IPod not receiving newly downloaded videos

I downladed v.7 and downloaded a movie but when I tried to put it on my ipod it gave me an error message "your ipod software is too old. Go to the Summary tab and click update" when I go to the summary tab it says that my ipod is up to date. I have the 30GB ipod. How do I get videos on to my ipod?

No, I don't work for Apple. I've been in IT for over 20 years including telecom and consulting.
I'm on AT&T. The problem is not universal or even necessarily widespread on AT&T. If you're having issues, it is not a system wide problem. There can be interchange problems between networks from time to time and there can be problems within the AT&T network. If you have a phone, iPhone or otherwise that works today, there is no reason it shouldn't work next week if you don't make changes to it. The only reasons it wouldn't would be a hardware or software failure on the handset or problems on the carrier side. If there is 1 person with a problem. It's the handset. If there are 10... depends on the sample size. If there are 100, then you can bet your boots it's the carrier.
I've worked with AT&T a LOT during my career. Believe me, if you don't know the tricks, the person you get on the phone when you call about a problem like this has absolutely no idea what is wrong or if there is even a problem to begin with. Their sole purpose in life is to give you the warm fuzzies and make you go away.

IPod Classic will not play newly downloaded songs

Ok, I recently downloaded some new MP3's (from a 3rd party site, mp3fiesta.com) into iTunes. The songs play perfectly on iTunes and they also have no issue playing on my iPhone 16. On the other hand, they refuse to play on my iPod classic 160. I use the classic in my car, and it's what I play 99% of my music through. It pretty much worked flawlessly until I downloaded these new songs. I re-formatted it last night, and did a re-synch as well....but it still won't play these songs. It skips over them and then goes to the main menu...
HELP!!!

I have the same issue. Additionally, I'll select one song to play and the ipod will play another in the same grouping. I switched ipods, restored to factory, synced and the same issue with the same songs. What is going on?

IPod NOT playing iTunes downloads - HELP!

I thought it was an audiobook I downloaded, but I re-downloaded it tonight and it still didn't work. So I downloaded a song and just like the book, it went swiftly into iTunes and played fine.
When I sync the iPod, the music comes over, but will NOT play. It tries for a few seconds, then moves back to the main menu.
Surfed help and discussions and haven't found this problem.
I have soft/hard reset, deauthorized/authorized, etc...but to no avail.
Any Thoughts???

IPod not taking H.264 video

I have a divx converted video to H.264, that will not go on to my iPod, I have done this sucessfully before, b/c the other 50 or so videos work fine. I have actually re-encoded the video to make sure that I did put it into H.264. I'm using QT7 Pro on a 17in PB 1.67 1.5mb ram

Try re-encoding using the "Movie to MPEG4" export option using the H.264 ("base" MP4 option) using the "baseline" profile in the single pass mode with a video data rate of 400-600 kbps video tab setting, LC 128 kbps audio data rate at 44.1 khz sampling rate in Audio tab, and Streaming tab turned off.

Not able to download video podcasts into iTunes

Just in the last week, most video podcasts will not download into iTunes. They start the downloading process than quit 1/3 of the way through and I get a "!". I am using the latest version. Not sure if its the ABC news podcasts or my system. Help.

IPod not playing music or video

I updated to 4.1 and all of a sudden my iPod won't play music or videos. Also I can't hear any of the keyboard clicks when I type on it. Won't play through the AUX or the USB ports either.
Things I tried:
1. Reseting
2. Hard reset
3. Factory Restore
4. Downgrade to 4.0

Welcome to the club. My 2nd gen did the same thing when I "upgraded" to 4.2.1.....

Thumbnail images will not appear for downloaded videos!

Until about a month and a half ago, whenever I downloaded a video to my computer, a thumbnail image always appeared on the video menu. But now, all that appears is the logo for the media player I have installed.
From the web pages I have read, it seems that the installation of the one of the recent versions of Adobe Flash Player has caused this problem, but I don't know this for sure.
I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall both AFP and the media player several times already, but the problem still exists.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem? All answers appreciated. Thank you.

IPod not received yet

My ipod nano hasn't been sent back to me and its been way more than two business day since they sent me the email....what should i do???

New iPod not able to download after first successful attempt

I purchased 30 songs the first time I became a member of iTunes. I plugged in the ipod and purchased another 80 songs and they didnt automatically go to the ipod. What am I doing wrong?

If you are using Internet Download Manager, make sure that you are using latest version of IDM?

I can not find mt downloaded videos on my ipad2. Any ideas?

Downloaded or synced videos should go into the Videos app. If you can't find them there then have you got any video age restrictions set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ? And can you find them by name via the iPad's spotlight search screen 9swipe your first homescreen to the right) ?
