IPod on 3Gs previously had playback speed control, but it's now gone. How to recover?

Running version 4.3.5 (8L1). iPod no longer shows email, scrubber bar, 30-sec repeat, or playback speed button. These were there a few weeks ago. Did they get dropped in an update?

Performed full restore and resync. It seems that restore pulled code off my hard drive -- could this be corrupt (low network traffic at that time)? Update says my phone is up to date.

Hi,
I am working on Flex based Audio Player. I want to change the
playback speed like 50% of the normal speed or 150% of the normal
speed. I did some research on flash.media package but couldn't find
anything useful. Anybody has any idea how we can control the
playback speed of mp3 files?

I know the law, but thanks for the legal advice. Wouldn't it be curious to ask this question if I already possessed software that allowed keyboard commands for transcription purposes?
Right now, I'm using MPlayer X. ( A lousy, often unstable program). What appears to be keyboard command functionality -- under AVS at the top of the screen -- does not function that way and, even if it did function, is not fully what I need. I'll look further into VLC, but a preliminary look into it shows me a program more adapted for video applications. My experience has been that such software is not designed to meet my particular needs. The Adobe program is to EDIT audio. It is not designed to have the keyboard functionality one uses for transcription. This is exactly the problem I keep running up against with several programs. I can do sophisticated sound editing, but I cannot do simple transcription functions -- keyboard commands to speed up, slow down, move back, move forward. It is an incorrect assumption that an audio editing program would have those controls, in my experience.

Safari can't be deleted but:
- It can be hidden by Restrictions. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions to check. It is passcode protected.
- It just might be where you can't find it. Use the Spotlight search on the iPod and try to find it.

I previously had an iPad 4 but have now got the Air. Everything was backed up to the cloud but my various photo albums do not contain all my photos. It just says downloading but it never happens.

That is stealing. Your friend has no right/licence to give the songs to you. It violates copyright law.

You have probably simply opened a blank Layout template which has no default text area. In Layout documents you need to add textboxes to the page.
Just start over from the Tempalet Chooser and pick a Word Processing document (see the sidebar titles) or a template with actual content in it already.

Restore from backup if they are in a backup. Otherweise I know of no free way. These are paid and no one has said that they worked.

When i locate the songs i have bought in iTunes Store, and try to download them, a message telling me i have to pay for it again shows up. When i try this option in iTunes Check for available downloads, it tells me that there is no available downloads.

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. Had to reinstall Cloud and trail is now gone.

Recently I had to reboot my computer and got help here on how to reinstall Creative Cloud, well I got it installed but now I installed Acrobat XI Pro and it is telling me that my trail has expired. If I have 30 days even with the problems I've had, I still shoul have at least 24 days left on the trail subscription. Can anyone tell me why this has happen and why I can not use the Acrobat XI Pro? I downloaded it and on the same day I have to reinstall my computer to original factory settings and I had to install everything again. I had problem installing Cloud at first but you guys help me out on how to fix this, so I installed the Acrobat XI Pro and now I can not use it saying my trail subscription is up. Whats the deal?

Did you have the Creative cloud as a trial before? If it had expired it may have caused the Acrobat XI trial to expire early too. This can be caused by the fact that you had to restore the computer or possibly by antivirus software running on your machine. Sorry, once the trial has expired there is no other option except to purchase the software.

IPhone 4 had to be replaced and pictures are now gone even though I did a back up!! HELP!?

I had to replace my iPhone 4 because of an issue with the power button sticking.
We backed up my iPhone right there in the apple store (I think with iCloud). The worker then went and changed out my phone and everything was transferred but my music and some of my pictures. When I open Photos it says "downloading 111 of 354" (which is how many photos I had) but it has been saying this since I've gotten it. My pictures are no where to be found on my mackbook either! I synced my phone and updated it when needed, so where are my pictures?! How can I get them back?!
The odd thing is SOME of my pictures transferred and some of them are out of order on my phone. How is it only some transferred? All were taken with my iPhone..

The iPhone has never synced pictures taken with the device to the computer. It has always been the users responsibility (explicity stated in the User's Guide) to copy the pictures off the device to the computer.
Why in the world would anyone leave 500+ pictures on the device as the sole copy of those pictures???? Any intelligent human being would ensure that copies of important pictures existed elsewhere.
Unfortunately, if the pictures are not restoring from iCloud at this point, they are gone. Hopefully you've learned a lesson.

HOW are you closing Safari?
I had the exact same problem. I would "X" out and I thought it was closed, but it wasn't. I found that, after I "X"d out of Safari, I needed to go up to the very top banner, next to the apple icon on the far left (it should say "Safari" next to it), click on Safari and, at the very bottom of the list, click on "Quit Safari".
Then, go ahead and complete the down-loading.
