Ipod not loud enough

I can hardly hear my ipod. I have the volume set at the maximum level, but unless I'm in a soundproof room, I can't hear my music or videos.

if you're using the iPod headphones, the music should be loud enough to have your phones "cackle".
Check your iTunes -- view the song properties, is the volume set at normal? Try setting it higher. Also, enable the Sound Checker, it MIGHT do something.
Lastly, is it just your music or videos?? Regular quality music should be okay.
Or maybe your phones are just defective.

  • Microphone voice of iPhone4 is not loud enough

I call to my parents yesterday, but they complained the voice was not loud enough.
Version is 5.11, I bought it in Apple.com 18 September.

    - Go to Settings>Sound and see if a Sound Limit is set. I
Make sure it is at max
    - EU has recently required that devices like the iPod limit volume lower to preserve hearing. Thee is no way to raise that limit.  USA and other placs to not have that limit. The limit is locked to a unique identifier on the iPod like SN so restoring does not remove it.

  • Song in my iphone 4 not loud enough when i play on the dock speaker.

when i play song on my iphone using dock speaker the song not loud enough.. pls help.

If your dock is connected to an amplifier/speaker system try this:
With your phone sitting in the dock, try to increase the volume, using the volume control buttons of the phone. Set it to max and you should have more sound coming out of your speakers.

  • Volume - Not loud enough.

My husband and I would like to listen/watch videos without headphones, however, the maximum volume is not loud enough for us to understand some words. Is there a way of increasing the maximum volume output without the use of external speakers or headphones?
    Thanks.

    Open iTunes on your computer---Podcast--->
Pick the Podcast you want to raise the volume--->
    Press the keys...Command+i--->
    Press the Option tab--->
Check the box Volume Adjustment...Set the volume to your liking.
    or set it to 100%
If you want to do all the podcast at one time. Choose all the podcasts at one-time. You can do the same with movies and music too. If you want to adjust the volume to a select few in you library, Seclect All--->Option key and click on the podcasts (video, music) that you want to deselect.

  • ITunes not loud enough

I have a Toshiba P205 notebook. All the drivers are up to date. When I listen to podcasts on iTunes, I have to turn the volume all the way up, set the preamp to max, everything, and it's still not loud enough. When I run the 'test' app from Realtek, it's loud enough to break glass. What's up with iTunes?
Same thing on my iPhone 3GS. Just not loud enough.
    Ideas?

I have to turn the volume all the way up, set the preamp to max,
    What "preamp"?
iTunes has its own volume separate from the system volume. Top left under the Play button.

  • HT1918 the tone is not loud enough on my i pod

My tone is not loud enough on my i pod and i can not make it louder.

I´m using same config, MBA rocksmith cable and Mic powered by a (singleAA baterry) Ive tried recording in Quicktime (more or less noise, good volume), audacity(way too low volume) SoundtrackPro (same low volume), GARAGEBAND (lot better volume and very decent recording, great presets and much better export options!
when you listen your recording on garageband it will sound LOW volume, im using mac headphones almost at max vol, maybe it lowers the volume so there is no feedback,... BUT whe you export to file and open it on Soundtrack or quicktime VOALA! normal voice recording is hitting 0dbs, so that gives me chance to lower down to -12dbs after doing my edits.
Use GARAGEBAND to recrod voice, or any other intrument, works great with Rocksmith USB cable, mic does require use of AA battery.
Busting my head with this for hrs until I tried Garageband.
    good luck.

  • HT4528 sound is not loud enough

My ringtones for phone calls is not loud enough.  Is there a way to increase this other than the norm?

To turn the volume up, go to Settings > Sounds and slide the volume bar to the right.
Press the volume + button when you're on your home screen to turn the sound up.
Double-tap your Home button and flick your finger from left to right TWICE and slide that bar to the right
Remove any cases that you have and test it also
If its still not loud enough for you after doing these, you can reset all settings (Settings > General > Reset). If its still not quite what you want, restore it as new in iTunes on your computer or take it to the Apple Store http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US

  • Zen Vision M 30 GB : sound not loud enough and how to change title of albums on the

Hi, I'm a french ZVM new user so sorry for my bad english !?Two questions :?) I have very good ears, I don't like to listen the music too loud?but my ZVM does not play loud enough. I always need to put volume on level 25 (the maximum) when I'm listening to ZVM outside (and in the quiet of my house, I still have to put volume around 22 to hear something). I've red on this forum that one of the solution is to upgrade the version of the firmware. My ZVM is loaded at present with version .40.02. Can the download of the last version available on the creative website solve my problem ? Is there another way to solve it ?2) I've used the software CREATIVE MEDIA EXPLORER to load my cd's albums on my ZVM. But there are some mistakes in the title of the albums loaded (the ID3 tag are sometimes wrong). How can I change the wrong titles on my ZVM ? I've changed them on the files on my PC, with CREATIVE MEDIA EXPLORER but the changes are not uploaded on my ZVM. Thanks a lot for your answers and advices

  • E50 not loud enough

    Hello,
Are there any programmatic ways to make E50 louder? It's not loud at all and I cannot listen to music in loud environment. The standard wired headset is not good enough either.
Will I be able to resolve the issue with other headsets?

