Ipod nano recognized by My PC but not by I-tunes 7

I had upgrade to I-Tunes 7 and My Ipod Nano is recognized by My Computer but isn´t recognized by I-Tunes, somebody help me please. I already reinstalled USB drivers nothing happened. I already selected the manual Terminal Services and nothing happened. H E L P !!!!

I also have the same problem. When i put the music in the itunes library it moves all the music to the top of the page. I have try ro fix it more the once.

My iPod nano is recognized under My Computer but not in iTunes.
I formaatted the iPod nano as FAT32 using the format option when right-clicking on the drive in My Computer.
I installed the latest version of iTunes software. I adopted the five R's approach to resolve my issue. I have wanted to restore the iPod but this option is not available in iTunes, since the iPod is not recognised by the software.
The iPod diagnostics option in iTunes indicates the following:

TS1369 Ipod is recognized by my computer but not iTunes

When i plug my ipod into my computer i can not find it on itunes. when i go to whats on "This PC" it shows up there; just like when you plug in a jump drive, but not on iTunes. How do i fix this??

IPod Nano 7 Gen is detected but not identified by iTunes on HP Windows 8

I own an iPod Nano 7 Gen and an HP computer with Windows 8. Ever since I installed the iTunes update back in November of 2014 my iPod has not functioned with iTunes. Whenever I plug it into my computer I receive an error message that reads "An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again. If the problem persist uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again." I have done all that the alert message has told me and even restarted my iPod. Has anyone found a simple solution to this problem?

To troubleshoot this issue where you're getting the error "An iPod has been detected but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again," please follow the directions in the article below. There are some more steps to go through in addition to uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.

My new ipod nano appears on my desktop but not in iTunes

Initially the setup of the iPod nano work perfectly on the iMac, it came up in iTunes and synced everything without a problem. I then plugged it into my Macbook Pro just to charge it and it came up in iTunes yet I never synced it.
Later I went to sync music onto the nano from the iMac and it is appearing on my desktop, not in iTunes. I have tried reseting the computer, changing USB ports, restting the iPod and nothing has worked. What should I do??

You need to put your iPod into Forced Disk Mode and restore it using iTunes.
Try resetting your iPod by following these steps:
1. toggle to hold switch on and then off again
2. press the Menu and Center/Select buttons together until the screen goes black (should take no longer then 30 seconds)
3. as soon as you see the Apple logo let up on the buttons and press down the Center/Select and Play/Pause buttons until a checkmark appears on the screen.
4. connect your iPod to your computer and restore thru iTunes

I just had my iPod mini replaced. When i connected it to my computer, it said "New Hardware Found" and recognized the iPod as an iPod. However, when I went into iTunes, it wasn't there, and the iPod Software Updater is up-to-date and says, "no ipod connected."
Apple just replaced my last ipod for the same reason. This one is new and the same thing is happening.
Did this happen to anyone else? If so, how did you fix it?

Ipod nano shows in my computer but not ITunes

I have a windows xp and I have some Ipod 4s that i want to reset them and sell them. Whenever I connect either of the 3 of them, they all go on a dim screen that says 'do not dissconnect' and I can't do anything on them. If i go to my computer and eject them then I can go through the ipod but it still won't show up in ITunes. It will charge fine, that is no problem, I just can't get it to show up on itunes... Hello, friend. You may try these steps.
1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

IPod classic recognized in 'my computer' but not in iTunes

This has been going on for about a year and I've been able to fix it (but now I can't remember how) but now nothing will work. I connect it and this message pops up and asks 'Do you want to scan and fix iPod?' and I click 'continue without scanning' (because clicking scan and fix does nothing) and then my iTunes freezes. I don't know what to do!

Next time you plug your iPod in, ignore the Scan and Fix message. Click the Start Menu and type "cmd" into the search bar. Then click on the appropriate Command Prompt application that appears in the results.
Then inside the command prompt type chkdsk [driveletter]: /f and then hit Enter. So if you iPod's drive letter was g you would type chkdsk g: /f.
This should resolve the issue of the scan and fix prompt.

6th gen ipod nano works in docking station but not out of it

My ipod nanoworks in the docking station and connects to the PC but when i remove it from a power source the screen is blank. Any ideas?

So the iPod only powers on when connected to an external power source such as a USB port on your PC or Mac, a docking station, or when connected to a wall charger? If so, that is a very good indication that your iPod's battery is shot and in need of replacement.

If I go from 'Devices' to Summary and then Music, I only get one option-Sync Music,There is a box on this page but the options within it are grayed out. If I tick the Sync Music option I get this message-
'Are you sure you want to remove existing music,films,ect, from this ipod and sync with this itunes library?
'Music synced to (my ipods name) from other itunes libraries will be removed and items will be synced from this itunes library' I have only ever used itunes on this PC and the 'Manually manage music and videos' is ticked but

It sounds like you have done some great troubleshooting for your iPod nano that is not responding. In this situation, if resetting it did not resolve, I would suggest restoring the iPod back to its factory settings and then sync your content back onto it from iTunes. Ipod nano (both 6th and 7th gen) not recognized by itunes

Ipod nano (both 6th and 7th gen) not recognized by itunes. Before you send me to the help pages, i have followed EVERY STEP you provided, from uninstalling, removing temp files... you name it. I was recently upgraded to windows 8.1.

For anyone else having this problem, I found this solution to work. Try this first:
a) Get Windows to restart the drivers:
    - disconnect your USB device and close ITunes
    - connect your USB device
    - if ITunes loads, close it.
b) File explorer:
Open File explorer and browse to
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
In that folder there should be a set of files named "usbaapl64...."
right click on the one ending in "INF"
Select Install. It's very quick.
remove the USB device
c) Restart the computer.
When you login again, load ITunes before you attach your USB device.
d)If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job.
f) If still not works, try re-install iTunes. Go into the Unstall Programs (in Control Panel) and uninstall everything that says Apple, and uninstall Bonjour. With the fresh install of iTunes, everything came back and is should work. Hope it helps.
