I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

My ipod is not switching on. even if it does it displays "www.apple.com/support/ipod" and i also hear weird sounds from it .

Try restoring your iPod by plugging it into your computer. It shoud work in most cases, however if it does not, take it to the Apple Store and the geniuses there should be able to fix it up for you.

Double click the Home button and swipe your finger to the right. On the very far left side is a arrow going in a circle. Make sure this is no padlock inside of this circle. If there is, tap the icon once to disable the orientation lock.

• Ipod nano not recognized by itunes and won't charge

Ipod nano is about 3 months old, worked fine before with itunes, but now ipod doesn't start itunes, doesn't show up in finder, and doesn't charge.
I have switched usb ports, reset the ipod, downloaded itunes 6. I downloaded ipod update, but computer doesn't recognize ipod so it isn't updated. I tried "restore", but again not recognized. I tried Isync but it can't find ipod.
Do I need a new cable that attaches ipod to computer?

Hello,
The cord might be the case, but first, try these suggestions:
Try putting your iPod into disk mode, then try connecting it to your computer again...
<a href="How to put your iPod into disk mode
Do you have a wall charger? If so, then try connecting your iPod to that, and does it charge, or not?
Have you checked this link out?:
iPod doesn't charge correctly
Does your iPod appear in "My Computer"? If so...
iPod shows up in Windows but not in iTunes
If not...
iPod missing in "My Computer" or in iTunes
Post back on what happens when you try these things out. I hope this helps!

• 2nd generation Ipod nano not syncing?

My 2nd generation Ipod nano won't sync up with my Itunes library anymore after updating to Mountain Lion and the latest version of Itunes. I plug it into the USB port on the laptop and the Ipod beeps and seems to be getting charged by the laptop but no sign of connectivity on Itunes. I've also got an Ipod shuffle that I used just earlier today and it seemed to work fine with the same set up. I'd like to switch back to using the Nano though and it seems to work fine other than Itunes not recognizing it now. I know it's old but if it seems to work fine and i'd like to keep using it if I can sync it up. Early 2011 15" Macbook Pro OSX 10.8.2.

I have unfortuantly had the exact same problem following my update to iTunes 11.
Incase someone explains the problem for me and not you, here is the link to my post. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4755057
Best of luck getting it to work!

• IPod Nano not being read...

Well, i have 2 computers and one is a Laptop, and when i logged in on my account and bought a song, it said if i wanted to Authorize this computer. I said yes, and plugged my Nano into it. I put a few songs on and it worked. I took it out, and now, when i try to plug it in again, it says on the lil message bar at the bottom that it is an unknown device. And it doesn't show on the side of iTunes.

Ipod nano, 1st generation, is not detected ANYWHERE - not in itunes, my computer. I bought a new USB cord and it didn't help. The weird thing is I can charge the ipod on my car/cigarette lighter charger.
I have tried resetting, putting it in disk mode, toggling the hold switch repeatedly, reinstalling itunes after updating it...WHAT IS GOING ON?

• HT1320 my apple ipod nano not able to on

i am using ipod nano now its unable to switch on the ipod its no operations

Hey there Phildo1980,
It sounds like your brand new iPod is either seen in iTunes but gives an error that it cannot be identified, or that it doesnt show up at all in iTunes at all. That can be pretty frustrating, so I have some articles that should help you out here:
If the former, I would recommend the troubleshooting in this article, named:
iOS: Device detected but not identified properly on iTunes for Windows
If that is not the case and it doesnt show in iTunes at all, then I would recommend either of these articles depending on your operating system.
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X
Or
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Sterling
