Ipod nano or shuffle for gym?? Difference?

Hey all.
I have a 60 gig ipod which I LOVE and use for travel and long trips. BUT i was just about to get a shuffle for the gym...as working out with the 60 gig can get in the way sometimes. Now that the Nano has come out though its a tough one. Which would you prefer and why? Can I randomly load songs on the nano like the shuffle? I don't need the full features of a regular ipod...so I don't know if the nano is overkill.

the mobiblu dah-1500i is not that cool. no way its cooler than a nano. maybe cooler than the shuffle.
after using a mobiblu for a couple of days here are some cons...
buttons really feel cheap and are not easy to use
screen is too short. titles scroll and that takes a long time to read
interface is pretty bad. song navigation is a nightmare. its like using windows file manager without a mouse
reading song titles while navigating is a pain.
sound quality is just awful. we compared it side by side with a shuffle, mini and regular ipod. sound level is substantially lower and flatter. need to use all the weird effects to make it sound decent.
thickness. the mobiblu volume is great. nice and small. instead of making it a cube, why not make it 3 times as long and 1/3 as thick?
proprietary cable to charge and connect. i ipod has the same problem i guess with the dock connector. but at least there are tons of people making that cable. lose your mobiblu connector and you are hosed.
so, interface lousy, sound quality lousy, too thick, buttons no good, not a real color display... yeah, its cooler than the nano. (sarcasm)

IKR! But u an order a connector that can plug nto any old speakers and then connect to your charger port and it will play music!

I see no disclaimer on the Apple site that says you can't combine today's sale price with other other discounts. However, you have to ask Apple for sure.

No, you have to send the iPod into Apple in exchange for a 6G Nano. See this page for more information.

Dont buy this model again, this is the most common problem and i have gone through 4 of these 6th gen nanos all with the same problem. You can find youtube videos that show you how to fix it yourself but you run the risk of breaking your ipod, also opening the ipod voids any warrently.

My Ipod Nano quit shuffling on its own.

I have an IPod Nano version 1.0.3 PC. It has quit shuffling on it's own accord. I have to manually tell it next. Any ideas?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

1st generation ipod nano's shuffle feature stoped working

my 1st generation ipod nano has a shuffle feature, but now it doesnt work. when i turn on the shuffle feature and try to play all songs it only plays the one song you select to be the first song in the shuffle order. when i pick a list of songs it only plays the first song and says in the top corner: song "1 of 1" as if there were no other songs. please help me or else im getting rid of my ipod and not using apple technology ever again.

IPod Nano just froze for apparently no reason

I have never once had a problem with my iPod Nano. I've never dropped it, scratched it or done any damage to it what so ever. (I've had it for about 3 months now)
Just a few minutes ago I was listening to some songs on it. I hit the pause button and sifted through songs until I found what I wanted to listen to. I hit the pause button again to play the song and nothing happened. So I tried a different song and as I was sifting through to that song I noticed that the images that usually show the album artwork weren't showing up, just empty boxes. Then finally all the buttons stopped working.
I tried holding down the menu and select buttons but that didn't work.
I plugged it into my computer but iTunes didn't recognize it. I clicked on "My Computer" to see if it recognized it and I couldn't even get My Computer to open. It also froze. So then I unplugged my iPod Nano and My Computer opened up easily. So even though neither my iTunes software nor my My Computer actually show recognition on the screen, it seems to effect my computer when I plug the iPod Nano in.
I can't make any sense out of it. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks!

iPod Nano 2GB Windows XP Only 86 songs loaded so I don't think it's overloaded.

I am having a similar problem. Twice now the screen has frozen - I can't scroll, or even turn it off. It does not dim. Once the battery wears down then I can plug it in and it will work again. Any ideas?

TS1382 i have my ipod nano 2nd generation for about 4 years then my friend stole it and gave it back 2 years later which was about 3 years ago. i havnt used it since and now it wont turn on.

i just want to know how to get it to start working again.

You would have to buy a new battery like this:

The replacement battery above also includes some tools although you should have a small screwdriver. After that you should be good to go.

Ipod nano only runs for 45 minutes on a full charge.

I have TWO brand new ipod nanos (I teach group exercise and so I need them for class). I will charge both of them all the way and turn them off completly. At the start of class I will turn one of them on. 45 minutes into it, it will be out of juice. This happens with both of the ipods, so I know it's not an issue of defectiveness. Is there something I am doing wrong????

Can i swap my Ipod nano 6th gen for an ipod touch?

My iPod nano power button has jammed for the 2nd time! and i know its not my fault because i take very well care of it, but it has happened again and it is less than a year old. (Swapped it last April) and so i was wondering if this time i could get a discount on an ipod touch instead of getting the same ipod once more and just having it brake again.
