Ipod operation not found in manual, at least I could not find it

When plsying the ipod selection in my iphone. I can not find how to stop the music without turning off the iphone. Please point me to where this information is found.

The video must be played directly, by selecting it from the appropriate iPod video menu on the iPhone. It will play audio-only when selected for play from a playlist.
FYI, The iPhone User's Guide can be found here:
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPhoneUserGuide.pdf
* Oops, sorry, just noticed your thread title says you couldn't find it in the manual. Do you mean the one that comes with the iPhone? If so, I think the complete manual is the one posted for download at the link above. If I had more time, I'd look it up, but can't at the moment. But, it's in there...

  • Ipod updater not finding proper ipod

    Hey guys I have been trying to update my iPod video (5thGen) with the 2006-06-28 updater but everytime i plug in the ipod it shows it as being a 2nd generation ipod. The update and restore buttons are not available for me to click. The update buttons says that the ipod is up to date. and the restore button says that it has to be pluged into a firewire port. This is clearly incorrect because 5thGen ipods are NOT firewire compatible. furthermore when i lauch iTunes it tells me that the ipod software is out of date and it does not allow me to upload purchased music or any videos.
    does anyone have a clue whats up???

    Thank you for the responce; however, I have already tryied that and it is still no-go. I have been able to restore the iPod using a G5 Tower at a friends house, but I am still having problems linking the iPod to my computer. iTunes still gives me the error message that the iPod software is not up to date, and it does not allow me to transfer purchased music or videos to the iPod. I have also tryed to use older iPod software and it still does not detect the correct iPod.
    I guess what im trying to say is that its not a problem witht the iPod but rather my computer.

  • My IPOD can not find a wifi to connect to.

    My wifi is turned on and searches for a connection but can not find any.  Do I need some type of booster antenna in my home?

    Does it connect to any other WiFi networks? If not it may have a hardware problem.
    Do you have your WiFi network SSID hidden?

  • Why does my 4th gen ipod touch not find the same wifi signals that my macbook does?

    My macbook connects to btfon/btopenzone everytime,  but my ipod touch can only occaisonally recieve the signal and when it does will drop connection very often.

    Also, the Mac, if relatively new, will see networks that operate on the 5 GHz N band. The iPod only sees 2.4 GHz networks..

  • 3rd Generation iPod is not recognized in iTunes or Finder with FireWire

    My refurbished 3rd generation 30 GB (used the battery replacement plan) all of a sudden is not recognizable in either iTunes of the Finder when connected to a FireWire port, which it has done many times. However when I connect it with a USB connection it is recognized, but when I go to restore the software, I’m told I need a FireWire connection by the warning windows from iTunes.
    Any suggestions?
    Looking at the postings, it appears that other iPod users are having the same problem.

    Strange. Both of my Macs are PowerPC Macs running 10.4.10. My Third Generation iPod works fine. The only problem is that when charging it from the wall using the iPod Power Adapter it won't charge to 100 percent. Even after syncing it up directly to either my '17 iMac G5 1.8 GHz or '12 PowerBook G4 1.5 GHz it won't charge all the way. The Knowledge Base Articles I've read seem to indicate that in rare cases the iPod's logic board or Hold Switch may need to be replaced. So far I've replaced the 10 GB hard drive that died with a 20 GB hard drive, replaced the Hold Switch & replaced the Lithium Ion rechargeable battery. I think in my case the iPod logic board may need to be replaced. I originally bought mine refurbished & replacing the iPod costs about $299 according to Apple. Replacing the logic board only costs $65 though if you Google iPod with Dock Connector parts. The link shows up in one of the ads in the right pane of the search results. I really think Apple should recall the Third Generation iPods with defective logic boards. The least they could do is offer a logic board replacement program like they do for Macs.

  • Can not sync my iPod. Can not find a specific folder. What do I do?

    I want to sync my iPod. Connect iPod to your computer, the iPod says that is not sinhronezatsiya otklyuchaye device, I go to itunes, the iPod loading to remove the device from the computer and the computer screen when sinhronezatsii some time out two windows: "Can not sync iPod" iPod ". can not find a disk," and "Can not sync iPod" iPod ". can not find the folder you want." What do I do?

