IPod Nano skips album selection, not showing some songs

Hello,
recently I tried to use my ipod with winamp since it offers support for ipod, but since then, when I select any artist with an album and singles it ignores the singles, skipping directly to the songs in the album, and I really can't listen to that singles through the "artist>album>song" selection, but patiently I can find then togheter with all the other songs, by selecting directly "songs>all" in the menu...
How may I fix this?
thanks a lot!

  • Artist Album info not showing some songs

I have a 30g fifth gen iPod, with about 4800 songs on it, running iTunes 6.0.5.20 on Windows XP SP2.
When I first got it, a lot of my files had bad data, so I cleared out all the info except for the Artist and Track, and then manually corrected all the data to make it work. What this means, is all of my songs previously didn't have any album info, and when I'd go to the Artists menu and select one, it would go to a list of albums where "All >" was the only option, and then that would display all of the songs for that artist.
Recently, I bought a few new CDs and I was ripping them to put them on my iPod, and now all the other songs that I had from those artists before won't show up under the Artist section, because it skips straight to the CD I put on rather than giving me a list of albums to choose from.
I know it's not a problem with my tags, because they all worked fine before I put these new albums on there.
Am I gonna be forced to include "dummy" album info in some songs?

The iPod's screen indicates that the iPod is connected?
In Windows, the iPod will not appear as removable storage, unless it is set in iTunes to Enable disk use.  By default, it is NOT set to Enable disk use.
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  When the iPod is connected, it should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  It does not appear there?

  • Why's my iPod Nano, 5th Generation, 8GB not showing the right album covers?

Today, this morning, my iPod was fine. I added 2 new songs today and now it's gone all weird. If I go into my albums in a list all the covers are fine and dandy, no issue. But if I go into the side-scrolling menu everything's jumbled. I've got Britney Spears album 'In The Zone' on my iPod and that album cover, or a distorted version of it, now seems to have invaded way over half of my iPod! I don't understand why or how to fix it. I deleted the 2 songs I added today thinking they might somehow be jumbling it up but they're not. Everything else on iTunes seems to be fine. Please help!

*I have restarted* it about a hundred times. I've tried re-uploading the old album artwork to a few of the affected albums and that makes no difference either it still stays distorted Britney instead. It's so frustrating I took hours getting all the right album covers and now it's all messed up
Restarted your computer? Have you tried _resetting the iPod Nano?_

Delete those 2 songs from the iPod. If your artwork returns to normal, then those 2 songs somehow corrupted your iPod artwork. Download the 2 songs from somewhere else & re-enter into your iPod.

  • Spotify not showing some songs

My Spotify app on iPhone 4s is not showing my songs that have numbers in front of them such as 1Train, but all other songs are there. In the place of those songs there is just a black box. The only things I've tried are restarting my phone, re-adding the songs, and deleting and re-installing the app. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem with my 60GB. The couple songs that have an album listed show up, but none of the songs by the same artist that don't have an album listed. It just skips right past those to the album list, without the 'All' option. I can get to the songs with no album spec'ed through the Music...Songs...menus, but I always browse by Artist. Now it seems I can't. Anyone have any ideas?

As you connect your ipod to iTunes, an option in the upper right of the screen will appear. When you click this, it will show the different menu for your ipod.

  • My iPod nano and iPad are not showing on iTunes

Hi, I have an iPod nano 6g and an iPad that were working just finr a couple of days ago. Now my iTuns is not recognizing either of them ! I tried every solution possible in the Support section but nothing worked.
The thing I noticed while trying to fix this issue is that the "Apple Mobile Device Driver" in the Device Manager has a yellow triangle next to it. In this mode almost nothing happens when I plug in the iPod besides the ring tone, it does not appear neither in the iTunes nor in My computer. And nothing happens in my iPod itself as it doesn't show the "connecting" screen
When I choose "Update the driver" and I let it update automatically, it's title change from "Apple Mobile Device Driver" to "USB Mass Storage Device" and it will show a yellow mark too as soon as I oppen the iTunes. The iPod starts showing in My computer and the "connecting" screen appears in the iPod but my iTunes shows me this message:
And then automatically the "disconnecting" screen shows on my iPod.
When trying to change back to "Apple Mobile Device Driver" my windows tells that the driver is not digitally signed.
But even if I chose it it will go back to the state where my iPod will not show on my computer
The iPad however is not showing any sign of activity whatsoever, its almost like I didn't plug anything if not for the ring tone. It doesn't even show up on the Device manager !
I tried compleately removing then reinstalling iTunes several time but it didn't solve the issue. I Also tried dissabling all other programes to look for conflicts but that didn't help either :l

I tried every solution possible in the Support section but nothing worked.
    Including the following?
iPod: Does not appear in Windows or iTunes and Device Manager is empty
iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows

