dock connector? If you answered "no" to any of these or the "iPod" in question does not look like others, you don't have an iPod. I suppose it would be possible for someone to put iPod software on a fake, but it would be hard because the iPod updaters are no longer available and the 2nd Generation Nano just used iTunes to update it, not another program. The cable you use to connect the device should be from Apple and should be white. The wide end that plugs into the iPod is called the "30 Pin Dock Connector" and should have a small rectangle with a line through it (both grey). The USB A end (the smaller one that plugs into your computer) should have the Apple logo and the USB symbol. There should be no printing on the cord. if the iPod in question does not resemble ANY of this, it's a counterfeit.

• My IPod nano 6 connects to my library but will not receive new music and playlists

My ipod 6th generation will not receive new songs and playlists from my library on my PC. My ipod shows up in the itunes library when I connect it. It syncs when it is plugged in to computer but the sync is very short. I changed to a new computer back in September 2013. My old one crashed. I have synced my ipad 2 and my iPhone 4S to itunes library on the new computer. All these devices show up in the "manage my devices" list except my ipod 6th generation. There is no "add device" to this itunes account, only an option to deauthorize the computer, the iPhone or the ipad.
The ipod downloaded songs that I added to my computer library on my new computer, but will not add new purchased songs nor library playlists.
My computer is shared with my husband. His user account on the same computer shows up in my "manage devices" section of my itunes account. He doesn't use it. I thought I had to add my itunes on his part of the computer because his is the "main user".
I'm not sure what to do. Should I take my computer, iPhone, ipad and nano to an appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I kept working at this after posting. On the sync page for the ipod on itunes library I chose to remove the iPods association with my old computer. It erased all the old content from the old computer and then put all my checked songs from the new computer on my iPod nano.

• My computer & itunes won't recognize my ipod nano is connected

So my brother got an ipod nano, the the original version with only the colored front panel or whatever, and then I got am ipod nano, the second or newer version and we run them off of the same computer. Well his is no loger in use since it went through the washing machine, anyways I tried to import a cd on my itunes, it worked but itunes wouldn't let me sync (or whatever its called) the songs onto the ipod. So I went back to some little fold up booklet that came with the ipod and it said to put songs from a cd onto your ipod that you have to click on ipod under devices. but the only thing that shows up under devices is the cd that i'm importing not the ipod even though it's connected it also said was that when you plug your ipod into itunes it will show automatically come up. it doesn't. the ipod only charges. so it could be many different things: 1. my itunes isn't compatible with the newer version ipod. 2. it could be my computer. although its only 3 years old and its a Windows XP or 3. its just the ipod. The ipod nano works completely normal, no problems. This is the first time i've ever tried putting on songs from a cd before. I also tried uninstalling itunes from my computer and then re-installing to see if the newer version ipod nano would work by itself. but that didn't work either. under file, edit, options, or something (one of the headings) I went to preferences and clicked on ipod and it said "not connected" but it was. I have no idea what's wrong. i only have 18 songs so far on it too so it's not overused or anything. I also forgot to mention that I installed itunes from the disc that came with my ipod nano, not from this website. at this point in time i don't have itunes installed on my computer because there's really no point. If anyone understands my really confusing issue, help me!! Simplified: My computer doesn't recognize that my ipod nano is plugged in and I've tried two different USB cables so that's not it.

• Ipod Nano not connecting to PC

I am having trouble getting my ipod to connect with my PC.
It has worked previously, as i have transfered 3gb of songs to my Ipod Nano so far.
However now when i try to connect my Ipod to my computer, i plug it in, and nothing happens. I can play with my ipod, there is no "Do not Disconnect" symbol appearing.
However, if i actually bend down the plastic part of the connector side to my ipod, so that it is kind of a 10° angle to my ipod (thus bending the connection isnide my ipod i guess) it reconises it.. Do Not Disconnect appears and it appears on itunes.
However i dont want to be constantly bending the connector down so that i can transfer songs, beacuse not only is it inconvenient, but it can't be good for my ipod.
I have no idea why its doing this, I have reset my ipod, re-installed, updated ipod software, tried different ports, i also tried my mates ipod lead to see if it was mine that was faulty. this didnt help, same problem.
I understand i can send it in for a service, but wasn't sure if this would come under servicable conditions?
Would appreciate some help that doesn't require sending my ipod away, but if there is no other choice, then i guess ill have to.
Thanks in advance

It's woorking!
Ok, after some 40 hours trying to figure out what was wrong in my case, I think I might have found the problem. The newest ipod software (I think) requires USB 2.0. I have a Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop running Windows XP Pro SP2. There are several USB ports: 2 in the front and 4 in the back. One of the first things I did was go to the device manager and check whether I had USB 2.0. Indeed, there was a USB 2.0 Enhanced Host Controller. All the problems I encountered were the same whether I used the two ports on the front or the two lower ports on the back. I went to the store for the second time ready to turn in my ipod nano and try to get my money back, but they told me that my computer didn't have a USB 2.0 port and that was the reason I was having trouble. They made me buy a USB 2.0 PCI card and sent me home. Before I proceeded to install the card, I carefully revised my ports. That's when I realized I had a printer connected to another USB port, ánd because of that I didn't notice I had two extra USB ports that carried that funny symbol you will find on the USB ipod connector. I hadn't tried the ipod on the port the printer was connected to, neither on the one next to it. I hooked my ipod to the ipod-virgin port and it worked! Finally! itunes recognized my ipod and I was able to upload songs and all. I didn't realize that even if you have one or two 2.0 USB ports, the others aren't necessarily 2.0 (on the device manager there were other host controllers that were not "Enhanced"). I guess this is what happened. I can't come up with any other explanation.

I'd like to connect my iPod Nano 7th gen. with my Bose SoundLink Mini & be able to listen to the radio. How, if possible, can I do that?

• Windows 7 doesn't awaken with Ipod Nano 5G connected

Brand new HP computer w/Windows 7 and brand new Ipod Nano 5G. Left ipod connected to computer to charge. After computer powered down it would not restart. HP figured out that the Ipod was blocking the restart. If I unplug Ipod computer restarts fine. Anyone else finding this problem?

I had the same issue with my 5g video awhile back. The computer wouldn't boot with the ipod connected as it was recognizing it as a HD and looking for an OS to load from it.
I solved the problem by going into my BIOS and removing "boot from removable media" from the boot list. I'd give that shot, though not all BIOSs have that as a change able option independently.
-edit-
The specific computer I was having an issue on with this was an HP pavilion a1340n, but the BIOS I had installed was a custom cough*hacked*cough version I was using to install Vista and later 7.
