Ipod problem loading videos

ok, well i download a movie off an azureus torrent, i think right now its an ISO file, i dont know if ipod use that file, im a begineer, i got my 30gb video for christmas and have never used itunes before! ok so my problem, when i try to drag my movie over to itunes i just simply ignores it! so i tried changing it to run with quicktime, and it still didnt load onto my ipod
please help!

iTunes does not support ISO files since they are not even movie. They are image files probably ripped off a DVD or VCD of the movie files. Therefore you'll have to search for a tool and convert them to MP4/MPEG files in order to use them on your iPod.
Look online for a conversion tool that does that.

  • Problem loading videos to my Ipod Touch

    Hi
I wonder if there is a possibility someone could point me in the direction of a step by step tutorial on loading videos to my Touch.
I've already successfully loaded several albums of mp3s.
However I just cannot get videos on there at all.
I have converted them to the correct format ( mp4) yet cannot either drag and drop them, nor load them by using the options add new folder / add to playlist.
If someone could advise of the process step by step I would be grateful.

OK, first a few questions, because not all mp4 files are the same, at least as far as the iPod is concerned.
When you have iTunes up, and you click on Movies in the upper left hand corner you should get a list of movie files (these files should be located in My Documents at that level, not in subfolders). Do you see the name of the video there? If not, try under File to "Add file to library ..." Does it do it? If not, you don't have the right type of mp4 file. If it does, but when syncing it complains it can't find it, you need to click on it and then under Advanced select "convert to ipod."

My iPhone is NOT jailbreak and never had a jailbreak.

I think we should try a clean reinstall of Flash Player; do the following
    go to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
download the 64-bit uninstaller and save it to disk
download the 64-bit installer (for Internet Explorer) and save it to disk
close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller
    restart Windows
using Windows Explorer, go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there
using Windows Explorer, go to C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash and delete any remaining files in there
    now run the downloaded installer
Can you now see the Flasg animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?

  • Problem loading videos Premiere 8

    Hi everyone,
I just install Premiere 8 after workign on a project with Premeire 7.
I can open my project without problem but then all the videos are loding. I got a message in the even part (left bottom side) where ti's written loaded I:/ .... (300 videos remaining).
Is that normal? It was not like that with 7 and it takes a while every time I want to use my project. Or is it because I'm working from an external HD?
    Thanks,
    Kavinsky69

The challenge is that, in opening the file in version 8, you also probably corrupted it so that you can't open it now in version 7 either (which is why I recommend against opening a project file in a newer version of the program in all of my books).
If that's the case, the wisest solution is to redo the project.

  • Problem loading video to FLVPlayback

I'm doing the exercises included in the book "ActionScript 3.0 for Adobe Flash CS4 Professional Classroom in a Book", but I have run into a problem I cannot solve regarding the use of the source property of the FLVPlayback component.
This is how the folders structure of the project is laid out:
    - Lesson11 >
    - Complete
    - Start >
    lesson11_start.fla
    - video >
    solution5.f4v
I have an instance of FLVPlayback in the stage in file lesson11_start.fla
Following instructions in the exercise, I have to assign the source property of this component the video file listed above by using the component inspector. So I have to click on the magnifying glass in the field which corresponds to the mentioned property, and browse to this video file.
I can't do that. There is no browse dialog box, just one with a field in which you must enter the path to the video file.
So what I do is to enter this relative path (I'm using Windows):
    "..\video\solution5.f4v"
An error like this appears: "NetsStream.Play.StreamNotFound", saying that there is no video file there!
I also try with absolute paths, with slashes instead of backslashes..., and I just get to get it working if I copy this video file in the same folder in which lesson11_start.fla is, and enter "solution5.f4v".
Please somebody tell me the reason why paths don't work as expected.

One of the reasons that it may not be working as you expect is that when flash is deployed to a webserver the relative path is mapped from the location of the html file it is mapped to and not from where the swf file resides. I don't think this applies to running locally on your machine. Did you try just entering video\yourvideoname.f4v ?

  • Problem loading videos after update

i recently update my phone to the iso 8.2 and now no videos online will load. I'm not sure what's going on.

