  • Itunes Store and Help not working + Ipod not backing up

    Hey everyone,
Its been like this for about a month or two...
I click on itunes store and it opens but gets halfway and never loads any further. Ive tried everything you can imagine. Proxy servers, uninstall and install, etc.
    PLUS!
My ipod touch isnt backing up. It too also gets half way then stops. Then when i try to sync it it does everything but backs up then at the end says "Itunes could not back up the ipod because a session could not be started with the ipod"
so i went in and deleted all my backups till the most recent one, tried again and no luck.
    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!! :'(

It will take a couple of days for the artwork to show up. However in you case the URL to your artwork or the filename may be wrong.
You have a URL of http://www.hopecbc.org/imagefiles/podcast.png listed. I get a 404 error when I try to pull it up in a web browser. Same thing with the URLs to your MP3 files.
Looking at your website and checking the resources page that lists the sermons for downloads the URL's look to actually have upper and lowercase letters in them, while the urls in your XML do not. Your server is case sensitive, so
    http://www.hopecbc.org/mp3files/sermons/hebrews/082607amgodfreyhebrews11.mp3
which is in your XML is different from
    http://www.hopecbc.org/mp3Files/Sermons/Hebrews/082607amgodfreyhebrews11.mp3
which seems to be the correct url.
Correct them and it will probably work...

  • Refurb iPod-wont restore apps purchased on original iPod&not backed on comp

I recently exchanged my iPod touch 64gb 3rd gen at an apple store. The refurb they gave me was obviously blank when I got it, & thus I has to sync the iPod with iTunes on my comp before I could do
anythng else...you know the drill. The problem is that I had bought several apps from my iPod thru wifi and had not synced it to iTunes/my computer for a while now. So when I synced up my refurb iPod to my comp for the first time I only had some of my apps available to sync from my comp.
My question is am I screwed because I didn't sync those apps i downloaded from my iPod only, or do I have some easier option? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

log into the app store go into settings look at your bill/history even the free apps you downloaded will be there then you can re download them one at a time yes it ***** but you will get them back and you will not have to pay for any apps you have already purchased

  • How do I recover photos that were NOT backed up from ipod touch 4th generation?

I have a iPod Touch (4TH Genration). It was frozen for two days straight on the apple logo. I kept holding the two keys and tried to connect it to itunes and it wouldn't budge. On the third day I conected it to itunes, and it told me that it nedded to be restored and that my photos would be backed up. Now here I am with a funny acting ipod and NO photos!
Does anyone know how to get photos that were not backed up?

  • IPod Touch 2.1 Not Backing Up

I have a first generation 8GB iPod Touch running the latest firmware 2.1. I decided to test Apple's claims for "faster backups" and so I decided to manually back up by right clicking on my iPod in the iTunes sidebar and click "Back Up." However, when I click that, it gives me an error saying, "iTunes could not back up the iPod 'My iPod's Name' because the iPod disconnected." Does anyone else have this problem? I rebooted my iPod several times and restarted iTunes several times but I can't seem to find the answer. My iPod is still in the iTunes sidebar when this error comes up so iTunes clearly can recognize that my iPod's connected.

    Jason,
I do have the latest version of iTunes and it seems like my 2.1 software was buggy. So I deleted it and downloaded another copy of the firmware. That did it for me.
By the way, you didn't happen to call my house did you? I was at school and my mom picked up saying a person named Jason called mentioning something about my wifi not working or something along those lines. And I don't remember calling or emailing Apple regarding a problem. I'm not sure that you are able to call me like that but if you did please say so. She's worried that someone's trying to scam me to send my iPod to "Apple" when it might be someone else impersonating Apple.
    Thanks for the help.

If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
    Good luck.

  • Hard drive on my MacBook, iTunes was not backed up. Purchases were recovered, but missing music is trapped on other devices (iPad, iPod & iPhone). Is there a way to transfer music from these devices (esp. iPhone & iPad) to MacBook?

I had to replace my hard drive on my MacBook and iTunes was not backed up. All of our purchases were recovered, but we are missing music that we now have only on other devices (iPad, iPod and iPhone). Is there a way to recover music from these devices? Also, the missing music on the MacBook that is on the iPhone is greyed out so I can't play it. What's the deal? How can I change that?
BTW- I am going to purchase an external hard drive to make sure this never happens again. I'm am also discovering other missing very valuable data. I'm considering investing in iMatch, too.

    Try PhoneView: http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
iTunes Match is not a backup strategy. Do not rely upon it for disaster recovery. For that you need to use Time Machine or "clone" software.

  • I had my computer worked on and did not back up my itunes library.  how do i put the songs on my ipod back to the itunes library

I had my computer worked on and did not back up my itunes library.  Now the only music I have is on my ipod.  How would I put the music on my ipod back into my itunes music library?

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
You should always maintain a backup copy.  This is very important.
