IPod on iPad not connecting with appletv

I want to play the iPod on the iPad on my apple tv but I can't get it to work.  I use the remote button to sync with The computer and then to Apple tv.  But i want to play songs from the iPad through apple tv.  I am able to click on the button for apple tv from the iPad but nothing comes out of the speakers.  I can only use the system by using the remote button on the iPad.

Has it ever worked? What operating system is on PC and what version of iTunes?

  • Ipad not connect with computer. error number (0xE8000084), ipad not connect with computer error number (0xE8000084)

ipad not connected to computer. erreo number (0xE8000084)

    Hello Mohamed Abdo,
It sounds like you are unable to connect your iPad to the computer because you get this error code when you try. I would use the troubleshooting for these types of errors from the following article:
iOS: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting to a Windows PC
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3221
Start with these steps, and there are additional steps in the article if you need them:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Install the latest version of iTunes.
    3. Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. iOS devices require the following minimum version of Windows:
    Windows XP Service Pack 3
    Windows Vista
    Windows 7
    Windows 8
    4. Download and install any available software updates from Microsoft.
    5. Connect the device directly to your computer; not to an external USB hub. Find out if your computer has USB 2.0 ports.
    6. Check that the Dock Connector or Lightning Connector on both the device and cable are clean of any lint or other debris. If possible, connect your device using a different Apple 30-pin to USB cable or Apple Lightning Connector to USB cable.
    7. Disconnect other USB peripherals from your computer, with the exception of your keyboard and mouse. After disconnecting these peripherals, restart your computer, connect your device, and open iTunes.
    8. Connect your device to a different USB port on your computer.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • My 2nd generation iPod touch will not connect with the newest version of iTunes (December 2012 update). My computer(windows7) says the device is connected when i plug it in, but it will not show up in iTunes. Can anyone help?

As said in the question, my ipod touch will not connect to the newest version of itunes. When I plug it in, my compter recognizes that a device has been connected, yet it will not show up in itunes. I didn't have this problem until I just updated to the new itunes. Someone help please!

It still could be cable or contacts in the iPod since different contacts/conductor are used for charging and data

  • My iPod will completely not connect with my computer- Help!

I have an iPod touch 2nd generation. Whenever I try to plug it into the computer, it doesn't do anything- my iPod doesn't connect at all. It doesn't even start charging. I've updated my iTunes, and done everything I can that the website suggests, but nothing will work. I've even called the Tech Support, but the links they give me won't help, either. HELP ME!

    If you tried everthing here:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Try another computer to help determine if it is a computer or iPod problem. If iPod problem then make an appointment a the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • HT204387 iPod Touch does not connect with iPad or iPad mini via Bluetooth

I am trying to use my iPod Touch as a Remote using bluetooth and Keynote on my iPad and now my iPad Mini.. it works using WiFi...

Yes, the iPod can control Keynot on an iPad via BTY. See:

  • Ipad not connecting with my pc. tried known booting methods

tried to reset. it stuck in between. not responding since than. tried to boot by home/hold keys, but unable to connect to itunes.

Your question/problem is a little unclear to me. If the iPad is functional - meaning you can turn it on and use it - but it is not recognized in iTunes - start with this.
iOS Device Not Recognized in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
If the iPad will not start up - try resetting again (as long as the battery has a charge) - by holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen - it may take 10-15 seconds and sometimes it can take even a little longer.

  • HT1351 Audio book download on computer, shows up in my g drive for ipod, but will not connect with my device ...goes through syncing, but audio book not is transferred to actual device

Audio book appears in my downloads, has been transferred to ipod (it shows up in g drive when I plug in ipod), but when I complete the sync, and disconnect ipod, the book is not transferred to ipod

Same problem here with the same iPod- Gen4, 20 G- this started on Friday. None of the "fixes" Apple offers help because iTunes and My Computer freeze when the iPod is connected. If I disconnect while My Computer is open, it shows up briefly as the E: drive with an exclamation point and then disappears. If I disconnect with iTunes open, everything that I tried to open while it was connected suddenly pops up. I can't restore the iPod because the Updater freezes while the iPod is connected. There is no difference when I try to do these things in disk mode. The disk manager function in windows sees the iPod, but freezes up when you try and click on it.
I've run all the diagnostic tests and it passed them all. It does the same thing on other computers (all PCs) that I've tried.