I've seen a few threads on this and on some blogs.
Seems there are a few things you could try, before the nuclear approach.
    * Log out of the store and log back in
    * Or, download app to iTunes and sync to iTunes
    * Or, press and hold the power button until the slider shows, then shut it down. Restart.
This did happen to me with a different app (if it the same issue) and the restarting the device fixed it.

  • Problem loading video over internet

Well, after banging my head against the wall the last couple of days and going through these forums I've decided to ask for some assistance.
I can't seem to get the video to play on the internet.  It works fine locally and I've loaded the page from the server itself and it works fine.  Of the three browsers I'm using, Safari, at least gives me an error stating that it can't locate the "flv" file.  Even though I know it's there and it's in the same directory as the other files it is able to load.
It's possible that the video is getting blocked, but how that is happening is unknown to me.  I've  checked my router ports and 80 is open as well as 8080.
Here is a link to the site, (This is an example page downloaded from the Dreamweaver site for testing purposes)
    http://www.whatsnexttothemoon.com/video/homewebsite/videopage1.htm
    Thank you for any assistance.
    Robert

Check your naming as when I use - http://www.whatsnexttothemoon.com/video/homewebsite/FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf
The video does not show, also are you using a standard .swf or a 'custom' file as you are also showing this in your code -
    <param name="FlashVars" value="&amp;MM_ComponentVersion=1&amp;skinName=Halo_Skin_3&amp;streamName=TBM7&amp;autoPlay=true&amp;autoRewind=true" />
Showing that you are using streaming.

  • Problem loading video path

    Hi,
I have a big project with a lot of videos on premiere elements 8. There are all located on an external HD (in different folders) as well as the file project. I haven't work on it for two months an last week when idecided to work on it again, premiere didn't remeber any of the videos path, so i add to tell him where to look for every video and it tooke 1h30! And today i opened my file again and same stuff happened! It does't remember where the videos are! How can i fix this? I'm gonna enter the paths manually every time i have to work on my project!
I'm runningon windows Premiere Element 8
    Thanks for your help

    Kavinsky69
Are you running Premiere Elements 8 as the 8.0.1 Update?
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4653
Are the automatic Background Rendering and AutoAnalyzer shut OFF?
For Background Rendering option, please see Edit Menu/Preferences/General/ and "Enable Background Rendering" to make sure that it is OFF.
For AutoAnalayzer please click on Organzier tab in the row below the selected Organize header to open the Elements Organizer. In the Elements Organizer workspace, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoAnalyzer options and shut OFF all the options there. To get back to the Premiere Elements workspace from the Elements Organizer workspace, go to File Menu/Exit.
Next, is your external hard drive "drive letter" changing on its own between projects?
Regarding the files that went into the project as source media...have they been moved from their hard drive save location or other altered after you saved/closed your project?
Also, are photos included in this project? If so, what are their pixel dimensions and how many of them are there?
We will be watching for your follow up and then decide what next if necessary.
    Thanks.

  • Loading video to 160gb classic

I can't load video into my ipod library after its been ripped,  (istudio & DVD Magic). I have no problem ripping video formats but my library just wont accept it, (simple drag and drop), I already have a 60gb ipod that i have had no problem loading video. I then updated to the 160gb to fit more video but it won't accept the avi files video into my library. They play fine on my pc.

I've just found out last night that iTunes does not allow videos not from the iTunes store. That's not a very good promotion for iTunes. Well, you can always try loading it into Windows Media Player, then dragging the file into your iPod on "Disk Mode".

  • . I am new to IPods. I have a Classic 160GB and I can't figure out how to load my music videos to it. I have had no problem loading my music CD's but no go with the music videos I have. Please HELP. Thanks maxsdad

    Hello:
I am new to IPods. I have a Classic 160GB and I can't figure out how to load Music Videos to iTunes or the IPod. I have had no problem loading my CD's to iTunes and to the IPod, but no go on the Music Videos.
    Please Help
    maxsdad

    B-Rock:
Ok. Here's the results. I tried all the music videos I wanted to put onto the IPod and the results were:
I was able to get good results with 2 full length music videos and 2 video singles(only 2 videos on each disk). For a total of 4 videos.
I was able to encode 5 full length music videos, but the results were distorted (video and audio).
I was unable to copy 2 full length videos due to error failures. 1 was a "No Title Found" error, the other was a "NAVDAT" error.
I guess my next question is: Do you know of any other program(s) that I might try, to see if I can get good results with the videos that didn't work with Handbrake?
Thanks again for all your help.