    Hi,
buy a stereo hmm... adapter Nokia AD-46 and a pair of closed canalphones, such as Panasonic RP-HNJ50 and enjoy your music.
    http://europe.nokia.com/ad-46
Closed earcanal-phones will block the outside noise. There is even a battery powered noise cancelling earphones Panasonic RP-HC30 that will cancel the noise.
Beware of wearing closed and noise cancelling earphones in dangerous situations, like while riding a bike or walking through city roads, carefully read the instructions.

  • Output sound, NOT LOUD ENOUGH

I HAVE UPGRADED MY MACBOOK TO LEOPARD OS, AND AUDIO IS REALLY LOW EVEN-THOUGH THE VOLUME IS REALY HIGH. I WENT TO PREFERENCE SETTING, CHECKED SETTINGS AND THEY ARE OK. I CANT HEAR MY MUSIC LOUD ENOUGH THE MY MUSIC OR ANY OTHER AUDIO. PLEASE HELP.

    Hello,
Most notebook sound devices usually produce hallow sounds and are normally harder to hear at higher distances. Your best bet, rather than to push the limits of the speakers, ( they aren't great ) is to hook your laptop into some external speakers made for this type of operation. I usually hook my Macbook up to the TV along with my home theater system when I am using Front Row. I highly suggest you do the same.

  • New to iCal:  Audible alarms in iCal are not loud enough...

I'm getting a Verizon iPhone and will then use MobileMe to keep everything synced. Until now, I've only used the calendar features in regular phones (I've never had a smartphone). I've fumbled around with iCal some on my Mac, and it clearly will be easier to program events on it, and it has many customization features.
But, the problem is: I've been testing the alarm in iCal (by having it sound on my iMac since I don't yet have an iPhone), and it seems you can only have a brief audible alarm sound (for instance, the "Glass" or "Basso" sound option with the "Message with Sound" option). I'm used to the calendars on regular cell phones, which, while they aren't as customizable as the iCal events, do at least have a loud alarm that repeats much like a cell phone ringer. Is there something I can do in iCal to make its alarm louder and repetitive?
If I can't get a loud, repetitive alarm to sound with my iCal events, then it's really not going to work for me. The alarm will be going off on my iPhone and I will never hear it.

    The plot thickens ...
I just fixed my iCal sync problem with .Mac by refreshing .Mac with the data from my iMac and then syncing it to my iBook. Well, it finally worked, but surprise surprise, a few posts from my mobile/cell T610 appeared in the iBooks iCal, although they aren't in the iMac's iCal. So it seems like the events I have created on the T610 do transfer to the iMac -- it's just that they don't display in iCal. Or rather, in the syncing computer's iCal ...
What do you make of this?

  • Calendar alerts not loud enough

My iphone5 alerts are way too soft, and I can't hear them. The ringer is set to max, but I can't figure out how to set the calendar alerts to high. When I do a hard reset it works for a while (less than a day) but then goes way down in volume. I need a good, loud alert for appointments. I've set it to vibrate, but it's not always in a pocket so I can feel it. Please help me. I'm missing appointments because of this. I think it started after the last iOS update, but it seems more recent than that.

You may want to look into using another sound for the tone, or possibly another app to use for reminders. I don't know of another way to make it any louder.

  • IPad speaker volume not loud enough

It seems to me that my iPad (latest model / software as of this date) speaker volume could be louder.  Other family members have the new Mini's and they have much more volume, as do our iPhones.  Is there a way to increase or improve the speaker volume on the iPad?
    Thanks!

I have yet to receive my ipad 2 yet, but I'm sure the physical design of the case has something to do with it.
The ipad 1 emits to the side, where as ipad 2 emits toward the back. Movies have a very dynamic volume range compared to music, and I've found even on the ipad 1 that the volume could be louder, especially if there's existing ambient noise.
If I didn't have my earbuds, I would cup the speaker with my hand to direct the sound foward... not sure how well that would work with the ipad 2.

  • Songs not loud enough when exported to disk.

    Hey guys.
I exported my songs I recently recorded as mp3's. I uploaded them to Mypace, and unlike previous recorded in GB, they were much softer. I have no idea what's causing the problem. Just to show you all, here's my page.
The two I uploaded today are Drum Demo and Samba Sample. The others were uploaded a pretty long time ago.

    ZachPlaysDrums wrote:
I saw the topic about exporting to iTunes and I saw the suggestion about turning auto nomalizing off. I did, but now some of the louder fills (it's only a drum track) clip.
The issue is that there is too much dynamic range between the loudest notes and the softest. Normalizing brings the loudest notes up to the loudest value (0 dBFS), but since there is still a leap between the loudest and softest notes, the average notes will still be well below the top values, making the overall track seem soft. Turning off normalizing allows you to bring the overall level up, but as you found out, the loudest notes will clip when you get the average levels where you want them.
    The solution is compression.
If you compress your tracks, you reduce the overall dynamic range (the softest notes aren't as far away from the loudest notes as they originally were), which lets you raise the average (and perceived) volume on the overall track without clipping.
    The danger is over-compression.
If you over-compress, and reduce the dynamic range too much, the track can sound dull and lifeless. However, a little compression is the way to tame the dynamics and increase levels without clipping.