  • Ipod touch will not connect with PC

When I connect my ipod touch to my pc an error message says that the apple mobile device service is not started. When I try to start the apple mobile device service, I get a message that says the service started and stopped because of lack of work, so my ipod won't sync. I already redownloaded Itunes and an Apple worker said the ipod is fine but that something on my computer is causing the problem. Any ideas?

I know you may have done some of the steps in the Article, but have a look at this:-

  • IPad not connecting with JBL Flip 2

I have an iPad mini with Retina display running iOS 8.0.2. I just bought a JBL Flip 2 portable speaker. It paired instantly with my iPhone 6. But my iPad can't detect it. I have tried restarting both the iPad and Flip. I have made sure the iPhone Bluetooth is off. I also successfully paired another Bluetootb device with my iPad. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

I actually fixed it but not sure exactly how.  I am not a newbie so I was a little frustrated by the mbp not picking it up as my iPhone and iPad had.  I decided to download Yosemite and try.  It worked but I was also playing with the on/off and bluetooth button on the JBL Flip and suddenly they found each other.  I am just happy that they like each other and hopefully they will stay together.
    thanks

  • My iPod touch is not connecting with iTunes, i'm using Vista 32 bit. help?

My computer is recognizing it as a camera and itune is not recognizing it at all.
    *i have downloaded iTune 7.5*
i've spent half an hour talking to the support people who ended up hanging up on me because they didnt seem to know what they were talking about and after half an hour nothing had changed and they gave up
    any suggestions?
    thanks

I followed the directions in your suggestion and got as far as step 4, but I never saw the "recovery mode" alert from iTunes. Instead, I got a windows wizard and went through the following steps with it hoping it would lead to the iTunes alert:
    Found New Hardware Wizard
This Wizard helps you install software for
    Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)
    Cannot install this Hardware
-because Wizard cannot find the necessary software
After clicking "Finish" an alert appeared on the bottom right hand corner of screen: A problem occured during hardware installation. Your hardware may not work properly.
Now I am back to a "Scanner and Camera Wizard" which I have gone through numerous times...
Do you have any other suggestions..???  Thanks for the above... I really thought it was going to work...

  • Second Hand iPad not connected with iCloud

I bought my iPad second hand and it was mint, it's the lastest one, but I find that I cannot sign into iCloud the web interface. I can get access to all my stuff: Notes, Reminders... but why does it ask me to set-up my device to use iCloud then?

I can do that, but I wanted to try from my iPad. Are you saying that it will never work and s just not ended as as a desktop solution!

Hi! I am having the same problem. What's odd is that a few days ago- the ipad was connecting to the network fine. No changes made. Other devices can connect to this network. I have also been able to connect my ipad to other networks.
I have reset all network settings, reset my ipad, reset the router, hard stop reboot, turn on/off wifi connection. what's interesting is that when i click the arrow next to the network i am trying to log onto- the ip address, router, and dns numbers come up automatically and the router number does not fill in (also- this process takes a long time- at least 5 minutes).
    any thoughts?

  • IPod not connecting with USB?  I've found a solution!

So it appears as though a lot of people are coming up with the "my iPod won't connect as a USB device" problem. I was too, and it was highly frustrating. Today I found a solution. I had ordered a set of extra USB and firewire ports for my computer, and although the iPod STILL didn't connect with my new USB ports... it works perfectly with the firewire ports. So, it appears that if you're having this problem where you cannot connect your iPod with a USB cable, switch to the firewire cable and hopefully it'll help you as it has helped me.
    Good luck!

I have the dictation up and running in a new version of Pages but it just keeps running and running and not doing a thing.  I could have typed my sentence 5 times by the time I waited for anything to happen.
I have used Dragon on the iPad and it is amazing.  Seems that the iOS platform for the new iPad makes dictation a breeze.  A world different than trying to make it work on a laptop device using Mountain Lion.
I think there are kinks to be worked out.  Looking forward to an update
