created 6 new playlists for my ipod from my ipod since updated to iOS 4. connected to itunes to load music from cd and disconnected to find that all my playlists have been deleted. oh im real ******.

I want to remove a large amount of songs from my ipod, without deleting them from my itunes.
I unchecked them all in itunes, but accidentally synced my ipod without selecting "Sync only checked songs." But now when I sync it--even with that box checked-- it leaves all the unchecked songs on my ipod.
I can't seem to just go into the music on my ipod and delete them either.
Is there anyway I can automatically remove all the unchecked songs from my ipod without deleting them from itunes?
(I know I can manually choose what to sync, but it would be a massive headache to go through 30 gigs of music to select the 20 I want on there....)

So the *Sync only checked songs and videos* option is still ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab correct? If so, what options do you have ticked from under the Music tab for your iPod? If it is set to only sync *Select Artists, Playlists, and Genres* try changing that to sync your entire music library. Then make sure to hit the Apply button to update the changes to your iPod.

i was able to connect and synced songs yesterday.
but when i tried it again today. i cant connect again.
i tried to disconnect and reconnect million times and i even dropped
my iPOD and now it has some scratch and i hate it.

IPod playlists delete?!

So, I have an iPod touch, and I had like 15 playlists. But, after a while they start to delete without me doing anything (that I know of). I add more, or remake the ones I lost, but if I don't listen to them for a while, they dissapear. It kind of makes me dissapointed, because I really liked some of my playlists. Does my iPod do this on purpose - as part of personalizing my music for me, does it automatically delete the playlists if I don't use them for a while? Thanks!

I kept running into bad synchs with iTunes and the Mini - I finally just wiped the ipod, carefully set up the playlists again and updated the Mini. No problems since then. If it's a playlist that's only on your iPod, then whenever you update, it's going to delete them to match iTunes.

Reset IPOD but fails to synch with iTUNES

I've had my iPOD for 3 years. Now, I can't synch my 40GB iPOD, serial #jq3370d2pq6, with Windows iTUNES. I tried hitting the MENU/pause-play button simultaneously to reset it, then recharged it. My battery discarges before the iTUNES can recognize and load the iPOD playlists. Has my battery reached end of life? How do I replace the battery if has reached end of life?

replacing the battery is easy. just google the info needed to replace it there are quite a few sites that give you step by step, pic, even video info on how to do it. did mine in less than 5 minutes.

Ipod Classic No Longer Synchs after Itunes Moved to New Computer

I successfully restored my itunes from old computer to external hard drive to new computer. Then I tried to sync iPod Classic 80 GB, but was told I couldn't synch it to new computer. So I restored Ipod to factory settings and tried synching again. It put on just a handful of songs I never heard of. Meanwhile my 10,000 or so songs iin iTunes on my computer did not make it to my iPod. How to get the itunes over to my now freshly restored iPod?

Please be patient, sync issues are time consuming, if you are lucky, just a Hard Rest and Restore will solved it.

So you can see all your 10,000 songs, in the new PC iTunes, and do you have any problem syncing the iPod using iTunes 10.5.3.3 on the old computer?
Can you do a Hard Reset as below
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

New Ipod Nano 7 not synching to iTunes MacBook air

Help! I bought a new Ipod Nano generation 7 which I cannot synch to ITunes (11.2.1(1)) using my MacBook Air, OS X 10.7.5. I have iTunes Match.
I read through the boards and tried everything:
- using a different USB port
- reseting the iPod
- Updating Itunes
- ensuring synch is checked under music
- trying to synch with just one song checked
- yelling at the iPod and then crying myself to sleep

Here's my problem (and take into account I am not technically savvy). I use my iPod nano every day and have an extensive playlist, but my iPod nano is synched with a friend's Mac and under her account, and she has moved out of the area I live in. I downloaded iTunes for Window (7) onto my PC and opened my own account. How do I transfer my playlist from my iPod nano under my friend's Mac account (and there's no way to contact her) to my PC and my own iTunes account? I was told to first "unsynch" my iPod from her Mac using Senuti or Export on my PC, but I cannot find a free version of either program, and don't want to download a free program from a website that may be unreliable. From there, I'm totally lost. So, I basically want to know if this can be done, because I have to hire a technician at my local Apple store to do this whole process for me (I'm terrified of losing my playlist) and want to keep the costs down (they charge $40 per half hour and money is tight for me). I also want to back up my playlist, and looked into creating a Cloud account, but it says to synch my iPod with Cloud first, and I don't dare to try that on my own, so I guess I'll have to pay for the techs to do it. Is there another way to store my playlist, such as a flash drive? Still, I don't dare to touch anything on my iPod without face-to-face technical support. Ipod playlists in wrong order, in itunes they show correct (by rating), copy to play order doesnt work

Trying to set the ipod correctly since new updates and the song order is wrong, in itunes is correct as i intended it by rating, but on the ipod shows wrong, tried deleting playlist, full restore, copy to play order and manual upload, all to no avail. im loosing the will to live frankly.

only in the play lists in the ipod, no criteria seem to work. when i hit artist or songs it appears as it always did alphabetically, do u not see them likewise?