  • IPod will not load videos or purchases.

I received my black 30gb video iPod for Christmas. When I opened the box everything seemed to work fine. The click wheel seemed a little laggy but I just dismissed it as a design flaw.
Having been without a working iPod for almost 6 months I was eager to transfer all of my music to it. When I connected it to my Macbook Pro and began the instructional process, I was informed with the following error message with something along the lines of:
“Some songs won't transfer to your iPod because your iPod software is too old.”
Now, seeing as I was about to embark on an eight-hour drive to my college campus, I was in no position to seek a resolution to my dilemma. It is only now that I am able to fully devote myself to the problem.
    The Problem
I have two computers, my Macbook Pro and a PC I built two summers ago. When I first received the error message, my first reaction was to update it. However, both the "Update" and "Restore" features are grayed out when I plug my iPod into my Mac. This prevents me from updating it or restoring it in any form on OS X.
Next I looked at the "About" feature under my iPod's settings and noticed that the iPod was configured for Windows. We did not intentionally buy an iPod formatted for Windows nor had we plugged it into a Windows oriented computer prior to opening it. The fact that it came to me already a slave to Windows didn’t bother me since I know that a Windows iPod can be read by both OS X and XP, but the fact that I could not update or restore my iPod still bothered me.
I plugged the iPod into my Windows computer to try to update it. I did to my surprise find an update but when I tried to plug it back into my Mac, I still received the same error. I even tried to reformat the iPod.
I have the most recent versions of Quicktime, iTunes, and iPod software known to me.
    Quicktime Player Pro 7.1.3
    iTunes 7.0.2
    iPod Software 1.2.1
None of my purchased music or videos will transfer. It is also interesting to note that podcasts, and self-loaded videos will ALSO not transfer to the iPod.
If there is any other information (including screenshots) that I can provide, please let me know as I would be more than willing to obtain them.
    -Thanks
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

yes itunes can convert movies into ipod playable format. to do this you have to do the following below
1)add the file you want to convert to the itunes library( file->add file to library)
    2) once you added the file right click on the file and select covert selection for ipod
    3) this will start the conversion and when thats done you will be able to load the videos onto your ipod.
mpg is not a playable format for the ipod. the videos have to be in quick time format.
but i wont advise you to use itunes to convert your videos. it takes too long when converting. try using a third party conversion programme like videora there are others try googling them
    hope that helps

  • Itunes Wont Load videos onto Ipod

hi, i currently have a 60GB ipod video, and now itunes is refusing to load any videos onto my ipod, i tried so many different programs to convert video, eg videora, PQ DVD, and Replay converter etc.
and i get the same error, it says video was not copied to the ipod because it cannot be played on this ipod.
is there a way to load videos without using Itunes? or can i force itunes to load the videos?
    any help would be appreciated...
    thanx ^_^

"All my songs are listed on the IPOD but are faded where they are in regular font in my library"
Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists".
Try restoring your iPod, this will erase the hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. This will give you a fresh installation and allow you to start over: Restoring iPod to Factory Settings

  • Problems transfering videos to ipod since installing itunes 6.02

So, i just upgraded to itunes 6.02 and now i can't transfer videos onto my ipod. It tells me they aren't in the correct format or a format the ipod can play. Before i upgraded i had absolutely no problems. I have tried taking off files that uploaded fine with the previous version of itunes and uploading them with the newer version and they don't work either. I've got the latest updater software and that's made no difference.
I've used both Videora and Apollo ipod convertors and neither make any difference. I've tried both mpeg4 and h.264 formats, but that doesn't work either.
Why do apple bring out software that creates new bugs?!

I just bought a 5th gen and cannot transfer videos.
The videos are a computer format (could not play on TV) and I converted them to play on Ipod like help file stated. It stated that I can drag and drop to Ipod icon that shows when I connect the Ipod and use ITunes. Well no can do! It transfered to ITunes and will play in ITunes but cannot get to Ipod. My Ipod has a video section so I know I can have them on it. I tried with manual and automatic update selected.
    Am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks
    Jim
