Ipod not found in itunes comes up with an error message
Downloaded newest program for Ipod Touch. When I try to link it up to my Itunes it says "Itunes could not connect to this Ipod. An unknown error occurred (0xE800000A.) Anyone know how to fix this? Have tried resetting my Ipod Touch and that did not work.

If you cannot acces to the boot menu by pressing F8 you can try to recover the the master boot record from Windows Xp professional installation Cd, to do this:
Attention: don't run these commands if you have more than one operating systems running in your laptop.
Boot from Windows Xp installation cd
Choose repair installation from console by pressing "C" key.
A console will open asking you for administrator password, insert the password and press enter.
Run de command: FIXMBR (It will write a new boot record)
Run de command: FIXBOOT (It will write a new boot file)
Restart the laptop and now windows should start without problems.

Trouble updating to iOS 5 on my wife's iPhone 4 connected to our iM, right before download finishes downloading iTunes comes back with the error message Software corrupted during download. ITunes comes up with an error message
When I go to start iTunes a popup comes up, it says ' iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close'. It gives the option to send an error report to Windows. What can i do? Someone please help. I DID IT! After hours on various discussion boards I figured what the ****. So I deleted iTunes thru Add/Remove programs before finding the Quicktime files on my PC using Find in drive C. I then stuck my CD-ROM in that came with my 20gig colour iPod which installed iTunes 4.8 and Quicktime. You might find that version 4.8 doesent show any of your songs so try what I did and upgrade back yo version 5.1 (where you were). If it doesent load i'd just keep with the older version until an update come out to the latest (5.0.1).
NOTE: this may not work with more recently purchased iPods, I got mine from the UK 07/2005.

I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be. -
I have had to restore my Ipod Touch and now I can't connect to anything on it. When it asks for my Apple ID it comes up with an error message and says that it can't connect to the server. I have checked my WiFi connection and its connected.

thanksGo to your computer's System Tray and try ejecting. If you can't eject, there is an application that is trying to access your iPod.
Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx and download ProcessExplorer.
Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555665 and follow the instructions under Resolution.
Note that this is a good, general process any time you can't access any file.
In my case an update to RealPlayer installed a program called RecordingManager that was accessing my iPod. -

Try rebuilding your iTunes Library:
(This will cause all devices to see your library as a "new" library)
1. Open iTunes.
2. File>LIbrary>Organize Library: Consolidate Files.
-This process may take some time.
3. Quit iTunes.
4. Browse to your iTunes Folder.
5. Drag the files to the desktop, but leave the folders in place (folders will be iTunes Media, Album Artwork, Previous iTunes Libraries)
6. Open iTunes.
7. File>Library>Import Playlist.
8. Direct iTunes to import the "iTunes Library.xml" that is sitting on your desktop.
9. Once the process is complete attempt to resync your iPod.

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?
I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.

I cannot install iTunes on my laptop. It downloads ok. I start to run/install it ok, it gets so far then comes up with an error message saything something failed, quit and retry. This happens every time. HELP

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies using either of these. Save any pending work first.
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? -

Just got off the phone with apple support. If the photo book completes the assembly process but fails during the upload process the problem is in their overloaded servers.They just started a free shipping promotion for the holidays which has increased the traffic dramatically. I bought a calendar a week ago and it went right through. I'm going to try again during less peak times.
