Ipod not getting read on the computer

i have a nano that alwaysed worked fine but then i pluged it in and itues is not reading it i have the latest update of ituenes and i just cant figure out why its not reading my ipod

I recently had the problem where my computer wasn't recognising my ipod. The thing that fixed it, was to..
1. Turn off computer
2. Plug ipod in
3. Reset ipod (turn the lock on the top on then off, and then press the middle and top button on the dial until the apple logo showed up)
4. Turn on computer
..and then it worked.
To avoid this problem, I now not only click the eject icon on itunes when I want to disconnect my ipod, but I also click the windows "safely disconnect hardware" system tray icon. Has worked fine since.

Malfunctioning iPod, not being recognized by the computer. Why?

Ok, yesterday I wanted to update my iPod so I plugged it in and I got an error message about my USB malfunctioning and then my ipod was frozen on "do not disconnect". I unfroze it and tried again. Same thing. Then I changed ports and same problem. I kept unfreezing and got rid of the songs I added thinking they might be messing it up. I plugged it in and I thought it was fine. When I checked it the next day when I wanted to use it all my songs were gone. I plugged it back in, restored the iPod settings and it still doesn't recognize it. Its telling me "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod '__ iPod'. Go to the summary tab in iPod preferences to restore settings it the factory settings." It won't let me restore, though because of an unknown error. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

I have been dealing with crashing and freezing issues on my iMac for 6 months. A supervisor has been assisting me but the issue is not getting fixed. The computer was under when the issues started. He wants to get us a new computer but is not allowed.

Our iMac was under warranty when it began freezing and or crashing. I have spent several hours on the phone with a supervisor and had the machine in 2x. We have also had a repair done in our home. The problems persist. We feel apple owes us a new computer. Help!!!

Do you have a written record of your attempts to get it repaired? When you took the machine "in" for repairs, did you take it to an Apple Store or to an Apple Authorized Reseller or Repair Facility, and do you have copies of invoices or statements showing what repairs were made? If the answers are yes, you need to be persistent in attempting to get a new computer. Ask to talk to the supervisor's supervisor to "escalate" the complaint to a higher level. Get copies of all your repair information and send a letter to the Apple Customer Service people in California and ask them for help.
If your iMac was under warranty when the problems started and the problems have not been resolved, your position should be that the problems should still be fixed or the computer replaced even though the warranty may have expired in the interim. Do you live in the US? If yes, your home state has a Consumer Protection agency. File a complaint with them and ask for their assistance in mediating and/or resolving the matter.

Work_item id not getting read in the web dynpro application

Giving Error like 'Parameter WI_ID contains an invalid value' while calling Work Item ID in Webdyn Pro ABAP Application. I followed the documentation that I got from SDN. We are trying to display a Webdynpro Application with data of Requtester when a user clicks work Item In UWL.
Can you please tell me what i might be missing here.

Hi rajtg,
The details you have described is not enough to analyse the error. I would debug the error in any case to see the window inbound plug , probably you are passing some data which is not matching the type of the data expected in WDA.

Hard drive crashes and did not get to deauthorize the computer now I can't

It sounds like you've used up all the five authorizations you're allowed with an iTS account. In that case, have a look at the How do I deauthorize all of my computers? section of this Apple Support page .
Note that you can only use this option once a year.

Try going to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and delete the existing backup so iTunes creates an entire new one vice changing the existing one.

If after updating the iOS on your iPod:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
Or get/setup IMAP accounts.

You will not be able to see what version you are running until the iPad is activated. It will be in Settings>General>About >Version when you can get to the settings app.
The slider bar that you are describing sounds like the screen lock side switch and that has no bearing on setting up the iPad or connecting to WiFi.
Why don't you try rebooting your router? Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again and see if the iPad will recognize and join the network.

In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first.