  • Help....Can not find any networks

    All of a sudden my Ipod can not find any connections. Even the one at my house. IT has to be the IPod because I have my moms IPod right next to mine and hers is finding the network and connecting just fine.
    Ihave already did a restore, and I also reset the network settings

    Next step it to restore to factory defaults in case there is some corruption which is now in the backup. If that does not work then you may have a hardware problem.

  • IPod will not sync. Cannot be found/File not found

    I have a older video iPod. Yesterday I did a sync and it worked fine. Then I purchased songs from the iTunes store and now it will not sync. I downloaded the latest version of iTunes but it still won't sync. When I connect iPod I get a box saying update 1.3 is available. I have tried hitting DOWNLOAD and also LATER, but neither will work. It seems like it recognizes the iPod but then stops recognizing it (the do not connect message on the iPod screen disappears). Then I get two error messages - the first says cannot sync because the iPod cannot be found, the second says file cannot be found. I do not use photos. I have restarted trhe computer several times, reset the iPod, and tried different usb ports. Nothing helps. Any suggestions?

    This worked for me.
    Close iTunes if it's running.  Disconnect your iPod.
    Run "devmgmt.msc".  this will bring up "device manager."  You'll need it open.
    Open iTunes.  Plug in your iPod.
    When it's recognized, select/check "enable disk use."  Dialogue box will open to remind you you'll have to manually disconnect. Say "ok."
    Select "apply".
    Right click on the Apple device in device manager (might work to click on anything, but look for the apple device).
    Select "search for hardware changes."
    When finished.  iPod should function normally and sync.
    You can switch back to uncheck "enable disk use" and apply if desired.

  • Axis2: Operation not found

    Hi guys,
    First of all my apologies if this is the incorrect forum for this topic - I'm quite new to web services!
    I was wondering if I could ask about a "Operation Not found" problem I'm encountering. When attempting to deploy the sync version and the async version of the same operation on the same instance of axis2 (ie: two operations, both with the same input parameters, but only one with a return parameter) I receive this error:

    </soapenv:Envelope>Each web service operation was generated by the WSDL2JAVA tool from a different port in a WSDL file. I ensured that the output from the tool for each service was separated into a separate directory (to ensure no files were overwritten). I also ensured that I specified a different Java package name for the output of each run/operation, to ensure that when it came to merging the Java output the package names would prevent the generated skeletons from being overwritten.
    As each port uses the same underlying data structures, I merged the contents of the two directories together (overwriting files), except the services.xml file, which I manually edited to ensure each service from the individual service.xml files was present in the resultant services.xml file.
    When fleshing out the generated skeleton files to return a response, then building both operations into an aar file and deploying it on to a simple server, I can throw messages at the aysnc version of the operation with no problems. However, I cannot access the sync services as an error (attached) is returned, suggesting that it cannot find the operation. This may be occurring because the sync service operations contain the same input parameters as operations within the provider and consumer services.
    The sync service works correctly if deployed separately, so I'm a little baffled. The services.xml file seems sane (attached too!).
    I do have a feeling it's to do with the dispatchers. However, ensuring the RequestURIBasedDispatcher is the first dispatcher to be used, and then accessing the service via the following uri, does not seem to stop the error:
    http://serviceuri/axis2/services/serviceName/operationName
    I apologise if this is quite a silly question - I am still embracing the learning curve that is Axis 2 ;) Any suggestions or guidance would be very much appreciated!
    Kind regards,
    Simon

    Thanks

    Oh my God! I'm having the exact problem with my new 30G iPod with video, which I got as a replacement with my warranteed iPod. It resets itself when I sync, or even when I restore the iPod. I was on the phone for two hours with multiple Apple technicians, who couldn't figure out what's wrong and asked me to send it for repair. You know what? They couldn't find anything wrong with it, so they sent it back. Not surprisingly, it still doesn't work. To be sure that it's not my system that's causing this problem, I tried syncing on two computers, two operating systems (WINDOW XP and OS X), and two USB cables. So I'm definitely sure it's not my system, which leads me to think I also got a LEMON! Now I am on the phone yet again, actually am being put on hold for the millionth time. I wonder if michlexi, or anyone with the same problem, was able to find resolution??

    Hi vlsn,
    Can you try with the below code
    // in your backing bean
    OperationBinding operation = bindings.getOperationBinding("verifyLogin");
    //Put your both parameters here
    operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name1", parameterValue1);
    operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name2", parameterValue2);
    operation.execute();
    if (operation.getResult() != null) {
