IPod on iPhone 4 problem

I have all the artwork for each song in my iPod... but for some reason, when I'm on the lock screen, the iPod displays the incorrect artwork. When i go back to the iPod it goes back to the correct artwork.
Does anyone know how to fix this??

I've got the same problem in the iPhone4 (iOS 4.2.1). If you restart the iphone, you fix it temporally because the problem appears in a short period of time again.
I think that it's a bug. Hope it will be fix soon.

I recently got an iPhone to replace my much used iPod touch. I made sure to backup my iPod to iTunes before syncing my iPhone for the first time. When I finally synced my iPhone, iTunes gave me no option to restore my ipod from my most recent backup. It gave me the option to restore from older backups, but not the new one.
For the time being I have it set up as a new phone, I've checked in the backups folder (macintosh HD/library/application support/mobilesync/backups) and found that the backup does still exist, but iTunes wont let me use it. Can anyone help me out?

3rd party app settings and data created/stored by a 3rd party app is included in the device backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. The only way to transfer this data from one device to another is by transferring the backup for one device to the other.

Reinstall iTunes. Make sure you follow the instructions in this support document to the letter. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet.

I recommend that you
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point.

Problems playing music on iPod and iPhone 5

While playing music on my iPod or iPhone 5, some songs suddenly stop playing. The progress bar keeps moving as if it is playing but the audio stops. Songs play fine on my computer in my library. WTH?

Is this songs purchased on iTunes Store or were imported by a CD?
If the songs were purchased by iTunes Store, you should try to download it again, maybe it was a trouble when the song were processed!
You should give it a try!

all our purchases in iTunes , apps and iCloud are on this . If we create a new ID for one of us do we lose any of the data and purchased material or do we still share?

I would suggest that one of you retain the existing AppleID and use it for the iTunes Store, iCloud, and Messages on their iOS device and/or Mac accounts.
Then, the other one of you can create a new AppleID.
You then have two choices for how to share your existing store purchases:
1) You can try the new "Family Sharing" feature: http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/
2) Or you can simply continue to use the original AppleID as your "iTunes Store" login on all of your devices (yours and your wife's), yet use a different AppleID to login to iCloud and Messages.
Family Sharing is supposed to be the solution to the problem and does indeed have some interesting shared features. However, just using the same iTunes Store login has worked reliable for years.
The important this to realize is that in iOS and Mac OS, the logins for the Apple Store, Messages, and iCloud are all completely separate and can be independently configured. So, you can each use your own AppleID for login to each of those services. Just make sure to both login to the iTunes Store service using the same original AppleID.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

I have an ipod & an iphone. The iphone is mine though and my daughter has the ipod of course for just games and music. I am having issues when I hook up to Itunes, it wanted at first to add all my apps to her ipod & add all her games on mine. So I figured out a solution instead of her using my email address, I set her up one of her own. I also set her up an apple ID & password. Now, my only problem is that it won't let her update her apps without asking for MY email address, even though on her itunes store, it shoes her apple ID as her email address and not mine. So I having hard time dealing with this, it's awful. She has 7 updates ready and cannot download them. Im really upset.
Now on my Iphone, my email address is the same, but, it says my security code on my account is invalid. I've had the same credit card on the account every since I had the phone, never had any problems with it till now. I add another card, and still says any number I add is invalid. So I really do NEED HELP! I have sent out an email to the App store itself to see if they could help me, but of course that takes 48 hours! I have 6 updates and I can't update mine bec of a security code & hers won't bec of email issues. Any help would be very appreciated! THANKS.

- Apps are permanently locked to the account that purchased them. You have to log into that account to update the apps. If you have apps that need update from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased form one account. Apps can't be moved form one account to another.

Do you get an error message? Do you plug the devices in and nothing happens? Is content not syncing?

ICal / iPhone sync problems - events don't appear in iCal

I have MobileMe set up on both my MacBook and iPhone. All iCal-created events now appear on my iPhone (although only those after 9th May 2008; none before), but if I create an event on my iPhone then it doesn't show up on iCal. If I check MobileMe on the internet, my web-based version of iCal has all events, including those that I create on the iPhone.
On iCal I have two calendar types: Home (Blue) and Work (Green). On my iPhone there are now four types, for some reason: two Homes (both Blue) and two Works (both Green). I have tried experimenting by creating events in all calendars, but none sync to appear in iCal on my MacBook.
Help!

After 3.5 hours on the phone with applecare, I believe this problem of not syncing ical from ipod touch to the ical app is resolved. Here are the steps that made it happen for me:
Log out of main account and log into root account. If you haven't set up the root user yet follow the directions in your Mac Help on your computer. Make sure you understand the implications of setting up the root user account. You may want to disable the root user after you are done with this fix.
In Finder, navigate to /Users/(your account)/Library/Application Support and delete every folder in the Application Support directory that has the word 'Sync' in the folder's name.
Log out of the root account and back into your main account. Sync your ipod touch / iphone and see if this worked for you.
