IPod Playlist on the iPad - How do you make it play?

Is it just me or is the iPod interface on the iPad weird? About all I have been able to do is play albums and songs. How do you play a play list? When I select a play list I can see the songs there, but when I hit the play button it starts playing whatever song I was listing to before I selected the play list. When I try to select one of the songs in the play list (like I would on the iPhone), it wants to drill down to the album and play only those songs. Someone please enlighten me on what I am doing wrong with the play lists. I don’t see anything in the users guide on this.

Well, it is a bit weird, but in order to play a song in a playlist or to just start playing the play list, you need to actually tap on one of the songs in the list, not the play button. The playlist will then start playing at that song. To shuffle the list, with a song playing, tap the album cover image (if it has one, or just the screen if it doesn't) and the controls will appear. The shuffle control is that squiggly arrow thing to the right of the time indicator bar. When it turns blue, shuffle is on. Tap it again to turn shuffle off.