  • IPod not showing some songs on it

    Ok...
Lets say I have a bunch of songs by a band called Rehab... All the ID3 tag info is filled out about them... Artist name, song name, Album, Song track, etc etc...
Well there's a few Rehab songs that I don't have the Album field filled in.. It's just blank, indicating there's no CD it was released on.... The other songs are tagged as being from the CD "Graffiti the World"
I go into my iPod --> Music --> Artists --> Rehab .... ***.. It goes straight into "Graffiti the World." All the songs that don't have an Album tag on them aren't even showing up... There's no ALL > button or anything.. It just shows the songs from the CD "Graffiti the World" and not the other ones I don't have filled in...
It's the case for other Artists to, that I only have as having one CD and non-marked songs.. It seems as if I have to have at least two different albums marked in the ID3 tags for the artist just for it to give me the ALL > button/menu... Any clue?
Below is a link to what my iTunes looks like...

I'm about to do that, but I would prefer not ya know? This should be one of the things that's either solved in an update or solved before releasing the product...
Didn't know if an update fixed it or not, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the problem or knew a true fix to it..
    Thanks for the quick reply.

  • IPod Nano 2ed Gen will not sync my songs.

I have recently bought a Saosin (Bonus Track) album for a single song. I got the song and am extremely happy, so as I'm about to go to town earlier today, I put my iPod in to sync and update my songs. (Also, I originally couldn't download the album because it required the latest iTunes, I downloaded it, installed it, rebooted my PC, and all was fine.) It says its syncing and just instantly stops. I check to see if my iPod software is all up to date, and it is. (2ed Gen Nano) I manually hit the sync button on the bottom right, and it says "The iPod "Trent's iPod" cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." I also noticed that the "Updating, do not disconnect" thing doesn't come up on my Nano as I've told it to update, and it originally has, so I'm even more confused.
I need help, I actually have a fair amount of new songs I need synced onto my iPod. Music is my passion, my iPod is with me at all times, not being able to update my new music onto my iPod is a bummer.

I've encountered the same problem as this recently, but unfortunately i haven't worked out how to fix it yet.
I tried to fit too many songs on my ipod nano from itunes, and it told me it would create a selection of these (titled my songs) and put them on the nano, which it did. I then went back onto itunes to delete some songs so that they would all fit on the nano. I also deleted the "my songs" playlist, knowing that all the songs were still stored under Music on itunes. When i tried to sync the nano it said that it couldn't be synced as the required disk cannot be found.
    HELP, PLEASE!

  • Ipod not showing some songs

so i got a 30 gig ipod today and loaded all my music through itunes. i'm starting to notice that for certain artists i'm not able to access all of the music i've loaded. it appears that if i only have music from one album loaded for a given artist, the ipod automatically takes me to that album view when i select the artist. the problem is if i have other tracks for that artist for which i haven't specified an album, it still skips directly to that album view. so the other tracks are effectively hidden. if i browse the ipod through itunes, i can see that these tracks are actually loaded. is anyone else having this problem?

I'm having the same problem with my 60GB. The couple songs that have an album listed show up, but none of the songs by the same artist that don't have an album listed. • Ipod nano's nike+ kit not showing any of my workout other than in the hist.

My nike+ kit does everythign. But when i want to see my last workout it doesnt show it. But when i check the history on my IPOD it shows it there. When i connect it to Itunes it doesnt load the workout. I've only done wone workout so far. But I am wondering why it is so. It doesnt show it on my itunes in the preferences or even on the nike website where i have an account. Does anyhone know how to fix this??

When I plug my Nano into iTunes and select the icon of the iPod on the lower right side, the choices come up. I checked the "send to Nike+ immediately" box. The next time I plug in, there is a message saying the workout has been send directly to the Nike+ site and asks if you want to visit the site. I have set goals on the site and can compare the distances I walk during a month. Hope this helps.

  • Ipod does not show my songs, neither does Itunes but says there is 10gigs

My ipod or my itunes does not show my songs, but they both say i have 10 gigs on the ipod.. any ideas what is going wrong and how i can fix it?

Try restoring your iPod. Just be aware that restoring will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings, so if you have songs on your iPod that aren't on iTunes you will lose them if you have no back up. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions and it should connect to iTunes and give you a prompt to automatically update your library onto the fresh installation. If you want to update manually or using selected playlists choose no and it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes 7

  • Videos in some iPhotos Albums do not show up on Apple TV.

Videos in some iPhotos Albums do not show up on Apple TV. Videos in other folders are there. For instance, one album has 43 videos and 1600 photos. Apple TV only shows the 1600 photos. Is there an issue with albums that have both photos and videos?

You can only view that rental on the iPad. For it to show up it has to be rented directly on ATV or through a computer and streamed via home sharing
