Ipod prob.  Powers on, Powers off automatically..

My ipod will always say please wait low battery. Then it automatically powers on.. goes to the language selection screen, then says do not disconnect... then it powers off automatically and does this all over again. Someone please help me find out what the problem is and how do i resolve this. Thank you.

My 30 gig 5th gen does the same thing, only it doesn't appear in itunes so I can't restore it. Help us out!!

I have not heard of a good reason for this to happen or how to fix. 3 days later my screen lights up and says to connect to charger.... so its back "for now". Best music player on the market when it works.

  • BB Z10 Powers off automatically/screen freezes

I see I am not the only customer whose BB Z10 powers off automatically or has their BB screeen go black or freeze. This is the second phone since I purchased on May 2. Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what to do. I really like this phone, but don't like phone powering off in the middle of an email. Help.

Troubledbbuser, let's unfreeze your device and stop it from powering off by itself. Have you downloaded a few applications to your device? Some application's software can affect the performance of your device. I recommend that you delete any unwanted applications on your device and power it off/on. Keep us posted and reach out to us on Twitter @VZWSUPPORT if need additional assistance.

  • My iPod won't stay powered off

My 1st gen iPod refuses to stay powered off.  I can switch it off by pressing the power switch, then swiping the "slide to power off". The shutdown screen displays (spinning circle of lines) for a couple of seconds and then the screen switches off. It looks as though the iPod has actually powered down at this point, but less than a second later it boots up again.
I have disabled Wi-Fi, turned off notifications and there are no alarms set, so I can't see any reason why it should want to power up by itself.
I have only recently tried powering it off - for the last couple of years I have generally left it just in sleep mode, and that has been fine. However the battery seems to be on its way out, hence wanting to power it off completely to rateain as much charge as possible
But why does my iPod refuse to stay powered off? Any thoughts?

I did power off the iPod when it was in the "reset to factory" state, and it powered itself up again just as before.
A service sounds expensive, and add on the cost  of a new battery and it is probably more cost effective to purchase a new 4gen iPod or alternative product.  For now I think I'll just wait until the battery completely dies (and I'll know because it will stop trying to power itself up).
I have actually found a way of getting it to power off, and stay off:
    Connect it to my MacBook
    Power off
Disconnect the cable from the Mac
Remove the cable from the iPod
If I remove the cable from the iPod first then it immediately powers up again - perhaps because the connections don't disconnect as cleanly as they do with the USB end of the cable.

  • OSX crashes when glyph hard-drive is powered on or off. [crash log]

Hi, I'm having an issue where a Glyph hard-drive is crashing the whole system if it is ever powered on or off when connected to the system.  It was currently daisy chained through an Mbox 2 Pro when this happened, but this configuration wasn't an issue in the past.  It happens very consistently whenever the hard-drive is powered on or off after being ejected.  I tried to copy and paste the crash log this time around and was curious if anyone can help me identify possible problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Able to see what machines are powered on or off

For SCCM I would like the ability to open the computer view and instantly be able to see what machines are powered on or off, and also what users are currently logged in (if any).  This is a huge help when using Tivoli because you can instantly see
what computers are going to get the software and if someone is logged in you can track who is using what computer.  This is one of the important tools that I use daily with Tivoli and don’t want to lose that functionality.

you could use right click tools to ping all the computers in a collection.
Kindly mark as answer/Vote as helpful if a reply from anybody helped you in this forum. Delphin

I powered my iPad off and when I turned it back on it is telling me to reconfigure it. So I select English then United States then I selected my WiFi then message comes up that says your iPad could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPad to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes. Have tried several times and it is still not working. Nothing will show on screen on icons nothing.

Try to Update your iPad to iOS 6.1.4 when connected to iTunes via USB too.. You do not need to touch anything on your iPad to update your iPad either..

I can't see the iPod icon nor does plugging it into the USB port automatically start iTunes anymore. I recently upgraded to 10.6.3 from 10.5.8. Now what?

I would like to move my songs from my ipod nano back on to my freshly reinstalled windows and iTunes.  Can that be done?  I turned off automatic syncing so I can charge up the ipod.  Help!

You won't be able to, just by navigating out the iPod's photos folder in iTunes. You'll likely need the help of some sort of third party software to get the job done for you.  One thing you'll want to keep in mind about these photos is that they are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnail versions that were optimized for viewing on your iPod's Video smaller 2.5" LCD display.

  • Droid Razr - powers on and off repeatedly - no service - no nothing

I recently had a power button issue on a 3 year old razr (no problems for the entire duration)... Worked great, no complaints... till two weeks ago... Anyway, Verizon sent me a replacement "like new" phone due to extended warranty concerns.  Received it late last week used it one day no issues.  Downloaded some of my old apps (that were on my old razr) and worked fine for one more day.  Now for the past two days, the phone has been powering on/off on its own and doesn't receive any texts, no access to email, internet -constantly says no service. Went for a long ride today to areas where I have previously had service - thinking the thing was trying to do some updates - and the device powered on and off so much the battery completely died.  I am so frustrated I want to be done with this.  Any suggestions?

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing with your Razr Cornell75. I would be frustrated if my phone was doing these random things. It could be some of the apps you recently downloaded are causing phone to have problems, power cycle, and drain battery. Please try placing in Safe Mode for a few hours, or a day, to see if anything changes. http://bit.ly/PTPbLS
If you notice an improvement, I would suggest removing some apps, if not all, then re-installing a few at a time, (days in between). If you notice pattern starting again, it'll be easier to determine which app it could be, and remove it. However, if problem continues, it may be the device and we'd have to do more troubleshooting, possibly even do another replacement.
Please keep us posted and let us know if improves with Safe Mode/ removing apps.

  • My iPod touch turns itself off automatically

I got my iPod touch 2G 16GB this Monday and it reacts strangely when it plays music or video using the speaker, it turns itself off automatically. Is it because of the low battery? Or anything else?

it might be because of the battery, or it could just be that it is putting itself in "sleep" mode, if that is what has happened it will "wake" when you push the hold or the home button. but im not sure this is just a guess. what happens when you push one of the buttons after it has shut down? does it continue to play the music once it has turned off?

  • My ipod turns off automaticly

everytime i lock my ipod and after like 10 mintues of being lock my ipod seems to automaticly turn off and i have to turn it on again to use it. Is there a solution to this by the way my ipod is broken can that be the cause or is my ipod actually programed to shut down automatically after not being active for more than 10 mins?
and i know it isnt because of the battery because this occurs when i have full battery

    Try:

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
