IPod Photo dosen't work

Hi
I wanted to listen to some music when I stood up this morning, tried turning it on but nothing happen. I was wondering, tried recharching it, it turned on and I thought "fine" it works. I tried to do something on the scrolling wheel, the "wheel lock button". Still, nothing happen, can it have been disconnecting somehow? - My guess would be it has been dropped around in my backpack. What should I do?

Have you tried resetting your iPod:

  • IPod Photo won't work at all...

my iPod Photo used to work just fine for over 6 months now... but suddenly it went dead.
I though that the battery needed to be charged, i plugged it in my powerbook but it wasn't recognized by the computer and it did not start charging. i plugged it in through power adapter and it won't charge again.
I tried to reset my ipod but nothing happens.
I can't restore or update the software, because my computer doesn't recognize ipod at all.
    any suggestions?
    I would really appreciate any...

Have you tried plugging it into the charger and leaving it overnight? I've read that if the battery is dead, this will happen. You won't see anything until the battery is sufficiently charged. This happened to mine once. My screen stayed off until the Ipod was sufficiently charged and then the screen came back on with a low battery level. Then, I left it on the charger overnight and it was okay.

  • 3 week old 60gb iPod Photo won't work

I bought a 60gb iPod Photo approximately 3 weeks ago. Very, very happy with my purchase even with the release of the video enabled Pod recently.
Anyway - this morning it refuses to work. It won't power up. Nothing. Blank screen.
Have tried all the resetting suggested in Apple support. Nothing. It just won't power up under any circumstances. (Tried plugging it to AC as well)
    Very frustrated.

Perhaps you should take it back to an Apple Store if possible, to have it checked.

  • Ipod Touch Dosen't work anymore.

I have this iPod touch since September. Always work well and all. But yesterday, it stop working for no reason. 2 or 3 hours before, i was listening to it and it was working well. Later in the night, I wanted to see what time is it, and no matter what I was pressing or touching, it doesn't want to turn on. At the time, i was thinking by battery was empty because perhaps i let my music play. But today, i plug it into my computer and nothing happen.
Someone already got this problem or know about it? Is the battery already dead after seven month?
    Thanks for Help.

  • IPOD Photo import not working

I have a brand new canon 870IS, and the newest IPOD 80GB classic. When I use the camera connector, it says the accessory is not supported. However, my older IPOD imports the pictures fine. Do I need to download new software to import photos?

The iPod camera connector is not compatible with the iPod classic at this time. No software update is available.

  • Ipod photo 20GB______ Stopped working/nocharge/ screen is jumbled

So I was using my ipod, music still playing and the screen goes white, then all the screen gets jumbled like an old tv... I could go from screen to screen but it would just jumble, when I took it into the apple store it started working by itself, then two weeks later did the same thing and it hasn't worked since

Like any warranty, the ipod warranty does not cover damage.

  • IPod Photo Does not works...

Hi, I wanted to reset my iPod, so I've done it using iTunes...The iPod was resetting. Then the iTunes "told me" to connect the iPod to the AC adapter (without the computer) and an image on the iPod screen suggest it too. I've done it, but the screen does not change...and when I try to start the iPod it continue to display that image! I can't connect my iPod to the PC because the PC does not "see" the iPod. I don't know what to do, beacuse if i try to reset the iPod (hold on, hold off and then keep pushing menu and select for 6 seconds) it seems to reset but then it returns like I've done nothing! There is alway that image of the AC Adapter near an electric plug!
    Help me please!!!

Your iPod needs to get charge with an ac charger to complete the Restore process.
Try to do a Reset and connect it back with the ac charger, be patient, wait for a bit longer i.e. 2 minutes
If it does not solve, find another ac charger with another iPod cable, or an iPod car charger or an iPod speaker dock system e.g. iPod HiFi, Bose sounddock etc

  • Ipod photo doesnt work with any of my devices

    What are you talking about?
    What "devices" ?
What do you mean "works with none of them"?

  • Loading Podcast to iPod photo 20g

I have an iPod Photo 20gig. Works great, but I can't always get a podcast to load from my Mac to the iPod. When I try to drag it from my iTunes list to the iPod (in iTunes), the iPod icon in iTunes won't highlight, and I can't load up the selected podcast. This is only happening with one podcast.

In another thread ( http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1524557 ) turingtest2 suggests that "you must use an automatic sync option (at least for the Podcasts section) for them to appear in the iPod's Podcast menu". Perhaps the Classic is more demanding with Podcasts, who knows!
    Roarry wrote:
I see the status bar showing that I'm loading something into the iPod. But when loading is done, I cannot find the file anywhere in my iPod, much less in the PodCast section. Note that I see the capacity of the iPod decreased due to audio content increase.
As you say that you see the capacity decrease due to audio content, that would suggest that the Podcasts are in audio somewhere and have not been transferred as data files. Check in the music section under Artists, Albums and even Genres/Podcasts. If you cannot find them, I'm not sure what else to suggest.
I've got an equally silly question, why don't you use sync to automatically load your iPod, rather than dragging stuff on and off? Unless your total audio content is greater than your iPod's capacity, it is by far the best thing to do. You can still manage the content, by selecting/unselecting the individual song titles in your library and you can also keep all the Podcasts or let iTunes delete them once you have listened to them.

  • 60GB iPod Photo Not Syncing/Connecting/Showing (New March 2005)

I have an 4G iPod photo that has worked flawlessly until one morning it stopped syncing. That is, showing up at all on the desktop. I have a Dual G5 Rev A PowerMac. No connection via FireWire 800, 400, or USB 2.0.
It shows up once every 20 to 50 tries. Does not show up on my wife's iBook via USB 2.0 either.
The last time it installed, I did run Disk Utility and reinstalled the iPod software to no avail. The iPod plays fine, has plenty of battery time, and charges just fine off the AC adapter. I replaced the battery with the same results.
I have done the 5 "R's" multiple times, and reinstalled OS X 10.4.7 also.
No errors, no Sad iPod, no syncing.
    Say it: What's Up???

    Not answered, moved on.

  • Does ipod nano work with ipod photo dock, s-video out?

Does the ipod nano work with the ipod photo dock, with an s-video out? Will apple make one for the nano specifically?

The iPod nano cannot show photos on an external device, I suspect Apple have not built this feature into the hardware. The options for showing to a TV are not in the photo menus either.

  • My ipod touch 4th generation says to connect to itunes. I did, and it says I have to restore my ipod for it to work. I have about 6,000 photos on there that I do not want to lose. What do I do?

My iPod touch 4th generation says on the screen to connect to iTunes. When i connected it to iTunes, it says i must restore my ipod for it to work. However, I have over 6,000 pictures that I've taken over the past two years that i do not want to lose. What do I do? I already tried resetting it by holding down the home/power button, that doesn't help.

Elitegate, the poster siad his iPod has the Connect To iTune screen, You can't backup the iPod when in that mode.
